  1. I'm a little bit surprised that we've not heard anything yet about Leury. I thought he would have been a quick sign.
  2. Day is an offensive coach. He had a year each with the Eagles and Niners as QB coach. I think he'd be a great get, but I'm not sure why he'd want to leave Ohio State for a job where it's 50/50 whether or not you get fired within 4 years. If you can pry McDaniels out of New England, he'd be my #1 choice.
  3. Yes, it's what our opening day roster would look like if no more moves got made.
  4. Out of the projected opening day roster, not out of the organization.
  5. News: Graveman signed Out: Foster In: Graveman SP: Keuchel $18.0, Lynn $18.5, Giolito $7.9, Cease $0.9, Kopech $0.7 RP: Kimbrel $16.0, Lopez $2.8, Hendriks $13.0, Bummer $2.5, Ruiz $0.7, Graveman $8.0(est), Burr $0.7, Crochet $0.7 C : Grandal $18.25, Collins $0.7 IF: Gonzalez $0.7, Abreu $14.0, Anderson $9.5, Moncada $14.0, Mendick $0.7, Sheets $0.6 OF: Rutherford $0.6, Engel $2.2, Jimenez $6.5, Robert $6.0, Vaughn $0.6 Total: $165.38m
  6. A little tidbit to brighten your day amongst this gloom - Since Aaron Rodgers can only beat the Bears and not anybody else in the NFC Championship Game, the Packers are now effectively eliminated from Super Bowl contention.
  7. I would not trade either one just for the sake of trading them, but as I've noted before, the current roster has a major redundancy in the right-handed DH category with Abreu/Vaughn/Eloy. There has to be some serious exploration as to whether Vaughn or Eloy can be part of a package that bring back a big time 2B, OF, or SP.
  8. The lineup would be a lot better with Anderson batting 6th.
  9. My ballot: Rodriguez, Schilling, Rolen, Jones, Abreu, Kent, Helton, Buehrle, Rollins, Hudson
  10. Romy won't end up in Oakland because Oakland doesn't massively overvalue him like Soxtalk does.
  11. Yeah I'd say Nantz/Romo are the gold standard for NFL announcing. Not sure how they ended up on a Bears/Ravens game but it was nice to have them.
  12. Nantz/Romo were trying to talk over it but you could still hear it.
  13. Choosing 3rd and 12 over 4th and 2 with that amount of time left is 100% the right call. It's just that the defense is awful. Only 5 quality players on that side of the ball and 3 of them are injured. Firing Nagy won't help if Pace is allowed to pick his successor and be in charge for another offseason.
  14. Left side of the line got the yard Montgomery needed but he cut it back trying to get 10.
  15. Is this what I have to look forward to when I get older? Complaining about the layout of drug stores.
  16. That wasn't really the point though. I've heard of Magic Johnson, and the Miracle on Ice, of course OJ, and other things that came before that. It was more noting that Seles probably doesn't rise to the level of other things mentioned because I've heard of them and not of her.
  17. I'd literally never heard of Monica Seles until you posted this.
  18. B is best C is good No thanks to having Dallas as the 5th starter.
  19. See, that's why I never tell my live-in chef my secrets.
  20. I'd love to organize a poker game with the Sox FO. I could retire before I hit 20.
  21. Richer, sure, but much less competitive. Colorado and Nebraska left the Big 12 for more money and have pretty much never been heard from again.
  22. Oklahoma and Texas are going to become afterthoughts in the SEC.
  23. Know who else beat Mexico? Canada. Yes, Canada. Canada is now in first place. US is second, one point clear of Mexico and Panama.
