Who had a worse game? Urlacher or Orton? Jones or Orton? Keep grindin' that axe though. Gotta keep it sharp. -

QUOTE(bogie @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 01:36 PM) The other outfielders will be Nanita, Collaro, Spidale Collaro's stock plummets in '06 as he strikes out 150 times, and walks only 20, for an OBP

20 passes, 10 running back rushes. -- Yes, the playcalling is a problem. Jones shouldn't get the ball between the tackles, that should be Peterson. Peterson shouldn't be in the game for swing and screen passes. That should be Jones. The recipe for a win with this team is to play ball control, run the ball, pass only when you need to. The most passes that Rothlisberger threw in a regular season game last year was 28. Orton has 20 at halftime. That says it all right there. -

QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) Right now I have him at AA but he is still not a lock yet I think the Rule 5 pick of 3b Tim Hummel all but assures Josh of a return trip. I would like Josh to come back to work on his Defense, Mostly his footwork that is where he commits 80% of his errors that is why I think he can still become a solid 3rd baseman because his weaknesses can be corrected he was starting down that road at the end of last year, He has such a cannon that he can make great plays look routine another note Josh also just completed his first full year of pro ball and he improved greatly the 2nd half of last season. If Hummel was chosen in the AAA portion of the Rule-5, shouldn't that mean that he has to stay at AAA for the whole season? (I have no clue how the minor league portion of the Rule 5 works) I agree, that Schnur will be the 3B at Bham. Hummel's gonna end up at 2B in Charlotte.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Dec 9, 2005 -> 11:59 PM) Shh2005... or jabroni... whatever you rather call him. Was about cotts too i believe. Actually it had to do with Uribe... and I said Uribe was going to have an OPS It seems like such an obvious bet now, but I think this was when Crede was truly sucking.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) Hermanson got by the last two months pitching like s*** i do not care what anyone says. You know i was one of the only cotts supporters around here. I did not want him to fail and you know it. Dang... Does anyone remember what my sig bet was? or even who it was with? I'm sure I won.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 10:50 PM) In that era, you may remember Mark Jewell, was was from Lafayette (Indiana Mr. Basketball 1986, I think?). He was recruited to Iowa by Coach Raveling and then Tom Davis took over. Mark didn't fit into that offense as well and transferred to Evansville. He and I became real good friends at UE. We went up to Lafayette to see the Iowa game in his reds*** year, hence the above story. I don't go back to the Raveling era. I just know my father hated him. (He still thinks Lute is the best coach on the planet) Raveling never had a team finish in the top half of the Big Ten. I think I've only been to 1 (maybe 2) games at Carver-Hawkeye. Most often I saw them play at Welsh-Ryan, so that probably has something to do with why I thought they were so good. Beating up on NW with more than half of the stadium being filled with black and gold. I loved Davis' style. -- I could run, hit set-shot 3's, and had surprising rebounding abilities despite my size, so that's probably why I liked 'em so much too. -- I still follow the program, but with a bit of contempt. -

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) I'm just using it to draw a parallel between Iowa hoops and ISU football. Well, I'll agree that coaches of both programs should be fired. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 10:24 PM) Jason how long you been an Iowa fan? How far back do you go with Hawkeye Hoops? I still think Andre Woolridge was VASTLY underrated, and am consistently surprised not to see him playing in the NBA. I go back to the Gamble/Armstrong/Marble teams.... I recently ran into Wade Lookingbill. THE GREAT WADE LOOKINGBILL! -- The MSU game after Chris Street died was pretty special too. -

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) Perfect quote from a Hawk fan: "Now I know how it feels to be a Cyclone FB fan, they lead you with a carrot (win against Iowa) and lose to Baylor at home. Iowa beats Kentucky and loses to UNI... Now I know why Jack Trice has so many empty seats." Eh. It's basketball. You get "upset" from time-to-time. Santa Clara didn't stop UNC from winning the National Championship. I use the term "upset" loosely, as Iowa was actually the underdog tonight.
