  1. Using free-agency to fill in the existing roster is the way to go IMO. That just takes money. Trades eat into the team's future to deeply.
  2. More like a modern-day Nellie Fox.
  3. If willing to go young...Zaleski is a possibility but light on the resume. What does Katz have that our in-house candidates don't? Don't know much about him so just asking. Dotson seems to be old enough at age 61to have something in common with TL. I doubt we are dumping Coop to go with a total unknown.
  4. I knew about Duncan and was happy he turned it down. Duncan was good in the day but really is time to get some new thoughts into the staff. If I had to guess I would say Dotson is the leading candidate. We like our homegrown boys. When they were so fast to fire Cooper... I assumed they knew who they were getting. The TL hire most have changed the thinking.
  5. I am getting anxious to hear news on the new coaches. I presume the pitching coach would be part of the think tank on which pitchers we will be pursuing. Either going to be pleasantly surprised or irrationally bumed.
  6. You really are a smart baseball fan.?
  7. Tim...Eloy...Jose...starting to feel a little greedy. Better let some other teams have some as well.?
  8. Well deserved!
  9. Flowers
  10. Those are all Republican States and yet so liberal-minded.?
  11. He was a Democrat who ran with Lincoln on the National Union ticket. Wouldn't happen today I think. Franklin Pierce always had that WORST US PRESIDENT tag when I was in school.
  12. Can you imagine how annoying MSNBC or CNN is to a Republican supporter? That's the nature of completion. As sports fans most of us like a good contest. This is like my team playing in the Super Bowl or World Series. If my guy wins I'm elated but I try to be a good loser when it goes the other way.
  13. Bless you, for your well-written overview. Glad to have some company in my defense of one of the best Presidents we've had IMO.
  14. Just goes to show what that award is worth.
  15. Well...at least you're tolerant.
  16. Kill Joy! ?
  17. So does watching WS baseball but it never stops me.?
  18. I'll accept your data because I have no interest in trying to find counter figures. I think both candidates fix on those states they think are in-play. After all...that is the current rules of the game. It has helped your candidate more than mine since Trump obviously has the energy to visit each and every state 3 times if called on to do it. Pretty sure the six states you mention would be Joe's limit. Just kidding.?
  19. Probably 2 hours in bits and pieces when the Sox aren't playing.? I would watch CNN and MSNBC but their bias is over the top. You might want to consider that Hannity and Ingram warn you that they are commentators, not news reporters. The same cannot be said for CNN and MSNBC commentators.
  20. Nope. I've heard of him. Do you like his work?
  21. Just wait...It's coming.
  22. Trump has never committed a crime while in office that I am aware of. Biden and Clinton were in office when their "indiscretions" happened.
  23. There are 538 electors which means to win the Presidency you need 270. States have a number of votes commensurate with their population. What's unfair about that? On the other hand...if the popular vote was the only consideration urban areas would get all the candidate attention while rural areas would have no visits. Candidates would get away with promising things that urban areas want to hear and go unchallenged by the counter-argument. A candidate might tell one area they were for fracking and another that they are against fracking, etc.. A candidate might bring up a minimum wage of $15.00 which doesn't sound high in New York so the candidate says yeah...they favor a $15.00 minimum wage. Low and behold that wage in Little Rock would be ruinous to small business in Arkansas. If it weren't for the electoral college...Joe Biden would never visit Delaware.
  24. Joe is certainly in a compromised position with any deals where he makes trade deals with the Chinese. Time will tell if his actions were treason or not. A biased press does not help get to the bottom of these revelations but they will come out eventually. On a side note...why do you suppose contributions to the Clinton Foundation dried up after she lost her bid for the Presidency? Maybe the Chinese were hoping to have access to Joe Biden. Crooks!
  25. I get the point. When the rules of the Senate don't work to your point of view you want to make up new rules. Because Republicans control the Senate they get to take up a nomination or not. Because Democrats control the House they can impeach the President if they feel like it. What's not to like? I remember when the two sides played nice because they knew that one day the roles would be reversed. Them days are gone my friend.
