Let's go Rays!
I can't root for the Rays either. Call me crazy but the young guns from the Dome I don't think are that good either. Remember they and the Twins had crazy winning percentages in their s***ass domes. Boston might as well win another one so they won't be as jacked for next year.

Good riddance OC
One of our problems was we didn't have a great leadoff hitter. Maybe we'd like him better if he batted lower. I won't miss him but I wouldn't tear my hair out if we signed him for one year. I can't imagine him getting some megabuck deal somewhere. But maybe teams are that crazy. Detroit wasn't crazy about Renteria either, right? I'm not a big OC fan that is for sure.

This ball season... is OVA!!!!!
I agree fully. I may eat my words, but I think Boston will bash their pitching around quite a bit in the division series. Glad to see the Sox never use excuses about injuries or anything. They pretty much gave it their all I feel. Lots of promise for the future. Obviously lot of work ahead for KW. Home runs are great but it's pretty apparent fans want to see a bit more balance. Should be interesting to see if all the veteran bombers are back or if they are traded and if they are traded what will we get for the slow footed guys who can still knock the ball over the fence on a fairly regular basis.

Tampa Rays @ Chicago White Sox 4:05 pm CT
I didn't read the game thread today, may look through it later to see how everybody felt about the game. I thought it was disappointing. Sounds dumb, I know, but I was hoping Boston would have wrapped it up last night and we played the marquee game at night with perhaps the Sox getting ultra psyched about the fact they could get home field vs. the Bosox in the next series. I was hoping we were the only show of the day and our guys would find a way again to win. Not blaming the 4 p.m. start; just thought we played flat. What's everybody's take on Gavin? Mad at Ozzie for the early hook? Or was it apparent he didn't have it. I thought he didn't really have it. I guess he could have let him try six, seven innings like he probably would have done had it been a regular season game, but he didn't look like he was fooling anybody. We got the bad Dotel today. Immediate double. Our fans seemed pretty darn good. Oh well ... I'm still not convinced the Rays' pitching is that good. If I had to bet my life savings, I'd bet Boston in five games max. No excuses, but we certainly missed CQ's explosive bat. I logged into chat in case anybody wants to talk baseball.

2008 White Sox 4-0 in Elimination Games
IT would be so cool to continue to man up and win another elimination game. Then who knows in Game Five? Cmon Sox, one more at home.

TCQ Not Giving Up On Postseason
I still think Boston is going to win that series, probably at home tonight.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX PLAYOFF WINNER!!!
Yes, but he should stay in the bigs if not a starter a key reserve for somebody. No doubt what he did today was special. He's actually having a good series on the whole. Glad to see Uribe stroke a nice hit today. If he could actually get hot, that would help.

Tampa Rays @ Chicago White Sox 4:05 pm CT
Would be nice to see the lefty veterans do some damage. We need Jimmy to crush 3 homers; Griffey two; AJ one. I can dream.

John Danks
He pitched awesome. Great stuff. What a young stud. Hope Floyd has a stellar game tomorrow. GO SOX.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX PLAYOFF WINNER!!!
That curve by Bobby was fricking amazing to whiff a good hitter. Wise can play big league baseball. He's earned a job with a team, if not us, somebody. He's as good a player as a lot of guys wearing big league uniforms the past several years. He is not a stiff. Nice job by AJ who never gets a day off. Good job, SOx. One more please. Let's take it to Tampa guys!!!

Tampa Bay @ Chicago ALDS Game 3- Matt Garza Vs. John Danks 3:07 CT
Great victory. How come people on here aren't more excited? You can win titles in ways other than blitzing through the competition like '05. Do you realize we are one win from getting it to Buehrle an d if we won in Tampa we'd have home field vs. Boston?? I rip the team as much as anybody but we have a chance! p.s. Sorry for doubting you D. Wise. You are playing fine baseball. And AJP, way to knock in that first run. Danks, wow. Relievers, good job.

POSITIVE ATTITUDE
I hate Jason Bartlett. I love the Sox. Let's get some runs and win 9-3.

Do you think white towels can bother outfielders? Or is it no big deal on fly balls?

4 players that went home AFTER getting to Tampa
You never know what makes a guy a turd. They've been the best players on their teams (except this one) their whole lives. So they can be egotistical even if they stink. Pretty impressive Jose stuck around. Makes me feel good about him. MacDougal was simply a horrific mistake.

Fixing the speed problem while remaining revenue neutral
It's funny we are discussing the future so much. I doubt we did this in 05. Too excited about what was going on in the present at that time. We actually could come back and win this series if the Sox play the kind of ball they've been playing at home most of the year.

Twins have "internal discussions" about Cabrera and Crede
No way he is 100 times the player Joe is. We could use a Joe Crede clutch hit the past few games/weeks. I do take back calling Uribe a dog. I am sick of him swinging so hard and not producing though.

I'm in the chat room for 10 minutes if anybody wants to chat baseball.

"Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Chicago Cubs NLDS"
It's hard to believe the Cubs and that lofty record went 0-3. My god. I don't care about the Cubs but I hope for the sake of Chicago pride we get it together vs. the Rays. USA Today's lead story on Friday was how great is Chicago baseball. 0-6 will be a national embarrassment. What do you do if you are a Cub fan now? They've pretty much assumed this was the year since they swept us in Wrigley way back in June. My god 0-3???? With that team? That starting rotation?? That manager?? My god. Call me dumb but I actually think we can win the next 2. I hope it's the case.

Are you still waiting for Magglio to be healthy as well? Uribe is a dog. Pure and simple. A clueless hitter who swings sooo hard and misses so often (or fouls the ball off). Please Sox finally say bye to Juan.

Tampa Bay @ Chicago ALDS Game 3- Matt Garza Vs. John Danks 3:07 CT
I tell you what, disliking Jermaine Dye? My god. I feel for you young soxtalk members. Sports has changed so much. In this day and age of message boards and intensified talk shows, it's just not as much fun anymore. Win it all baby or you are a piece of s***. I just don't understand how anybody could dislike Dye. My god. GO SOX!!

Does anyone think Guillen did a poor job managing?
I laughed when somebody posted before Game Two that this was the best lineup they'd seen in a while. That's only because Swisher and Anderson hadn't started in a while. It's like begging for the second team quarterback, the unknown. Yesterday's lineup was just as bad as any we've had lately in road games. Our lousiness on the road against good teams is depressing.

The blackout continues
Who did then? I seem to remember years ago in the dome the Twins fans waving the towels. I mean this was well back in the day.
-
Tampa Bay @ Chicago ALDS Game 3- Matt Garza Vs. John Danks 3:07 CT
I made a list of the players I disliked on the team and it wasn't even close to 50 percent. If you dislike 75 percent of the team, I believe you are a fool. Just my opinion though. If you hate 'em, you hate 'em. I mean dislike 'em.
-
Tampa Bay @ Chicago ALDS Game 3- Matt Garza Vs. John Danks 3:07 CT
Crowd needs to be into it and we need to hit many many home runs. I don't see how Danks can duplicate what he did the other night. I'm hoping we win 11-7.

OC and the antics
OC is not gonna be back. KW I'm sure will go with Lexi at ss. Hope we don't see Uribe at 2B or 3B.
