  1. You're on record supporting Cleveland players "right to disrespect the White Sox" as they trash the White Sox on numerous occasions, including the latest with this punk waiving his finger in Tim's face. Doubt Tim or anyone else on the team is looking for your support. Race indeed.
  2. It was a classless as Jerry calling Harry Caray scum in the 1983 locker room. It's a time for celebration, not for indulging in petty grievances while exposing your classless aura to the world. Then again I'm not surprised at the vocal core here who would rather defend the disgraceful Cleveland franchise over supporting Tim Anderson and other Chicago White Sox players.
  3. Yes, Sox fans are numerous and will support a winning team and an owner committed to fielding a good team. SportsVision and the threatened move to Tampa started the slide. Jerry doubled down with the 1994 Jerry driven owner World Series cancellation during the Sox' best chance in decades, followed by the White Flag debacle. All of this destroyed a large portion of fan goodwill, and all these incidents were self-inflected wounds. The team bounced back after the World Series, but has never recovered long term. New ownership willing to embrace of the community at large and repair the relationship with core Sox fans driven away by Jerry can restore parity in our area given enough time and effort. White Sox Attendance 1900 - 1979: Cubs 65,230,018 vs. White Sox 60,763,825. Difference of 4,466,193 (55,827 annual difference) White Sox Attendance 1980 - 2022: Cubs 105,015,114 vs. White Sox 77,832,373. Difference of 27,182,741 (647,208 annual difference) White Sox Winning Decades: 1900s (+409,347) 1910s (+1,547,181); 1950s (+2,594,526); 1960s (+2,033,725) Source: Baseball Reference, 2020 excluded in terms of annual difference calculation (42 year denominator).
  4. Another player two letters short of class. Celebrating is one thing, taunting a being a bag like Josh Naylor or Joe Kelly the other day brings bad karma and usually comes back to haunt the player and team. Didn't advance in the Division series, hope the Dodgers flame out this postseason as well.
  5. Have they treated a single injured player correctly the past few seasons? I can’t think of a single one among the team’s top players.
  6. It’s sad that memories of Floyd Bannister are sullied by your user name. I can’t recall a single positive post of yours.
  7. The Cleveland franchise has disrespected the game and mankind for nearly all of its existence, far more than this nonsense spewed by Jose and Tito. They also disrespected the White Sox a few months ago, which nobody should forget or take sides over the White Sox and their players. f*** the White Sox - Jose, Tito and the rest of these losers said it, and continue to be assholes through Jose wagging his finger in Tim’s face.
  8. NBA economics are not the same. Revenue streams are largely driven by national television contracts. Home schedules and stadium capacity are less than fourth net of what MLB teams seek (NBA stadiums host half the games and have on average half the capacity). Also player payrolls are very similar across the league, another reason Jerry wants his family to keep the Bulls and sell the Sox. An NBA move to Oklahoma would work, whereas an MLB move to Oklahoma would not. Oakland’s threatened move to Vegas (or Jerry’s to Tampa) - will get less revenue long term in Vegas than if they accepted the reasonable deals offered in the Oakland area. Many of these owners have a short term mentality, looking to cash out while there are still billionaires looking to join the club, and sad politicians looking to sell out their constituents. Jerry and Eddie are responsible for a decline in Sox fan interest due to several schemes they cooked up in the 1980s and 1990s. The Sox actually had a slight attendance advatage during the first eight decades, with the depression era and the late 1960s - early 1970s the two primary exceptions within that span. Billionaires obviously see Chicago as a place worth investing based on this deal and the large hotel complex noted in the article.
  9. Keuchel gave up 10 baserunners in 5 innings, but managed giving up only one run before departing after 5 innings. I hope Arizona hangs on to win. Quintana took the loss, but pitched well giving up 2 runs over six innings while the Mets were shutout 2-0. Bassitt and Toronto won in a laugher 13-1, with Bassitt going 7 strong innings at Fenway Park. Go San Diego!
