  1. I actually wouldn't mind Kenny doing his Riverboat Gambler thing and going nuts out.
  2. If they aren't going to be in on Cole/Stras/Wheeler hypothetically, I'd want them to make a run at Ryu. Keuchel is a fat No from me on a multi year deal.
  3. I don't see any way he doesn't get 5/100. That is just the reality of it. He had setbacks after TJ and has been healthy for 2 years. I'm not that concerned about his arm.
  4. There was a lot of chatter on this board about bypassing Cole/Stras and going straight for Wheeler while other teams are busy with the big 2. I think the opposite is true around the league. It looks like Wheeler is going to have by far a much bigger/competitive market.
  5. Pretty much. Although I don't think Lopez is a realistic trade chip right now. If they are going to make a move for a starting RF get somebody good.
  6. That's also front line reliever territory. Those JerryBux add up.
  7. I don't think this is realistic since all of his numbers have been improving. He was worth 3 WAR in 2018 and 2.8 in 2019, improving peripherals in pretty much all major categories over the last 3 or 4 years. Also I think just getting out of Detroit was a huge boost to him. OPS'd over 1000 while playing with the Cubs. I don't hate Calhoun if he is brought in as an addition to Castellanos, I just don't want him in the lineup every day. I don't think it's wise to have a streaky unimpressive hitter get 500 ABs because of his handedness. Obviously this is just my opinion but he has a much higher bust potential than Castellanos and we can't really have a black hole in RF again, even if it's 1 year.
  8. I don't think Castellanos is a bad fit though. He's my #1 want for OF.
  9. He stinks like a Sox signing that fails miserably to me.
  10. I mean then they would be targeting junk. Often injured Corey Dickerson played 3 or 4 games in RF his rookie year in 2013 and that's been it. Who else would even make sense FA wise? I'm not opposed to a trade but I'm pretty skeptical they can get a 3 WAR corner OF.
  11. On the flip side Castellanos is a much better hitter, is younger, and appears to be breaking out if not improving both offensively and defensively. The corner OF is not going to be good or probably not even average but the lineup really needs more production. As long as the Sox don't do something stupid with Abreu and Nick does not improve in RF they can slot him in at DH in 2022/2023 assuming he gets a 4 year.
  12. That's who I wanted, since we have like 4 1B/DH types as it is.
  13. If they can't land any of those guys I don't really want a multi-year deal for anyone else personally. Bum is kind of hard for me to want as well.
  14. Do you have his number by chance? I need to call him and tell him don't give Abreu anything more than a QO for 2020.
  15. Yeah because it's finite, along with roster spots. DH is also a position we could add a LH bat to since this lineup has no balance at all. Or a position we could add somebody that is going to have higher than a .330 OBP.
  16. Not that I want him but MLBTR saying Ozuna "very unlikely" to accept QO.
  17. There is 0 reason to add 2 multi year SP. They need to get a #1 or #2 and a cheap innings eater on a 1 year deal because of the Kopech uncertainty. Anything more is a waste of limited JerryBux
  18. Yeah, he's garbage and so is Kenny. They are going to fuck this rebuild up before it even comes to fruition, especially if the 3/45 for Abreu is true.
  19. 3/45 is awful in terms of years and money. How fucking stupid that would be to paint yourself in a corner and be stuck at DH with 34 and 35 year old Jose Abreu.
  20. I really wanted JDM but unless they want Carson Fulmer or some trash in AA it makes no sense to trade for him considering the opt out next year.
  21. I don't disagree with you at all. I'm pretty sure they are going to keep him there though for better or for worse.
  22. I don't hate this really but it's hard to imagine Tim just being fine with moving to RF. He basically said Machado can fuck himself if he thought he was going to walk in and be the SS in 2019. If we are playing MLB the Show here, why not move Yo to RF and give Rendon a fat bag?
  23. Yeah, there is no way he should be looking at anything longer than a 2020 deal.
