We got trouble now folks. May looks like the reincarnation of Jamie Moyer and Royals are doing the little things well like bunting. We got some problems at this point of the game.

On paper, game one is a tossup. May is a stiff but is crafty and we might suck against his lollypops. As much as I love Mark B., he at times is hittable. We need to eke out a 7-4 win in Game One, but we easily could lose 6-2 ish. we have bad luck oft times with crummy pitchers. Game Two we figure to lose with Jon vs. Runleys, who is a stud. Our only hope is to have Jon pitch a helluva game and/or out slug them in the late innings when relievers come in. Game Three on paper is ours. Baseball is a funny game, tho and anything can happen. I want 2 of 3 desperately, but we could lose 2 of 3 or get swept. A sweep by us would be incredible.

Nicely said by all of you, bmr, etc. I've blasted Thomas in the past when he was a dick, also. We have that right as Sox fans. Most of us are fair. If the player is trying, shutting the f*** up to the media, contributing, etc., we like them. I mean most of us feel sorry for Paulie more than hate the guy. Ditto Ritchie. He seemed like a good guy. But Royce sucked and whined. And guys like Harris and D'Angelo simply aren't good enough and we can see that. It's nice to see Frank turn it all around.

I don't know who I disliked more, Royce or Ritchie. Wait ... I know the answer to that ... Royce.

One at a time, Mr. Morrissey. We can't get ahead of ourselves or the Sox on the field are gonna continue to get nowhere fast.

I'm not a low standard quitter, I'm saying a.) we're not gonna sweep. So that means b.) we either win 2 or lose 2. By winning two that would be great. Losing two would not eliminate us. Losing 3 and we might as well do the firesale trade.

Some how we gotta win 2 of 3 and keep this going. If we lose all 3 our work is wasted.

We must win one game to stay in the race. If we win two, we should be happy. If we lose all 3, we might as well concede.

With our four starters and our improved lineup thanks to Alomar (Is Everett gonna get hot or is he a waste?) I can't believe we're struggling to win this division. If we don't win the division, JM must be fired. And I give him credit for our recovery, but seriously folks, we have the best team in this division and we may not win it.

Ibanez has some sort of skin infection. We should hope he can't play. He is damn good. Aaron Guiel, Beltran and Ibanez are all good players. They are overachieving, though.

I disagree that Rowand is better than Lee. Lee rarely is praised. There are a lotta worse players than Lee. He's knocked in a lot of runs AGAIN this year. I am not a Rowand hater, but his awful hitting early gives him no ammunition to ever complain about playing time. He's in a good role right now playing every once in a while. p.s. We haven't exactly been playing great teams, but it's nice to be winning. I think the reason we are winning is our great starting pitching and the fact we no longer have to see Harris and Jimenez on the field and in our lineup. Those 2 guys are not big leaguers.

But don't jump on the bandwagon when they turn into good major league players. Crede and Olivo might even be all stars someday. As far as Valentin, there are worse players than Jose. That is a wild story, Jim. I agree in omens. Good job in helping Frank out. Now do something for White and Koch.

We got 4 good starters, that is for sure. I like our Big 3 and Garland is still scary, but has been great this year.

Who cares if Koch may be better than White? White is crap, also. I agree with the great post that said Koch should be put on DL. He's like Ritchie. We need to just stop using him completely. He sucks. We should ship him somewhere before the trade deadline for a couple prospects.

See, what you are all saying is Hawk does criticize. He is critical. Name another big league announcer that criticizes and keeps his job? Football announcers are the worst. They are screamers for the home team at all times.

I think we should make the playoffs, but don't think we will make the playoffs. We won eight in a row and still did not make up much ground on KC. If we lose all 3 to KC this week, we are done. If we win one or two, then it's the same as always. We will still have a great chance to win. p.s. The Royals have made a serious mistake putting Affeldt in the bullpen. Affeldt is a stud. On paper we should easily win Game 3 of the Royals series.

Frank seems to have turned it around nicely. What do you think was the problem before? How did he correct it? I remember when he looked so hopeless at plate last yaer and early this year. What did Frank do to rebuild his career at the plate? Is he going opp. field again?

Surely we have somebody in our organization that can start, don't we? Who's our best No. 5 candidate in minors? How's the tall guy doing? Suppan sucks. We got 4 good starters; our team is in place for better or worse. No more trades please.

That was one, nice shift. Good scouting by somebody. That said, why is Koch ruining any chance we have to rally and win tonite's game?
