  1. Only three NFL franchises have ever played a game without Betty White on this earth.
  2. The gap between Georgia, Bama, and to a lesser extent Ohio State and Clemson, and the rest of college football in recruiting of 5* players is obscene.
  3. My very first gaming console/game was Madden 13 on the PS3
  4. What I expect to see out of the offense is a top 5 offensive line. Once you have that, you have flexibility in basing your offensive scheme around the strengths of your skill players as opposed to basing it on how long you have until your quarterback is getting hit. If you continue to let the offensive line be shit, then it doesn't matter what scheme you run.
  5. When you're already eliminated from the playoffs it should be going for two 100% of the time. Absolutely no point in playing overtime and incurring added injury risk.
  6. He did give up one sack, but overall he was good. If this team can get a couple really good OL and one good WR, they can have a Top 10 offense next year. Montgomery is a really tough running back. Definitely want to keep him around.
  7. Give me the Colts OL (the starters, not the guys that played last night) and J Taylor and I can make just about any QB look good.
  8. This is why the players have to be able to go so far as the owners making zero money before they will get any concessions out of them. If they players aren't willing to sacrifice an entire season for long-term gains, then they might as well cave now and have a full season in 2022.
  9. Well, the Bears aren't the only ones suffering from awful officiating. Seahawks got totally screwed last night. There are far too many games with outcomes decided by officiating. Something needs to change. I never did a lot of sports betting to begin with but my football bets are zero now. Don't trust the outcomes.
  10. From 2005-2016, there were 3 Stanley Cup wins, 2 World Series wins, and one Super Bowl appearance. Not too bad.
  11. I see the "Fire Nagy" crowd not as being ignorant of the failings of Pace/Phillips so much as not having faith in the McCaskeys that we will get anything more than the firing of Nagy.
  12. I'm not saying the Bears deserved at all to win, but it's really frustrating to see both of Minnesota's TD drives extended by bullshit personal foul calls. When the announcing crew and referee analyst, who are paid by networks who do huge business with the league, all agree the call is bad, that's really bad.
  13. Jet sweep is such an effective play around the 6-8 yard line and it doesn't get called once in 4 downs.
  14. He does, but the playcalling is so poor that it's hard to fairly evaluate him.
  15. There is absolutely no excuse for Nagy still being the coach 24 hours for now.
  16. How to determine a "fair" player salary: start with the entire 30-team salary pool, determined as a percentage of league revenue (let's just say 50% for example) and then an individual's salary is determined by his WAR compared to the collective WAR of the league. There would have to be some adjustment, because 0 WAR players can't have zero salaries and negative WAR players can't have negative salaries, but that's the basic concept.
  17. There's a prep school near me that consists solely of the basketball team. There are no students other than the team.
  18. Against Rodgers you have to go for 2. Can't give him the ball in overtime.
  19. I've got to stop watching Packers games because I get so angry at all the bullshit calls in Aaron Rodgers' favor. 3rd and 10 and he gets a phantom PI call. Following play an obvious offensive PI gets ignored on a TD pass. This kind of shit is why I won't bet on football games. Officials influence the outcome too often.
  20. Winning 17% of his games against his biggest rival? He'd fit right in with previous Bears coaches.
  21. Is Austin going to pay Louisville to buy the the name Bats?
  22. If Milwaukee didn't already have a team before the TV money exploded, the Chicago teams would never let them get one.
  23. That would be more than a little loss of TV eyes.
