3/28 GT - Sox @ Royals (3:15pm CST)
Why would the Sox move? It's not like it's the fans fault for this current malaise/attendance drop. If Jerry and the partners sell the team, I hope baseball demands Chicago keep its two teams. Once the higher ups in baseball start favoring a move, then it's a different story. They've always been OK to good with Chicago having 2 teams. Again, just cause we suck currently doesn't mean we have to move. It's 2 guys' decision to rebuild through the tank method, KW and Hahn. Nobody else in the city is to blame if we have bad attendance. It's their decision that could have easily been to rebuild in a different way. I can't see the Sox moving. There are too many other options once the lease evaporates. You think this team wouldn't draw 30,000 to 35,000 in say, Naperville or Schaumberg (if the traffic patterns worked)? Or in a downtown-ish locale?

I've decided to leave so maybe we'll score! Bless you White Sox fans. It's baseball season so it's time to raise a cheer in recognition of baseball! Goodbye and GO SOX!

Hey last year at this time Matty was raking. I checked the roster and I don't think he made the MLB roster of Texas.

I need to go do something moderately important but I want to see if we can score a run. Decisions, decisions. ...

I will forever approach baseball in two segments now cause it's really two different games. The first six innings is Game One; the next 3 is entirely separate entity. We were OK in game one today. In Game Two we have looked below par.

I watched the replay of Mondesi's first triple. Man we got the ball in slow and executed that poorly. Eloy just buried that last throw but a.) ball mita been wet. b.) he mighta just buried one. Whatever.

At least the rebuild has calmed me down. I used to get very mad when we lost to KC. Unfortunately if greg is now apathetic think about the casual fan, how little interest they probably have. There is a chance we get to KC's bullpen today.

We should keep a list of the pitchers we tip our caps to this year. Keller has to be done for the day, so he's No. 1.

We should hit Keller this inning. It's the seventh for gosh sakes. Time to hit.

Fathom has a great baseball mind IMO. Could he be smartest baseball mind on board? It's worth pondering. Fathom is a god IMO.

Oops, I just thought this. They better not hit Eloy. Benches.Might.Clear.

Hi folks, Do you love the kinder gentler Greg? I didn't have TV service the last 2.5 months and got it fixed today just for the Sox game. Thanks to instant replay we are down, 1-0. Great, now that we hit Gordon by accident the rest of the series could be beanball war thanks to baseball's unwritten rules.

How many games will the White Sox win in 2019?
I feel like Coop is the key. With a bad pitching coach, our staff could be one of the worst imaginable. But I think Coop can take the arms of our starters and all those bullpen arms and develop the best staff in the AL Central. Our defense in the outfield may be a problem. If so I'd get Palka out of right and sacrifice some pop for defense out there even if we have to play Jay in center and Engle in right or verse visa. Our infield defense should be OK to good. I predicted 88 wins and will stand by it cause of pitching and our all-star candidates (Eloy, Tim, Abreu, Moncada).

Jussie Smollett/Chicago police nice work
Thanks for the info. I don't follow the Chicago news as closely as I should sometimes. The Smollett thing was such a national thing I picked it up right away. Thanks Harry. You going to opening day or any Rice baseball this spring?

Jay injury update
Can Eloy catch the ball? He's gonna be out there a lot of years. He's not a sieve out there is he? Is Palka as bad or worse than Avi?

Jussie Smollett/Chicago police nice work
My guess is he'd comment about any case if prodded/asked. Perhaps the media doesn't care about those other cases. He can't just start speaking; he has to have an audience right? The major was great today if you listen to it.

Jussie Smollett/Chicago police nice work
Update. I've been reading the different sites and nobody is believing the Chicago cops, lol. Yeah, right. So the country is behind Jussie. Good for the country. Frickin' amazing. Please, FBI, keep this case alive. Chicago deserves better!

Jussie Smollett/Chicago police nice work
I watched the news conference with Raul and the police chief. It was GREAT. Raul pointed out Jussie is still screaming his innocence and had the gall to say it happened to him. Geez, you got away with it, Jussie. Don't insult the Chicago cops any more. Hopefully because he's doing this he'll get nailed by the FBI over that letter he allegedly sent to himself threatening himself or SOMETHING. I mean I'd wish Jussie no ill will if he just got away with it and shut up. But he's still gabbing about his innocence. Just shut up. There aren't that many PUBLIC cases in which something like this happens where he just gets off with nothing. I will say the Trib's story was different from the one I read at CNN. The Trib story implied Jussie must give his whole bail (100,000) to the city, not 10,000. And the Trib story said the AG or somebody said they didn't dispute Jussie was still guility. They simply said he was guilty but paid his debt thru $$ and community service which he woulda got anyway. OK, I hope the Trib story is the accurate one. But I love our Chicago cops and police chief and Raul was OUTSTANDING at the news conference. Watch it if you haven't. I can't find the link. I found it,

Jay injury update
I can stomach Alonso but I think it'd be a nice gesture to the fans to cut Jay before opening day. Every at bat he gets I'll be saying, "Why??" There's absolutely no logical reason to let that guy have more than 40 at bats.

Thoughts on the Sox shifting Moncada to 3b?
Why didn't we wait til Madrigal was ready then put him at 3B? He could have played second another season and see how good he's getting there. Who is starting at 2B for us now? Poor Timmy has to get used to another DP combination.

2019 Predictions
I will put a good and bad scenario then choose one for you ... Good scenario: Our rotation emerges as best in the division thanks in part to Coop and baseball starts to forget about the idea of "openers." All of our starters excel. ... Our bullpen also is best in division thanks in part to Coop, but also some talent on the staff. c.) Anderson makes All Star team. d.) Moncada makes all star team. e.) Abreu makes all star team. f.) Palka has another good year. g.) Eloy makes all star team and is top five vote getter for MVP. Sox because of all this have a bad April but after that go on a sizz and actually contend all year. Bad scenario: Our rotation blows. Lopez is horrible, Rodon average and the new guy from Pitt abysmal. Our bullpen also blows because the closer sucks and it messes with the new Royals acquisition. Eloy is great but Timmy shows little progress, Moncada continues to be called out on questionable strikes by the umps and Abreu is on the decline. Eloy is the only bright spot; we finish last. My pick: The Good scenario. Folks, thank goodness we have Coop cause this staff is gonna dominate the division, starters and pen. Inspired by the pitching, my above mentioned players WILL have all star seasons. Sox contend, maybe even win pathetic division cause Cleveland has two good pitchers and that's it.
