  1. Unless Chris Getz is a sleeper genius, This moment seem precarious. Not that I object to blowing it up. The organization needs a complete overhaul. But dealing with the sharks of the League is scary. Tak care Chris.
  2. Ah OK. Never mind previous comment. Catching up on the goings on. If there's no money savings, I guess 5 players is better than 1.
  3. That sounds about the idea
  4. It may be a wise move for the Sox to stay away from Dombrowski.
  5. I’m not a fan. But I am still irritated by this.
  6. If he's coaching the same dudes, yeah.
  7. His boss seems to be LaRussa too. I don't know what's going on.
  8. after being thoroughly unimpressed with the Getx signing, he does this. Something Kenny and Rick would have not done. So, there's that.
  9. The Bears pulled the same crap with Ryan Pace, who was allowed to keep digging the hole unabated. These franchises, maaan. Nobody can see the speeding trains coming to avoid further wreckage. Not sure the ultimate people calling the shots care enough to look up from their poofy brunches and dinners cares until their body men poke them on the shoulder to tell them the frothing media has surrounded the compound.
  10. Jake Burger smdh. Pretty dumb to let GMs about to be fired make baseball moves.
  11. Sure, the Sox can still use all the bad press that is possibly available to them.
  12. Aside from a popup winner in 2005, the pathetic record of this team for countless decades (well, they were actually counted) speaks for itself that there is no direction they choose likkely to work. It is an incompetant organization, historically so. Perhaps the unwillingness to invest in a productive farm team prevents them from being successful despite themselves. But until they finally decided to build a sustainable model for the farm system to flourish, all this talk about which direction to choose is empty gumflapping.
  13. Jerry needs every bit of embarrassment possible. Problem is he is shameless.
  14. NO! I want that .03 percentage increase in #1 pick chances You and your son….kick rocks
  15. On WSCR they were making fun of Pedro/Sox for apparently being literally the only team that wants him. Because they must be so much smarter. Last comment mine.
  16. Way too much risk to keep him. If you’re Getz, you want to put your money on consistency. When a player shows you who he is, believe him. I’m afraid the Sox are in too much of a short term mindset right now.
  17. Getz: We have enough talent. Just the wrong talent. We’re gonna just swap out our guys for the right guys that other teams will certainly give us. Should work.
  18. No way in hell the way Moncada and Kpoech have turned out we didn't get slaughtered. You don't trade a guy like Sale without receiving major young talent that pans out. In fact by Jerry's own criteria: "You have to have four prospects who can’t possibly miss to get one," White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf told CSN. "I’ve seen so many players over the years who were going to be phenoms, they were going to be future Hall of Famers, and we don’t even remember what their names are anymore. That’s why when you’re trading a player of stature you’ve got to get multiple can’t-miss prospects back. That’s why it makes it tough to trade a player of great stature."
  19. They can’t go on short staffing the player acquisitions/development areas. If we don’t hear anything about change right there, then why would we ever invest our time and money with this franchise ever again.
  20. Those Red Sox. Boyyy they done got us good
  21. All bets are off. It’s difficult to root for any specific outcome or direction, because everything seems to have a bad outcome attached.
  22. If it means he gets hot down the stretch enough for another team to be interesting in rolling the dice on a trade for him, that would be fortunate.
  23. That, and getting paid before you accomplish anything. There are tons of specimen types without that elite drive that will probably stop playing and preparing hungry.
  24. the Marlins should jump at the chance to trade Burger for Moncada. By the logic that was argued this season on Soxtalk.
