We're my eyes deceiving me or did Borchard just strike out and Olivo just hit into a routine double play with runners on first and third and nobody out? We are so snakebit it is unreal.

I didn't need to hear that either. Another prospect sounds like nothing. We need a good bunter on our team. Remember how singleton used to get bunt hits? We can't buy a hit these days.

It would be sort of nice to start over. Or trade our organization for the Expos.

The way we're hitting I see no hope. I mean why should we all of a sudden start hitting. we got six hits today ... woohooo! Six hits. Way to go guys. Six hits!! I honestly think we're gonna maybe finish above Det. and that's it. If we can't hit we can't beat anybody. I guess if we fire Manuel there's a slight chance the team might respond, but I think anybody with a brain realizes KW is the problem and getting rid of Manuel may not matter. We might continue to lose, lose, lose.

What's sad is we're too cheap to pay anybody outside, so it'll be Backman if JM ever gets fired. I hope Backman is the answer. Walker sure hasn't been the answer as hitting coach, though I am now convinced hitting coaches don't do squat. It's a worthless position. Big league players aren't gonna listen to anybody.

Good point about Tom Gordon. He hasn't reminded anybody of Tom Seaver in his prime. His pitches often say, "hit me." Lets cut his ass and put in somebody else. Gordon deserves to exit stage left.

When we're not hitting like this, it does suck to have a bad defensive team, which we certainly are. Pitching: B. Offense: F. Defense: D.

Maybe we need a new ballpark. The ghost of old Comiskey is haunting new Comiskey and we are hexed to forever getting seven hits in every 38 at bats.

Same with Olivo. We might as well play both every day since we are out of contention. I wonder what is wrong with Paulie? Think he's hit the brick wall on his career and he's suddenly done? A la Kittle? Joe Charboneau? Or do you think it's just a slump?

Eight hits in 35 at bats today. We cannot hit the baseball. This proves one thing: Hitting coaches do not matter a bit. It's our lazy ass hitters unwilling to make adjustments. High paid assholes should be ashamed of themselves.

If we had a good manager we would win this division in spite of the worst GM in baseball. Too bad there aren' t more like Piniella. Let's go with Valentine, Bucky Dent or Backman now!

It is over because of the Twins. They are better than we are again. Early in the year they were sucking and we, the Royals, et. all did not take advantage. The Twins got it together and are going to have a fine year. We, meanwhile, can't win a series against anybody. I agree with the last poster. Minn will win going away.

Wow. Great effort by Jon. Again this proves he has it in him. It's up to our staff to get him to be the player this shows again he can be. This isn't the only time he's had an excellent outing in his career. Nice win for him.

Hard to believe reinsdork will stand for no attendance the rest of the summer, hell the summer hasn't even started yet. But we are so bad only the great loyal fans like many on this board will go to the park. We are in the "who cares" stage. The Sox are boring, old news to most of chicago and the country. Only hope is to make major decisions on a new GM and new manager now. But that ain't gonna happen. Valentine should be brought in now and he can run the team til new GM is found. We are so bad it really is laughable.
