Start spending money in free agency instead of constantly dumping the young talent in the system for other teams to benefit. Insee we are hanging onto when the imaging was done. But homework entails imaging and physicals before he was aquired. This does not answer if he was damaged goods or not until this is clear. Did the Sox get a clean bill of health?

The Castillo case is incredible for Getz. At the very least, he could have done better homework. Hell sometimes he doesn’t know the handedness of his acquisitions. At most, he could have chased harder after after guys like Peralta.

I have defended Getz as much as a few people, but that would be unfathomable.

I agree in a general sense every time this comes up, but we can’t compare the pressures and temptations and opportunities of a professional athlete to the mundane lives we lead comparatively. It’s much tougher to maintain a marital and moral standard with exponentially more temptation and opportunities. They’re no better or worse than we were created. Just lead different lives

A limited point I think. Yes, they cratered during the Cleveland series. But it’s only 1 series. They took it to 5 games without starting pitchers. They’re young, gonna make changes and improve the talent. The “ approach” can be tweaked with better talent.
