He is definitely going to be available but they need pitching. Clint Frazier and Andujar is a nice starting point for the Yankees to get a SP.

I have to be up really early but I can't help but listen to this Obituary on the score. So sweet it will be.

There's another picture on Plebbit of the tunnel and a guy packing up the "monitor". It looked like a 50 inch TV
-
Because the Bears were the healthiest team in the league last year and teams actually have film on Nagy now.
-
Bears rejuvinating the Cody Parky market AND fixed Gurley's arthritic knees. WE'RE BRINGING THE JOBS BACK FOLKS! ??

He increased FB velo from 91-93 as a starter to 95-96 as a RP. That's nothing to scoff at from a LHP. The only issue I would have is the IP he had with Milwaukee was 26 innings. I'd be a little hesitant just based on the SSS. If he is fine being a RP I don't see why he wouldn't be an option. He wouldn't be breaking the bank and there is clearly something there.

15.4 K/9 with the Brewers, lol. If he wants to come out of the pen sure.
-
I was actually going to post something similar. I don't think it's implausable for him to put up a .240 average with a .340 OBP, which is what Grandal's career numbers are, probably with more power. It's goofy to give up on him.

I don't want any part of trading Collins. You still don't know what he is at the plate yet because of terrible managing.

It started in 2016, and opening day 2017 onward.

Would you trade for Mookie Betts, and what would you trade

He's with Arizona..before that he was with Houston. -

It's rare but it does happen. They have to get under the tax allegedly and nobody is just going to help them. -

You would have to ask Boston permission to negotiate an extension before trading for him and be prepared to offfer him over 330 million dollars. I don't touch it if it's just a 1 year deal. -
Predict the Market: FA Contracts
BackDoorBreach replied to Look at Ray Ray Run's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It's low 70's I think. I BELIEVE it was 53 million after arb and before Abreu, projected obviously. -
He literally says "I'm not sure what he's trying to do". Yelich needs to not be Charmin Ultra. It doesn't make sense to dunk on Yu either when your team couldn't hit him the entire year.
-
Yeah it makes Yelich look like a fucking bag though. Brewers put up a whopping 0.90 ERA against him this year. Also Yu wasn't even accusing him. A little defensive there from the best player on a team that has at least been accused, credibly or not, of sign stealing.

Untouchable. -
I mean, they have a payroll of 70 million after Abreu and arb figures. 20 million a year isn't exactly crazy for a top pitcher.
-
Some dude on MLBN said Giolito has come up in trade talks with Houston lol? He did say the Sox said fuck off but weird.
-
Because they aren't being linked, JR's refusal to give out big contracts for pitchers, etc. I think it's goofy as well though to say the Sox are out right now. Nobody knows except our FO.
-
This is a really long post to just say you think we should have 4-5 developing pitchers that need as many IP as possible into 2021 and 2 pitchers making actual money over 3 years. Rodon and Lopez would have to be traded. If that is your take then cool, it's your take. But if that doesn't happen they will have 7 SP, and not the Alex Wood type bounce backs.
-
Yes, pitching is extremely important. But unless you are trading Lopez this year there is no logic that says sign 2 multi-year SP. They will have 6 starting SP on the roster in the first half, 4 needing growth and 2 making money, and 7 after the ASB if Rodon doesn't go to the pen which would hurt his diminished value more. 2021 it would be the same story unless we trade SP assets.

Grandal - Early Off-Season Speculation
BackDoorBreach replied to SonofaRoache's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Joc was fine? I'm on the Joc train as well. -
You are for giving Ryu and Wheeler deals, which would be multi-year. 2020 it makes sense to sign 2 SP because of Kopech. 2021 it doesn't make sense because WHAT IF your rotation is Wheeler, Gio, Ryu, Cease, Kopech, Lopez and add in Rodon? That's 7 SP. WHAT IF we are assuming none of those guys have to get TJ or blow their shoulder out? It's a waste of money. They should not be persuing more than 1 multi-year SP this off season. If somebody blows their arm out you can address that offseason going into 2021.
