  • I'm 100% here for him continuing to succeed. But the Getz stans making this face with Ramos succeeding as Soroka gets lit up, Lopez grounds out, Maldonado struggles to hit .100, Brad Keller exist

It's a very good question. I remember him saying something like "we could tell in the dugout when the Sox were going to show up or not" and I'm going to guess on he sold them on "this team is talented

What a pleasure to see a Sox minor leaguer come up and have some success and the team puts some wins together. All I can say is, MORE please

Traded for cash considerations?

They will call him up... at least until they can find another washed up 38 year old utility guy to replace him with.

Methinks David Eckstein is available...

I quickly read that thread title and thought he pulled something and would be out 12 weeks like everyone else

Mendick is more of a “never was”

Well, wish he was never under the tutelage of Grifol. But here we are.

They are bringing Ramos up straight from AA??

Grifol picked #5 for his favorite player George Brett.

Unfortunately, he has absolutely nothing in common with him.

After starting off very cold, he has really turned it on lately, but he'd still be overwhelmed in MLB.

Welcome to Christopher Getz's wild ride!

I am so glad Getz is such a wizard of a GM that he signed all these veterans in the offseason to give our prospects a whole month of seasoning in the minors.  What a genius!!!

So once again, why didn’t Getz just let Jose Rodriguez play in the majors instead of giving him away for cash to the Phillies (a team with a front office with a fucking clue) if he is willing to throw Ramos to the MLB wolves when he currently has MILB stats (.572 OPS) that are just as bad as Popeye’s?

Somehow, some way, @WestEddy will find an excuse for this pathetic roster management by Chris “I’m in over my fucking head” Getz.

Getz literally burned millions in a fire pit this offseason on awful veterans.  Now he is doubling-down and calling up prospects that aren’t ready for the majors.

Can anyone deny Getz’s idiocy at this point?

Here’s a live feed of intelligent Sox fans watching Getz’s (a.k.a. Joker’s) madness…

It's really bizarre how JR's front office has literally wasted millions and millions of dollars on stiffs, has-been's, injury prone guys and retreads, yet he hasn't said a word.

Yet spend a gigantic amount on a game changing superstar? Nope, we can't have that... it offends his financial sensibilities it seems.

Just in.  White Sox bring back Gordon beckham. Getz stated,  " He really knows the team well,  he brings a lot of maturity to the clubhouse,  and he still has something left in the tank. Oh, and he only cost us $2,000 for the rest of the year. He will be the first player announcer "

That’s exactly it, he can say he doesn’t believe in escalating salaries with their current approach.  It’s all about owning a team like he thinks everyone should.

Ozzie was asked on  a pre game show recently what he would do to change whats happening and he said he would bring up the best young players now from the minors. Lets hope Ramos does well if brought up.

Very true. he wants to win his way...history shows his way does not work. Total complete arrogance and ego on his part. And that same arrogance permeates the entire organization, "We know what we're doing, how DARE you question us!"

Getz deciding on his next roster move…

Yeah, and it’s mainly because it’s quite simply Getz’s last option.  He signed a bunch of garbage that he somehow thought would last longer because they could play defense while hoping they would match their career offensive seasons from 3-5 years ago.

Getz is a ?.

Beckham might still be able to hit as well as the rest of the bums in this lineup that Getz put together.

Please don't bring him up to just sit on the bench

I am very confused on what the hell we are doing

I thought he might be called up this season but it feels like there are better options ahead of him at the moment. Is Sosa just done getting chances?
