  1. Just the latest attempt to cheat the true scouting process with another shortcut.
  2. He chose a direction. Save money. Magic eight ball says: Check back later.
  3. It feels wrong. It feels dirty. IDK. But I support intelligent moves over sentiment for sure. I wonder if we are getting ready for life without Cease
  4. Cronin and Shaw. And some people claim there can be no tank. Oh, there's a tank.
  5. in the minors we have the next Randy Johnson. The next Corey Seager. The next Aaron Judge. The next Tony Pena. It’s going very very well, super high rated.
  6. Well if you’re gonna be the organization that collects first baseman catchers and DHs, may as well try that approach
  7. Hence, the difference. Not that the Sox have a better chance of making good decisions after any firings. But you gotta crawl before you can walk.
  8. stick with Burger! BURGER FOREVER! (Or at least until such time as there becomes a better plan)
  9. Honestly I always say never trade low on a young ish guy. But I have lost faith he will ever have more than one season of health in him at a time. Which is against the odds as well. I say it’s worth doing to trade him now if there is some reasonable return out there.
  10. Well from what In reading, the Cubs pick was more of a Happ type. At this point I prefer a more focused SS prospect. Although one can argue that a utility player is important in the Sox situational uncertainty condition.
  11. An important detail as the final score, given the context of how the team has played the entire year
  12. It may be time for a stupid and futile gesture.
  13. They don’t have to say it’s over. They also don’t have to indicate a self-delusion. Just talk about competing etc. Blah blah blah blah blah.
  14. Well, Matt Thornton. Who wasn’t a disaster before he got here. Just that the Sox shined him up and he became a gem. They have tried to do this countless times, I don’t know if they thought they had the Midas touch. They don’t, and it hasn’t occurred to them they don’t.
  15. The Sox once upon a time like 18 years ago signed a lefty reliever with a great arm, but couldn’t get anyone out. They transformed him into a good player, so ever since then they decided to become the patron saint of guys that can throw a brick through a battleship, but can’t hit the catcher’s mitt.
  16. Maybe not a massive upside, the Alexei Ramirez feeling. Which is fine. Although this kid has a little more power potential depending on what you read.
