  1. That team won because of the DC’s defense, and Jim Fink’s drafting. Ditka was a good coach, but the White Sox are definitely not getting the top candidates out there who are hot names. Not with this situation (if true)
  2. There is nobody worth hiring that would take a job where Jerry Reinsdorf is dictating manager hires. Especially after TLR fiasco. If there is any teuth to Pedro being safe, there is ZERO chance to make a good hire.
  3. Jerry Reinsdorf looking internally for candidates from his own loser organization. My God who does that.
  4. safe to say that her husband wanted a deserved opportunity that wasn’t forthcoming
  5. There was no reason to leak that he was safe either. Unless he was completely safe for real. They could have let speculation run rampant if change was coming. No harm in that.
  6. Who can possibly be making decisions on next year’s manager already? Gaaaaaa!
  7. Unfucking believable. Why did Reinsdorf fire anyone if he was gonna stay with his dumbass formula?
  8. Herb Lawrence: ‘The Sox had to become the laughingstock of baseball to get some needed change.’ Pollyannas gotta learn, sometimes losing is good.
  9. Gotta believe watching what George McCaskey has done has been an inspiration. Then again…..nah
  10. Easy tiger. I’m still here.
  11. Can the White Sox go to Arlington Heights?
  12. I think he’s had poor performances against a lot of different quality offenses in Chicago, which didn’t go so well, but that requires breakdown analysis of which would be way more painstaking than I am able to tolerate. If one is to say he’s not better, and better utilized in LA, or is the same, that’s certainly interesting as well. But that isn’t my take. Something is different over there. If it’s just him, that would be disappointing.
  13. More impactful for ticket buyers to do it from the parking lot instead of the seats.
  14. Interesting to see… while we all knew (most did) that there was something wrong in Chicago, what “it” amounts to in stats .
  15. Well if this is an indicator that they are gonna continue to go with an approach of throwing a bunch of bodies and question marks at right field, it’s a bad strategy. I’m hoping they have a more serious plan in mind.
  16. Uncle Ted Nugent?
  17. The Sox being the Sox, they will Sox the next hire anyway. Ozzie might be the best case scenario
  18. There’s still time
  19. first I think it's important to note that for the past month you've heard fairly directly from both Pedro and me and others, that we realize we have, we had a bit of a culture problem in this clubhouse. That we didn't have a group that was pulling in the same direction, that was necessarily supporting each other or going about their business the way we wanted this team to go about it. It was something we were upfront about for the last several weeks, something we feel we've been in the process of addressing, both at the trade deadline as well as since. and it's something we expect we will continue to improve over the coming weeks. As I mentioned at the deadline, it was something that was a priority. umm, wut
  20. So he thinks he addressed some attitude problems at the trade deadline? WtF is he talking about?
  21. Yeah, but 2016 felt like they were going in a specific direction, with a pro-active plan. This is all reactive, and salary dumping. They could have done much more, but somehow use 2024 contending dreams as an excuse.
