Chick Mercedes

Caleb Bonemer is only getting better in AA. I don’t know if the future isn’t Bonemer and Cholowski on the left side. It sounds pretty good in theory.

No dang college kid is gonna move Monty off shortstop!!!!!!!!

I’m as big a critic of the way this team operates as anyone. But I believe that the Sox are going to spend some money on this team if the talent arrives, endures. But they’re ahead of their schedule right now. It is what it is.

Any game without a 16 inch Clincher that is played with a glove is not softball, and can go get stuffed

sure would not want to upset the poor douchbag

I guess, but he didn’t try extra hard just for Peralta.

Another thing Getz should get credit for is the culture. Winning helps, and its a feedback circle, but this kind of thing isn’t by accident. And he gets that investment in MiLB system for the long term is the way do go. Like winning organizations focus on executing. And most of all, he doesn’t sell low. These things sound obvious to do, but we all know what the White Sox have been. The weirdest team in the game. No more, I hope. Jerry still meddles, but Getz overcomes him.

can't have enough insider drama. Getz didn't make noise like that fwiw just now. Doubt the Sox would outbid the Cubs for a starter. Sox going to want to bring up a few guys I think next month, hope for the best.

Roch, Bonemer, Mune and Ant the infield. Colson traded for a CF

Pitching sounds done.. I wonder if Thorpe is in play

This quote sounds like catcher still on radar, not pitching

Is Boston Smith a poor man’s Prosek, or a real Prosek?

If Castillo production is on Robert's level, he'll be in the same boat. But I don't think Robert impacted other moves. Losing most certainly impacted other moves

What’s our payroll? It’s been barely above minimum wage until Mune

There are lots of permutations and combinations opportunity costs for the overzealous nepo chase

Nothing special just a Wrangler Rubicon X! 😂🤪

Heck, if there is no baseball, (do the minor leagues stop too?), at least for 2028 the MiLB prospects may have more value built up by then to get better deals in trade compensation

I think it would be like spending out of your 401k before you’re 59 1/2 to buy a new Jeep. You’re screwing your long term upside out of extreme thirst for one moment of weakness. And yes, I am talking about myself again.

I never understood why the fact that there might not be baseball in ‘27, that increases the desperation in 2026. It’s not like baseball will be gone forever

To grab onto a healthy 33 YO MLB pitcher that has a pretty good record, aside from having a bad year right now, you might’ve overpaid because of his contract. But if the Sox were gonna overpay , at least they didn’t damage the system they’ve started to build. I was worried, there were all these people lining up to put everything on the line for 2026. This is a relief.

Kushner and Whitkoff are still not done lighting the world on fire
