  1. "They're the better team in Chicago, and we didn't think we'd be saying that at the beginning of the year." understatement of the year
  2. IDK. Using the factor into a calculus that includes how long it takes to bring up a prospect doesn’t even enter my own calculus. Strict talent evaluation only for the 1-1. It gets murkier as the draft goes along. But at the very top, take the talent without compromising.
  3. If it means the Sox get their dream pick in the second round, yuge. Imagine the decision.
  4. -I’m uneasy with that concept of comfort level determining the #1 over all. -We don’t have knowledge of what’s going on with the Sox diving in to educate themselves on Lackey and his camp. How comfortable are they with Lackey? He seems pretty solid.
  5. I get the infactuation with Roch. But not the idea of carving his name at #1 into granite while there are clearly legitimate emerging alternatives
  6. Lackey has that A plus personality and leadership gene as well. Roch had the inside track from last season and the the familiar connection already established. But business is business for big time organizations
  7. Slowly backing away Once human beings inculcate a good idea their worldview, it takes a while to warm up to an alternative view. But anyway, Lackey as a prospect went on an upward trajectory. Cholowsky plateaus in the Big 10. Momentum is real sometimes. Either way it’s nice
  8. Man, you wonder if he pans out, but his trajectory has tracked as a player type who can. A young OUTFIELDER from the minors for the White Sox! Not sure this is allowed.
  9. Bad team gets good overnight . Always a show stopper. And, every good White Sox team has that in common lol. Add to it being the redheaded stepchilds of Chicago baseball, that’s even more
  10. If it’s a tie, don’t you think the Sox have more going on at SS/infield than they do at catcher? Teel is a nice idea, but so far he’s just that, an unreliable concept. Lackey shores up the catcher position. Bonemer and Carleson the infield.
  11. THIS Edit: As I look again, It almost looks off the top of the wall. But it also looks like it landed on something very reactive in the pen that launched it into the stands
  12. The White Sox have more personality than most teams out there. It helps
  13. Will they erect Jerry Reinsdorf’s wallet?
  14. Montgomery 2 looks like he lives in the weight room. Leg day is most days
  15. Getz is perilously close to getting a statue erected
  16. I wonder what the success rate is for players that homer in their first game
  17. All this bunt talk has me wondering who the heck invented that term
  18. Say that real fast six times
  19. It’s pretty safe to say the Sox should go shopping at the mall store for catchers and outfielders before infielders
