  1. At least Sox have one guy who looks like a lock for 35-40 homers per annum if he doesn't get hurt. He'll hit 30 plus this season if no injuries.
  2. Sox don't seem to value the long ball. I like Andy Vaughn but don't expect a ton of HRs. Crushed doubles.
  3. I agree, still Pedro should be embarrassed at his group of injured losers.
  4. I hope somebody from the team reads this. It's possible.
  5. What's it like at the ballpark this year? Good food? Reasonable prices?
  6. Oh boy, the Sox stink. We lose again, 4-3. Poorly constructed ballclub with a rookie manager. Puke.
  7. Wow I didn't know Elvis was out 10 days. Just release him after he recovers or let him play in AAA; seems like a nice guy. I like the win in a snappy 2.5 hours. Too bad the team stinks but the win was great. Seemed like a lot of fans were there. We do have great fans. Let's realize that.
  8. Yeah, he'll hit 5 to 10 IMO.
  9. Beni is OK, nothing against him. But he's not a fave of mine and having him five years is scary, so I would definitely trade him. Maybe some team with $$ and a need of a decent hitter/fielder would take him off the Sox hands at some point. No offense to him. He seems OK but what's the point of having him?
  10. Too bad Bill Veeck isn't owner. He'd realize this team is an abdomination and would do something interesting to at least make it worth watching. That said ... of course Pedro should be fired. Season is over so let Ozzie finish out the year; if he says anything outrageous just send him back to TV and bring in Stoney or Beckham from TV. But Pedro should go. Of course he should. There's nothing to lose with letting Ozzie be interim. Like I said the season is over and let him do his thing minus the offensive statements.
  11. Good philosophy. One thing nobody besides me ever talks about is how much $$ it costs to go to a game if you are not a secondary market/hunt for dollar hot dog night type expert. Any article or talk show about attendance should discuss the reality of the situation: enjoyment vs. $$. Let's say I would have driven to KC for one or two of the four-game series vs. our Sox. If I met a friend there and paid 20 for parking, 35 for great seat, then the 20 dollar burger/fries/drink combo, then the one beer (10 bucks) and late game dog (9 bucks) it'd cost me about 100 bucks total. ... Yes probably half that after doing the secondary market thing. Still a lot of $. And those games? Our only win, 4-2, was so dull. Lost the other three. One other thing to levine: Who do the Sox have you would pay to see? Maybe 1 starting pitcher (but damn they don't matter; they go five innings and are done for the night with no effect on ultimately winning the game nowadays cause they can't go more than five). Everyday players? Maybe Robert is worth paying to see. Vaughn on the chance he'll time it right and bomb one out. Sox have 'maybe' two players you would pay to see. Talk about that in attendance discussions.
  12. I hate to stop watching but this is too brutal for human consumption. I just can't see how anybody can pay to attend these games. You could go to the various minor league games around Illinois. I'd almost puke forking over real money to watch tonight's thriller.
  13. That was an embarrassing outing by the Sox. Horrible hitting. Nothing to write home about pitching. I'd DFA Elvis. No hard feelings; he's just done. I'd trade Moncada. It's blatantly obvious he has no joy to his game. I'd keep Robert, Vaughn and Tim and dump everybody else including the entire pitching staff. OK I guess I'd keep Cease for now. This team blows. (My show of choice during the game Ted Lasso.
  14. Yes but now the ball is jumping out of the park(s) and it's not our guys hitting them out. Hahn must be so proud of this unit.
  15. My goodness. Glad our scouts have approved Lambert being on the roster. That was one meatball leading to a majestic HR. Embarrassing loss again. Three hits LOL and one pitch that Fathom could have hit out. Sox continue to be the worst team in many of our lifetimes.
  16. I don't think the Sox are gonna score again this game unless somebody lucks into lifting and pulling one over the wall.
  17. As expected this game turns into a blowout. There are so many bad baseball pitchers in MLB it's hard to believe.
  18. Nice at bat Elvis ... not.
  19. I didn't realize Robert had as many HRs and RBI as he has. Not half bad, tho RBI mean nothing nowadays I've been told. It's kind of weird watching a game knowing Sox aren't going to win. We're not beating houston with our pen tonight folks. Chalk up another L.
  20. I find it hard to believe our season hopes ended in April. That's just unacceptably absurd. Sox dug this hole and Southsiders aren't dumb. They won't go to the games this summer. The Sox should scrap their ticket price plan and return to 1960s prices as penance for the season that wasn't. I mean nobody's going to go to games this summer which can't bode well for next season crowds either. What I'm saying is Sox management should scrap the ticket plan and charge $1 for upper tank seats the rest of the year and $7 dollars for all premium seats with free parking. It's almost impossible to be out of the race after one month but that's what the Sox were. The team is worth what $1 billion? Take $500,000 and start the free ticket giveaway with that money. If anybody goes to a game the rest of the season it's just to smell the green grass of GRate Field and enjoy a big league ballpark. So pay the fans to come. Shame on you White Sox being out of the race after 4 weeks. My gawd.
  21. If Renteria will save the front office some money and accept a low salary, bring him back now and send Pedro away. Or make Pedro a scout or something. Sox injury situation isn't getting any better and I'd rather have RR 'trying' to win with this awful roster than Pedro.
  22. The bottom three hitters in Sox lineup reek. I know Haisley is over .300 though. Lopez should be released. Mabe Liam will save the bullpen changing the roles. LOL on losing 3 of 4 to KC. KC has a very very historically bad team. But they had a guy Mike Massey who wanted to beat the Sox and he did. Can't remember a Sox team this bad ever. Sox just gave the Royals their first home series win of the season. KC has a very very bad team IMO.
  23. Stoney should be fined if he EVER again says the boys do not quit.
  24. Easy to resort to hyperbole but cmon ... these guys never quit?? We should NEVER hear that from Bennetti/Stone again. These guys DO NOT CARE. Case closed. The Royals have a horrible baseball team. 9-1 is one large LOL. Folks this pitching rotation all things considered is one of the worst in Chicago White Sox history. Cmon. Don't rat me out for hyperbole, just agree. And our STARS? Robert needs coaching so badly. Just fricking drop him a slider and you get him to whiff. We've got two major league bats on the the team 'maybe' in Vaughn and Burger. And Burger is so bad a fielder his value is not important. More hyperbole? Hahn should resign or be fired tonight. Case closed. This team reeks, is going nowhere and it's his fault. And his choice of Pedro? Cmon. Laughingstock choice. At least over the hill Tony had the team .500 somehow. My post may seem outlandish but I don't think so. This Sox team blows and it's Mr. Hahn's fault.
  25. When you look at the Sox record and this performance against the Royals you say "why am I am fan?"
