Uh....no. I love Mark but he's not in Santana's league.' Uh yes, Mark Buehrle is in Santana's league.
  2. Add me to the list of people on here who also wishes Kenny would not be as negative regarding Mark B. Buehrle is a stud. He can say what he wants about the Cards as far as I am concerned.
  3. instead of 10-5 we really should be 14-1 maybe 13-2, I'm just sayin. Welcome to baseball. There are too many idiosyncracies about the game to say we "should be 14-1." 10-5 is probably what we should be. We deserved to lose 2 of 3 in KC that weekend. And Cleveland is a good team that flat out beat us 2 of 3. GO SOX!
  4. No need to jump off the bandwagon yet. As long as we're winning, he can play and try to learn from this. p.s. Did you see how frustrated he was after his final at bat?
  5. Even Best Buy puts limitations on earrings and hair length. Best Buy is a joke. Best Buy management should be ashamed of itself. This is stupid. JR should have mentioned it to Oz and Oz took care of it if the haircuts truly got too long. AJ was ready to get it cut anyhow it sounds like. Stupid.
  6. I don't know, but Iguchi's hitting has really sparked our team. He has been an incredible spark leading into Thome, Konerko, Crede, Dye, etc.
  7. Only Brian Anderson could strike out 3 times against the f***ing Royals. The Sox are 2-2 against the f***ing royals. That isn't domination. Cliff looked amazing. Is that the real Politte?
  8. The Royals do suck, but they have veterans like Sweeney, Grud, Graff and Sanders who are capable of beating us again as they did in KC. Play the regulars, Oz.
  9. I am not a big Widger fan. I do like Cintron, though.
  10. I have yet to see anyone get injured slip and sliding over a slip and slide or a tarp. --I agree it's b.s. to fine him. I hope they show it on ESPN over and over, but your post did remind me. I know a guy who actually is paralyzed because he head firsted on a slip and slide when he was a freshman in college. Amazing but true. He's a heck of a person too. He's made a great life for himself as an academic counselor at a college. It shows you can bust your body up.
  11. Hey, I made a mistake. That was not the AP; that was Dave van Dyck's account from the Trib. Sorry about that.
  12. Oops, I see Pods got two hits today. Nice.
  13. I thought he'd do great right off the bat. It wouldn't hurt for him to ask Thome what he did during that rehab stint or whatever it was that got Thome going at the end of spring training. I'm not giving up on Anderson. He looks like too good a prospect/physical specimin, but like somebody on here said, it's tough to watch him bat now. Mack is sucking just as badly, however. Mack needs to start hitting. And Pods.
  14. I agree WHarris. I never thought of that. It is a story, however, cause it's the AP story of the game. But it's no big deal as you say.
  15. This from the Associated Press: With the rain pelting down in the top of the fifth and the dirt of the U.S. Cellular Field infield a quagmire, Chicago White Sox second baseman Tadahito Iguchi fumbled an easy grounder that would have ended the inning. Sox starter Freddy Garcia raised his hands to reveal his displeasure, thus showing up a teammate. Garcia struck out the next batter to nail down a rain-shortened 6-4 victory over Toronto, but his gesture was a topic of conversation in the clubhouse afterward. “I was upset at Freddy,” manager Ozzie Guillen said. “I don’t want my players to embarrass (teammates). The way the game was and the field was, his reaction was a little bit out of control. I understand his frustration. I understand he wanted to get the inning over. But I don’t like my pitcher to show anybody up.” After the inning, Guillen negotiated a patching up between Garcia and Iguchi. Garcia took a 6-0 lead into the fifth. With the rain pouring down, he walked four batters, including two with the bases loaded. Iguchi’s error only prolonged the misery. “I was desperate,” Garcia said. “You don’t know how hard it was to be out there. I was trying to hurry up, trying my best to get out of the inning.” --Mariotti may blast Freddy over this, but I can't see it being a big deal. It was raining like mad out there and like Garcia says "you don’t know how hard it was to be out there. I was trying to hurry up, trying my best to get out of the inning.” I don't see this as a big deal, especially since Ozzie made the two talk after the inning. Do you think it's a problem?
  16. I didn't want to start a new thread but how bout a list here. Answer if you are worried or not worried about these guys. Here are my answers. Anderson - Worried Scott P - Not worried. Garland - Not worried. Politte - Very worried. Uribe - Not worried. Our bullpen - Worried.
  17. Since I don't have the game on TV and I'm assuming too much I better get out of here for a while. Peace.
  18. These sloppy games are hard to win with our bullpen. It all boils down to pitching and defense.
  19. Cmon ND we can't assume multi talented anderson is gonna make an out every time up.
  20. I assume he screwed up the bunt. At some point a Widger has to execute if he wants to get in any games. I would blame the bunter not the call for the bunt.
  21. Your logic is faulty. A win tonight counts the same as a win later in the season. I agree, but he has to let his high paid, talented pitcher go 5, 6, 7 innings no matter what lest he lose the player. You have to let him get some innings this early in year no matter how he does.
  22. A big hit is what Anderson needs. If he doesn't fill me in if the fans boo. Cmon Brian.
  23. Ozzie can almost never see a meltdown taking place. He always stretches his starter too far. Did it with Garland the other day. It's early in the year. You don't yank these high paid pitchers before they even work 5 innings. He's managing for the season, folks.
  24. Did anybody at the Cell boo the DP? Hopefully he'll start hitting. Maybe they should do what they did with Thome when they gave him all those simulated at bats in spring training.
  25. Cause Mack hasn't impressed and I don't like Ozuna much for some reason.
