  1. Did the Sox hitters fall asleep because of the horrific crowd? Or was it the Rays' pitching? Or was i ineptitude of Thome, Konerko, Swish? Contreras is my new idol. Great season thus far.
  2. With our second baseman hitting pretty well, I'd bat Swish ninth. Why the hell are the Sox even thinking of letting Uribe back in the lineup? Ramirez is doing great, at least hitting wise. How's his defense been? No more Uribe!!
  3. I don't know if Nick Swisher is capable of not sucking at baseball. Man, he has been soo bad. At some point, don't the Sox need to Billy Butler-ize Swish??
  4. Thome, Konerko and Swisher ... oh my. Horrible seasons for the big three. So tough to waste a two-run outing by the pitching staff on the road. Man we can't muster a win out of that! Life sucks when the Sox lose.
  5. Are we sure he gets back to Chicago? Time to dump Juan. I don't care how much he's making.
  6. That would be sweet to miss Zambrano. If we both are in first place those will be huge games. Look for bench clearing brawl in first game if both teams are in first.
  7. There's no reason to ever play Uribe again. We're been doing well without him. Seriously does anybody in their right mind want to see Uribe bat for the White Sox again??
  8. Not me. Congrats, white sox. I also wouldn't have believed we've yet to play the Royals. Folks, if we dominate the Royals like they deserve to be dominated, we'll be in great shape in this division.
  9. I agree about Konerko and the 15 day DL. Why not? We won't be out of the race after the next 15 days, knock on wood. It sounds like that's not a good injury for a power hitter.
  10. I didn't follow the game. I'm thrilled we won! 17 hits??? But just six runs. The 17 hits is very nice. Something to build on definitely for our offense.
  11. C'mon Bobby; this would be a very sweet win!
  12. Thanx for the update. Swish is 0-for-4. My gawd. He should try to make an out; then it'd drop in. Has anybody ever had a worse start to a season that is a regular player in Sox history?
  13. Have just caught up with the game now. Let me guess. We have again failed to come up with the big hit many times. With 13 hits and just three runs, we musta had some frustrating at bats with men on base.
  14. This ain't Byrd's year. It's time to do something offensively. If Thome goes hitless tonight, it's time to deal him. A.J. needs to start stroking the ball to all fields. If he can't hit home runs, and it appears he can't anymore, he needn't try to pull everything.
  15. Quentin is amazing. You watch his home run and the replay of his home run and he makes it look easy. Watching Thome, Crede, AJP, Swisher and BA, you realize it's not easy. Three guys in our lineup got hits tonight and we won. Thanks to the pitching and the Amazing Quentin. I just can't believe how he attacks the ball and pops it over the fence and our proven sluggers continue to make weak outs. GO SOX!
  16. I hate to be a dick, but my god, even AJP is horses*** right now. What pathetic excuses for at bats. How the hell are we in first place???
  17. Do we have one good hitter on this team? And that's it? I'm starting to think so.
  18. Torii Hunter would look good on our team right now considering when Swish swings the air goes 'swish' at the plate.
  19. I didn't realize that. I was just looking at his current 1-for-16 and figured he was toast at No. 2.
  20. I was praying he'd actually try to make contact and drill a single like Konerko did during our WS season. But I must confess last night I also was fearing the easy DP.
  21. We are in first place. There's no way Oz and/or KW will fire him during the season. So we might as well quit moaning about Walker and wanting him canned. Like many said ... you think Thome, Konerko, Crede, Swisher, A.J., Dye are going to listen to a hitting coach, any hitting coach? I'd rather continue blasting the players when they suck than dredge up the fire Walker thread, because he's not going anywhere.
  22. Nice attempt by Ozzie, but it's time to reshuffle the order again. A.J. is not hitting. Who's the next guy to get his shot at the No. 2 slot?
  23. Fathom and others who went to that atrocious game.... Was it as obvious in the stadium as watching on TV that after the second inning it was guaranteed we were not going to score a run?? That was a sad, sad hitting effort again. We win eight in a row ... we better not lose tomorrow and be barrelling toward a significant losing streak after playing well. What a dysfunctional offense! Great pitching AGAIN by the Sox.
