We are winning with half a lineup and pitching has been excellent. Get the missing pieces we've discussed this off season and next year we are playing for something beyond draft picks.

Sox will make an offer to retain him in the 4 million area. First he needs to be released. Like some people in regular jobs...he's competent but has gotten expensive for his value to the team.

Grandal and McCann sharing catching & DH with Collins in the mix makes sense. Needs to be explored.

Putting Moncada in cleanup has changed the look of the lineup for the better. Robert and Madrigal added to the lineup make it look absolutely sleek.

I love McCann but the three catchers idea has merit. Depends on how the FO wants to deal with the DH situation. McCann would be primary catcher and both Grandal and Collins would rotate with McCann between catcher & DH.

Yeah...I know the feeling. I'm smart enough to know when watching game 160 of bad baseball...in just a few days it will be gone for months and months. It's a long winter between games.

Winning is more fun than losing for me. Getting a nice preview of what next year will look like.

The oft repeated theme that Jose is a butcher in the field is overused IMO. Most players have a strongest and weakest tool. The GG fielder who can't hit...the speed merchant who can't steal 1st base... the good hitter who clogs the bases. I think he does an adequate job and is actually good at digging balls out of the dirt. He certainly wins more games with his bat than he cost us with his glove.

I have an irrational belief in Cordell. Hope his hit tool improves with regular playing time and we see him sometime in the future.

I would love to see McCann paired with Grandal and Collins. Good catchers have a knowledge of the game that young players learn from.