  10. Season Series Wins Atlanta 2-1 Cincinnati 2-1 Cleveland 8-5 Season Series Leads Boston 2-1 (Away September 22-24) Detroit 4-3 (Home September 1-3; Away September 8-10) Kansas City 4-3 (Away September 4-6; Home September 11-13) New York Yankees 2-1 (Home August 7-9) Additional Season Series Win Possibilities Arizona 0-0 (Home September 25-27) Baltimore 1-2 (Away August 28-30) Colorado 0-0 (Away August 18-20) Minnesota 3-6 (Home September 14-17) Oakland 1-2 (Home August 24-27) San Diego 0-0 (Home September 29 - October 1) Seattle 1-2 (Home August 21-23) Washington 0-0 (Away September 18-20) Season Tie Possibility Chicago 0-2 (Away August 15-16)
  11. He's undercut by Jerry between the orders not to draft 16 year olds and the perennial trading of International Draft Slots. Paddy signed Robert Jr. and Abreu, who combined have earned more White Sox Win Shares than the rest of the current organization combined. 2023 Luis Robert Jr. 4.4 vs. All Other White Sox Position Players including Burger 0.4. White Sox Career Abreu (27.6 - 12th All Time) and Robert Jr. (11.0 62nd All Time - Definite shot at Top 10 if Jerry and Hahn don't get rid of him). If a Sox fan is listening or watching, I can't see a person actively rooting against the team. It's more of a defensive posture to take solace in losing and perhaps hope a terrible year end record could possibly lead to a significant organization overhaul, though that likely won't happen until there is a new owner. The Sox are likely better off not getting a top pick in 2024, but rather in 2025 due to both the prospect class and the better possibility Jerry and or Hahn will be gone further out.
  12. They say you gotta stay hungry, hey baby, I'm just about starvin' tonight.
  13. Hahn "Muti Championship Window" Acquistion Edition: Parrot, Cesar Hernandez; Clevinger.
  14. Thank you @oldsoxfor setting the White Sox on their winning ways and leading the game threads to a series win, and hopefully beyond as the Sox play spoilers to the hated New York Yankees tomorrow.
  15. Sure Anderson doesn't feel good getting punched yesterday, but this pathetic piece of s%*# was the manager who lost to the Chicago Cubs in the World Series, the most embarrassing event ever in sports. Breakfast with the Beatles and Tito is eating crow.
  16. Revenge is always sweet. 1948 bitches.
  17. Manager Pedro Grifol continues own Tito. Very nice to see. Congratulations to Sammy Peralta for his first Major League Win, and Jimmy Lambert on his first Major League Save! Congratulations Pedro and Chicago White Sox for completely owning this team and hurting them from beyond once the suspensions kick in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZzgAjjuqZM
  18. Beat this scum, start their lake on fire again, and get the f*** out of there
  19. f*** this green haired piece of s%*#.
  20. Nah, I hate several teams more than the Cubs. My ancestors were all still in various countries overseas when they last played important games in 1906. Yankees, Boston, Minnesota, Cleveland, Detroit, Baltimore, Oakland, Kansas City, the Dodgers. I hate them far more. For folks with obnoxious Cubs fans in your life, just ignore / don’t engage when they talk s%*# or ghost them.
  21. I hope Lynn and Keuchel and their teams get pummeled. Don’t want the Yankees or Toronto in the playoffs, but hope the other three do well.
  22. I’m glad they kept both, with the chance of Hahn being gone in October, and or with the chance of trading Cease this off-season or next July. I trust another person making a decision on Cease and the direction of the team more than Hahn. There was no rush to give him away, and there were reports they didn’t get a solid offer for Cease. Seemed like there were few buyers through the weekend, with little given up for Flaherty or Lorenzen, Mets ate a bulk of the money for Scherzer (not sure for Verlander). The Sox seemed to maximize value, especially for Lynn and Kelly, and I think most consider Hahn did a good job at the one area he is known for (selling off players). Robert should not be traded, period. He should be a franchise player, and will hopefully will be here when the Sox can contend in 2026 or 2027.
  23. “f*** Jose Ramirez. f*** Tito. f*** that Green Hair Guy. f*** Mike Sarbaugh. f*** Jim Harbaugh. f*** Bob Feller. f*** Pronk. f*** Larry Dolan and his entire extended family. f*** Drew Carey. f*** Tom Hanks.” - South Side Hit Men 8/5/23
