Time to Sacrifice Dallas
Might as well rid ourselves of Florida while we're at it.

5/3 Games
Announcer said he hit a 3 run homer but they're down 5-2. Worst 3 run homer ever.

Crosstown Series Game One--6:40 CT
Five games against the two teams that most helped build our current roster. Would have been a little bit more fun if we got Kopech at Boston and Cease on the north side, but we'll have to settle for the opposite.

Robinson Cano
Harrison has been hitting better the last couple weeks. Want to see a larger sample size from him before considering other options. If nothing else he's very good defensively.
-
Robinson Cano
If he clears waivers, which at that salary is 100% going to happen, he can sign with any team he wants. That team pays only the veteran minimum and the Mets pay the rest.

War in Ukraine
What I think happens soon is Russia gains 100% control of some chunk of Eastern Ukraine, declares victory because that was what they really wanted the whole time. Then there are two questions: 1) Does Ukraine continue fighting once Russia stops offensives and goes into a defensive posture? 2) Will the US and allies keep the sanctions on Russia long term or wimp out.

Time to Sacrifice Dallas
Lopez 2 innings, Ruiz 2 innings, Banks 2 innings. Better than sending Keuchel out there at this point.

Time to Sacrifice Dallas
I agree VV has a chance to keep his spot. I was just pointing out the logjam we're about to have. Can you imagine if Tanner Banks, finally in the majors after 700+ minor league innings, gets sent back down with a sub 2 ERA so they can keep Dallas Keuchel and his 9+ ERA?

Time to Sacrifice Dallas
One thing to remember is that at the end of May, the 13 pitcher limit resumes. If everybody is healthy at that point (I know that's unlikely) and Cueto is up, you have exactly 13 pitchers with no options (or obviously not getting optioned): Cease, Giolito, Kopech, Lynn, Cueto Hendriks, Graveman, Bummer, Kelly, Lopez, Ruiz, Velasquez, Keuchel So, keeping Keuchel means optioning Banks (1.29 ERA in 14 IP), Foster (0.90 ERA in 10 IP) and Burr. Now, maybe Banks and Foster regress by then so you don't mind optioning them, but if those guys continue to be very good, can you really justify sending them both to Charlotte and keeping Keuchel?

5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
Yes, but we've been getting McGuire at C, Grandal at DH, Sheets in RF and then you either have Vaughn in LF or on the bench and both of those are bad. So you just can't afford to keep Sheets playing in the OF. Of course, Tony may end up using Burger at 2B so maybe there's no good choice.

Not allowed to run hard to 1st though.

5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
If we had a manager who would only use Sheets at 1B/DH, I might agree, but we've seen him in RF far too much and that liability outweighs any offense he provides from the left side.

Still no hits with RISP.

5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
Burger at least can play 3B when Moncada needs a day off, thus avoiding Leury playing there. Plus, sending Sheets down avoids Tony sticking him in LF where he doesn't belong.

5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
I know he gave up a hit, but this is Rodon no-hitter level pitching.
-
5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
I imagine he'd be really good against other teams since the Sox have hoarded all the RH hitters.

5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
Nice to get two runs but still literally can't get a hit with RISP.
-
5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
Yeah, but then your only bench guys are a C and a DH and I'd rather have Leury available to come in if someone needs to exit early.

How bad a day are you having if you walk consecutive Sox batters?
-
5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
With Mendick sent down and Vaughn unavailable the only other options are Leury and McGuire so that's why.

If Dylan ever figures out how to pitch as well in innings 5-6 as he does in 1-4, he'll be a CY threat for sure.
