Way to go Mark B. Roman ... you are outta control about Mark. Give him his props. He's not a stiff.

Roman, It's not like he called a press conf. to talk about St. Louis. He gets asked about it by writers and simply comments about it. Roman, do you want puppets who don't speak their mind? Maybe you are right, maybe Mark B is toast and was a 2-year fluke. We shall see, but I don't think he deserves such venom yet.

There are many many reasons we suck and Mark B's 2-10 ain't the real reason. He ain't that stiff we had last year who is now in Milwaukee for gosh sakes. Roman, admit Mark B had 2 great years for us! Roman, You can blast me but I think you read the papers too closely. Why do you say he embarrassed a great franchise (ours is a great franchise?)? He responded to questions about boos. I respect him for standing up for himself. Why have you read so much venom into Mark B's quotes in the paper?? I am no expert on Mark B, but he seems to have Jamie Moyer like potential.

All I know is I received great praise from buddies one night as Chris Singleton stepped to the plate in a non bunt situation when I said, "Watch, he will beat out a bunt." He did, and the entire party freaked out. The reason I said it is I'd seen him reach via bunt many a time.

Josh you don't remember Singleton's bunts? He could bunt.

Singleton could bunt but we got rid of him. I'm thinking Cameron could bunt too, but we got rid of him.

Roman I'm surprised you are that upset at Mark B. If you read all his comments, they are not that vicious or controversial, don' t you think? I mean I guess he could have just said no comment or "I deserve to be booed," but he showed some life which I can't say for most of our inept players. I mean the guy had 2 great years and now is sucking like the rest of this lifeless team. I haven't seen that many games, so maybe you've seen laziness in Mark's performance or something. I'm sure you have your reasons, but I am not nearly as upset as you about his comments about the booing. What bothers you the most bout Mark B.

AR has had all the minor league seasoning he needs. I could care less if he rots on the bench or plays a lot, but it's time he sinks or swims in the majors. He's old enough.

IMO: We are going nowhere if we don't start doing what the smart teams do, trade lower prospects for good players who will command many dollars. i.e. trade 3 prospects who are not going to pan out to the Royals for Beltran, etc. I'm sick of us trading established players. Good GMs pull off the kind of trades I am referring to.

The problem is we draw so few fans the players can hear each boo individually. I don't blame Mark B. He's like the average worker who never gets praised when he does well by his bosses and takes mega s*** when he fails. That condition of humankind does suck. A lot of his tremendous victories the past couple years in his mind were taken grant of, but I feel I can speak for most of us in saying we respected each and every one of those outings. Mark B had me shaking my head the past two years as he piled up victory after victory. I agree with Yasny that he doesn't deserve boos at this time.

If I come back home this summer to chicago I'll have to ask you guys if you have any freebies. There could be lotsa freebies rolling around in late July, early Aug. when I'll probably be back.

Technically this is a come from behind win and those are always nice, right? We'll take it.
