He would have won manager of the year if not for the ill timed collapse at the end. Was the firing fair? If the veterans hated him, yes. But to be fair, the guy still had a team with a lot of holes. He didn't sign EE. He didn't sign a catcher with some deficiencies in calling a game and defensively when we didn't need a catcher. Sox got McCann/Collins. It's not his fault Kopech needed to sit out a year. It's not his fault Sox did not have enough starters. It's not his fault Dallas picked a bad day to have a bad start. Life isn't fair. No I was gonna write in Ozzie but thought better of it. If I said I wrote in Ventura I lied but I do love Ventura. I'm no dummy. If I did lie, sorry, Buffalo, it's not a good thing to do. I realize Trump is a rich spoiled man who is selfish IMO and not the best person. But Hillary had angered me beyond belief. I did vote for Sox fan/great man Obama twice. To be honest with you, I'd probably vote for Michelle O if she ran this time. You won't see me voting for either of these candidates this year. Sad that some people like me won't be at the polls.

I don't know why he's my hero. I voted for Obama over Romney and McCain and I sat out the Trump-Hillary election cause I didn't see any reason to vote for a write-in candidate. For somebody who is pretty conservative, I don't run to the ballot box and hit the R button on all candidates.

Just because I love Tucker doesn't mean he's a bad host, ill informed. I could say the same about Cuomo and Lemon. Just because some people are silent about it does not mean Tucker Carlson and Hannity do not have a lot of viewers. Personally I just want us all to live in peace, have health and be prosperous right now. I fear all three things are things of the past. It makes me sad and concerned that people can;'t accept others' views and why they might disagree with others views. Believe it or not, Carlson has a ton of viewers. So does Limbaugh. So does Hannity. You may know some people who watch them or like them. Those viewers are not all bad Americans. Personally I also enjoy Maher and listening to his views. Yet I also love Rogan. It's good to listen to all views.

Are you confident it is going to stay that way or is it untrue people are fleeing Chicago over taxes, brutal winters and businesses not wanting to deal with the looting going unpunished via dropped charges/no charges. I am all for it staying the financial hub of the nation. I have read about people fleeing NYC, Chicago and LA over taxes and homeless and violence. Even Bill Maher, who is liberal, was talking about it on his last show with a Democratic rep from California for instance, that people are fleeing big cities like LA.

He wasn't willing to do anything cause he decided Pelosi wasn't serious about passing a bill and he didn't want to deal with her. She won that battle. He conceded defeat, realizing it made him look bad, thus he started working on the stimulous again rather than after re-election. Pelosi won this battle in their war.

I worship Ozzie but this shouldn't be discussed. Waste of time. He has opened his mouth way too many times and he dug his own grave so to speak in baseball. He loves being interviewed and having the power of being a manager (at least pre COVID when fans were in the park). His stances on issues might cause immediate protests. Castro stuff; didn't he offend some different groups of peeps? Sox can't take that chance of picketing, riots, etc., because of Ozzie when a TON of other capable managers are available out there. Just pick the right one. Sox need to resist the tempation of picking former Sox with no experience. I could see them picking Thome or AJP and that would be dumb. In conclusion, I'd love for Ozzie to be manager but it won't happen so why discuss it?

I think Sox fans are spoiled. Robert is very young. He's an amazing center fielder. He'll learn how to play the wall. He covers so much ground it would be insane to move him. Yeah he has trouble at the wall. He also is still learning how to hit. The tools are all there to be a mashing center fielder.

I watched a ton of games on mlb.com. One reason I didn't get worked up when the team tanked late. They played hard during a trying time in world history and I was happy to have baseball.

How many blasted him? One or two or a ton? Here in Kansas people wear masks cause it's the rule. If you are eating and/or drinking you can take it off. Why are people still blasting others for wearing a mask? Doesn't EVERYBODY by now know somebody with covid-19 or who had covid-19? I know up to five people now. Yeah it's real; yeah I don;'t want to get it.

Can she go to emergency? This is appalling. So now we can't even get emergency medical care? So now as a country we are at the stage we can't get emergency treatment. Yes the world is coming to an end as we once knew it. We're all doomed if we are being left to have to endure a serious medical condition with 3 week waits for treatment.

Am I afraid of the Chinese government? Of course I am. My beef is not with the regular Chinese person. Ditto Russia. You know a lot of Americans agree with me. Are Chinese atrocities made up? I am an American and proud of it and yes I am wary of some other government officials.

Your guys' posts make it seem like this is 3 months ago. The reality is more stuff is opening. Vegas concerts are returning soon. College indoor events are allowing fans. Schools are opening more and more. Why are we arguing about opening things. They are open.

The lesson here is again ... this virus is nasty. The Chinese really created a doozy of a virus whether by the guy eating the bat or let the conspiracies roll. I'll defer to Caulfield and accept whatever theory he has as the cause of this nasty nasty virus. The other lesson: If you are going to have an active lifestyle, travel a lot, you better wear the mask, avoid the hugs and handshakes and be CAREFUL and mindful at all times. If you take the mask off when you can or where you can get away with it, coupled with extensive travel and a lot of meetings with people, you are gonna get it. Now if you wear your mask all the time, always are cautious, and don't travel at all, you go ahead and eat at restaurants once in a while and go to the dentist, go to the doctor, get your haircut, go to church but are safe, you just might make it to the time there's a vaccine. Me personally I've said before I catch three severe colds each winter through spring (November through April) like clockwork. I travel in that span and if you travel, you are going to get sick. I never get the flu (knock on wood) cause I get the flu shot every year at this time. You cant tell me that planes are clean and airports are clean and rental car buses and hotels are clean. They are not and you catch germs and you get sick. "Most" of normal life has to be put on hold or cautious hold or you are going to get the virus. Trump got it and think of all the advantages he has regarding safety (even tho he won't wear his mask when he should; that's probably what got him). It's an example for all of us. If you travel and regularly are around a lot of people for work and you are a half-assed mask wearer, you are gonna get the virus. You just are. Jim Acosta just tweeted Trump's case is serious stuff. He is having shortness of breath. Let Trump be an example to all of us to be safe. And finally ... I'm thinking yes there probably was one event where this baby spread like a wildfire. It'd be interesting to see if somebody had a really bad active case of the virus and a WHOLE LOTTA people in the White House got it. I pray for all of them. I don't want anybody to die unless it's proven they are murderers or trying to overthrow the country, something like that. I know some people who want Trump to die and I'm sorry, I can't go that route.

He's not getting fired because of the big picture. He got the team in the playoffs and the players seem to like him. Despite the horrible fade at the end, big picture says he stays. It'd look bad to fire a guy in the running for manager of the year. Frankly despite his awful moves during games he did lead a team with many holes into the playoffs. The Sox rotation was disgracefully bad. It has to improve or this team is winning nothing of real note.
