That was a crap lineup for sure. Harris needs to go the way of D'Angelo and White. I don't care if he's fast. He sucks. The guy doesn't belong on our roster at this time. He needs 3 more years in the minors to prove he can hit the ball.

I want to make the playoffs regardless. It is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all. That goes for the playoffs too. I am a competitor and want to take our chances in the playoffs. I just think it's sad we're already two back of KC again. They ain't goin away.

The Royals play the Rays 4 times next weekend while we play Oak. Not good. We do need to take care of business vs. KC somehow again. I tend to agree with Roman about the playoffs. Hopefully Manuel will put Frank back at first base. Why did he f*** with Frank?? Let Konerko DH for gosh sakes. HOpefully our momentum hasn't been killed.

Folks, I still like our chances, but the Royals aren't going away. Their schedule is much easier than ours and Sweeney is due back. We need to beat them 2 of 3 this week.

We played so bad for so long early in the year we are impatient because we somehow need to build a 5 game lead on the Royals and Twins and that is difficult to do without playing .850 ball for 3 weeks or so.

You are right. Great trip, but I'm concerned also we can't play with the big boys. We need to take 2 of 3 from KC in the obvious statement of the year.

Can somebody remind me how we acquired White? Was it a trade gone bad or ? He didn't seem as bad a guy in the clarification column by Arvia in the Southtown. But he sure stunk.

Hopefully closer by committee will work because it looks like we don't have a closer. I'd go with Flash again if it's a one-run game and if he blows his second save in a row, it might be time to try Koch again (yikes).

Obviously we are hot at the plate as a team. Can we stay as hot as we are as long as we were cold? In other words, we didn't hit for 2 months. Can we hit the hell out of the ball for the next 2 months? Or will we cool off again?

I agree that life before Carl sucked. He has had some bonehead plays like that throw last night, but like you pointed out, he's had some key hits.

Great article. Because of his attitude, I say give him another chance. But not every night. Flash and closer by committee, including Koch once in a while.

I just hope we keep getting good pitching and reasonably good defense. It looks like our hitting may be here to stay (knock on wood of course). We'll probably get shut out tonighit now that I said that. It's impossible to predict this series. I'd think we'd continue to play well, but we ain't as good as the M's.
