And That's a White Sox Winner !
Not to be nitpicky but didn't they win back to back series against the twins and reds? One can be forgiven for forgetting any highlights thus far in 2023. All that said they need to rattle off 5 or 6 in a row to "feel" some real progress.

5/20 Royals @ Whitesox 1:10 start. Giolito VS Lyles
If they can win tomorrow then the series in Cleveland becomes pretty large. 2 out of 3 there would be essential to start clawing back into this thing.

5/20 Royals @ Whitesox 1:10 start. Giolito VS Lyles
Our leadoff hitter is just an extension of the bottom of the lineup this year.

5/19: Royals @ White Sox - 7:10 PM Start
Bad baserunning sure but that was just heads up veteran instinct from Greinke. Nobody could anticipate him in the location right there with them missing the 3rd base cutoff.

5/18: White Sox vs Guardians - 1:10 PM Start
Even when seby is successful his at bats are terrible. Awful showing today.

I like Andrew but his approach has been very poor lately. Lotta high fastballs. Lotta frustration on his face.

I dont know what any of this means.

Not enough positivity for this 12 under team.

If he's stealing bases what exactly makes you think he's still hurt?

TA a liability all series

5/18: White Sox vs Guardians - 1:10 PM Start
Why run right there? So if he's out Grandal can lead off the next inning with a single that'll take 3 hits to get him in. What are they doing?
-
5/18: White Sox vs Guardians - 1:10 PM Start
That was a horrendous decision to try to steal there.

5/18: White Sox vs Guardians - 1:10 PM Start
There is no logical answer to that.

3 automatic outs in a row comes up and bites us there.

Garfein: Tim Anderson hates pitch clock, not Chicago
Minnie had a few skeletons in his closet. Point is though to throw some kind of racial argument into the mix is hot garbage. For a fanbase that worships guy like Allen, Baines and Thomas and Abreu. It's lazy self delusion.

Garfein: Tim Anderson hates pitch clock, not Chicago
It's easy to prove your point when you omit information.

Garfein: Tim Anderson hates pitch clock, not Chicago
Honestly if he feels he didn't have time lead off and focus because pitchers are now operating much faster, it makes all the sense in the world why he'd say that. Nonetheless, adapt. All the other teams have.

5/13- Astros at Sox, 6:15, Fox
So constantly impressed at how they find new ways to f up.

Change the game

May 12 Astros @ White Sox 7:10
I chose to watch "Air" tonight with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon instead of this trash. Made the right choice apparently. JR is going to lose this organization's most die hard and steadfast fans and its nobody's fault but his own at this point.

Is Vaughn a good enough 1b to rebuild around?
I still think the power is in there. It's going to take a little while away from Menechino for some of these guys to break away from what he was pushing. If he hasn't flashed the power by the end of the year, or had say a month or two where he pops 10 hr, then maybe start to explore other options. But I'd definitely hang onto him.

Keuchel's Mom may have been right all along!
“We came out flat and I felt like we stayed flat the whole game,” starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel said. “We’ve got some guys coming out and taking professional at-bats, being professional on the mound and doing what it takes to win and we’ve got some guys going through the motions. So we need to clean a lot of things up. If we want to be in this thing at the end of the season, we need to start that now.” That's a quote from Dallas in 2020. Foreshadowing of what was to come. Dude pitched like garbage on his way out but maybe the reason he was so "unlikable" here is because he refused to settle into the culture of complacency.

Least likeable team since 2000
To be fair I don't think the author of the thread intended to insinuate "this is the most unlikeable team since the 2000 club." But rather this is the least likeable team in the last 23 years starting with 2000. Though I hated 2007 equally. Luis Terrera, Ryan bukvich and Andy Gonzalez are just a few names in there that still induce a gag reflex. But at least they tried.....they just had no talent.

Why Graveman?

Opening up my mind to giving the season a clean slate
Agreed. But even 3 of 4 puts them 9 under which is already a 5 game improvement from their rock bottom. A pretty nice amount to make up in just over a week. Gotta keep pushing and have a nice, solid May.
