  1. How come Elvis can't hit? Sub .200 is abysmal. I'd prefer they DFA him. By the way his approach as a hitter stinks. He's not compensating for age. Slow bat. Whiff.
  2. Nice HR by Sheets. The hope is the Sox "youngish" hitters learn to hit more of those.
  3. Let's face it. Sorry to be a broken record but Sox can't hit on the road. Did Andrus take responsibility for last night's gaffe or did nobody address it publicly. p.s. if ballgames were five innings Sox might win it all though. Sox have gotten good pitching thru 95 pitches or so lately. We gonna win tonight? I have no feel cept the bats appear dead.
  4. I was totally disgusted by our hitters after they scored the fourth run on. Absolutely nobody cared to win the game unless they happened to connect for a HR. Even in this modern age you'd think somebody would care so much about winning they'd agree to hitting a single once in a while. Singles are extinct. After tonight they should cut bait with Pedro. It's time. Seems like a nice guy, let him go to AAA or AA and do something.
  5. Not if his name was Bo Jackson.
  6. Lead 4-0; lose 5-4. Comments: Poor Cease. Poor hitting coach. Ridiculous failure after failure after Sox got their fourth run. Conclusion: Sox coaches/front office afraid to actually coach their hitters, convince them that "at times" the TEAM needs situational baseball. Not swinging for the fences on cutters out of the zone. Pathetic. Bullpen was OK but Crochet had no chance. I look for him on the DL soon. Tonight's game: F for failure. 4-0 lead and total crap after that.
  7. He'll be on the DL tomorrow; you wait.
  8. I turned it on when we were winning 4-0. Clearly bad luck and a waste of my night.
  9. Betts is kinda a disgrace. Pulling it way too far left. Yet he checks the swing and draws the walk. Odds have to be 99 percent rite now for Dodger win. Or 99.5.
  10. Fathom also could hit a flyball off No. 45. What a lousy reliever IMO.
  11. Time to appeal the L if we lose.
  12. That first pitch to Betts was meatball IMO. Then he buries another one. Good stop
  13. Just cause the Sox were recently only 4.5 out. or 4 out. I want postseason/pennants. But I understand the question.
  14. Dat was no fun.
  15. Just when I start to love this team they reek.
  16. Well Sox officially deserve to lose at this point. Let's see if Dodgers want to take it or are equally inept.
  17. Runner to third. Mabe a miracle bloop or wild pitch.
  18. Surprised Burger got fooled on the 2-1 meatball. Bad at bat. I'm thinking we're done. Sox can't get hits at this juncture.
  19. Nice job Bummer. Would be nice in this half inning to stroke a base hit rather than 3 hitters all K. Nowadays players can't even encourage each other to get a hit. That's blasphemy with the HR the only goal. Let's win.
  20. Nice grab Grandal.
  21. Fathom could hit a sac fly off Bummer IMO.
  22. Bunt to third. Sac fly. Bye bye.
  23. Eloy can't hit that pitch.
  24. Yep. It was too close to take. He missed a cookie early in the at bat.
  25. I'll always take a walk. No double plays here.
