  1. I'm not a troll but I think you are one. Why troll? It's not fun and it worsens the board. Only somebody with rocks for brains would think we could ever get back in the pennant race. I guess we were in the race at 2-0, but that was about it for 2018. Cmon Sin City, go hit the Strip pools, especially the naked pool at Caesars. Why post on a beautiful holiday?
  2. Just saw the replace of Skole's homer. I love the ritual of ignoring the guy at first then mobbing him in dugout. No matter what happens in his career he'll always remember homering in his debut.
  3. What? Half this board would be fine with him getting traded It's not like there are 99 greg's clamoring to keep Jose A. From the things I've heard Hahn say in the past I am thinking he will be dealt at the trade deadline this year. But I hope Hahn gets buried in the press for doing it. Jose has been so consistent with the Sox. The 3 prospects the Sox get for him ... there's no guarantee they'll do squat. Sox are getting a no. 4 pick in this draft in a couple weeks, a No. 1 pick next year and probably a top four pick the following year. Those are 3 more prospects to add to the system. No need to trade Jose for 3 more.
  4. That's a very very good article. Read it if you haven't. Jason Bennetti is a good announcer, folks. Perhaps at times the jokes are a bit stale but hey you try to broadcast a team that is this bad. These guys do a fine job.
  5. Little rough. I wonder if Jason reads this board. If he does, I would like to say I enjoy his work. He and Stoney are fun to listen to, especially compared to the schmuck broadcasts around baseball with all the homers shilling for tickets, etc.
  6. Figuratively
  7. Post of the year
  8. I would think drafting high school kids is riskier than ever in this day and age. But if he's a great hitter, I guess Sox will take him.
  9. I'm glad you praise him in your post. I appreciate that. I get frustrated by the age thing. I think he has five good years left in him if his age has not been doctored and that takes us through the WS title years.
  10. As ridiculously horrible as the Sox are they still are only 8 games back. This is what irritates me. We could be doing the rebuild thing and actually still be winning the division. Granted we've had some injury problems, but if the front office didn't sit on its hands all winter, it could have acquired some arms and a bat or two -- guys that wouldn't be blocking anybody. All it would have cost is a few bucks. The only harming of the rebuild in that scenario would be getting a draft pick of 10 or so instead of one or two, big deal. Eight games back with one of the worst teams in modern Sox history, embarrassing. I wish the commish would fine the teams that are tanking. If you watch our games or highlights of our games, it's clear the fans who do go to the Cell want to win. They are actively rooting for W's. Eight out! LOL.
  11. Good post. I'd like to add he's been phenomenal as a White Sox and is ultra consistent. All he does is put up numbers. Stud.
  12. Guy goes 4-for-4 again today. Has been as consistent or more consistently excellent than any other player in White Sox history. And he gets no love. Very strange and sad. If we are dumb enough to trade him I hope it's to the Cubs so he stays in Chicago. Any fan who wants him gone deserves him raking for the Cubs.
  13. It seems Alex Jones' 20 minutes of fame have been used up. Is he still popular? It seems to me he's considered a caricature or a weird uncle type. I did a youtube search and watched his hour long interview with Kevin Trudeau. Geez. Alex Jones does no homework, thinks Trudeau's books actually were valuable in curing illnesses. Jones' take on the mass shootings being fake ... beyond awful. They should take him to one of the cities where these disasters happen and have him go to the hospitals and see the injured and deceased. What a dope. But I thought he jumped the shark with Kelly interview and is now just regarded as a weird uncle.
  14. So how many years do Weinstein and Cosby get? I say one for Cosby, probably 20-40 for Harvey. Harvey out on probation in about 12 years. Cosby serves his whole year.
  15. Only the Democrats can have a viable candidate (last election) in Bernie and not let the voting process play out and get him in as the candidate over a controversial Hillary. If the party would have ridden Bernie-mania it would have won. Cause the media would ultimately have shrugged and said, "Damnit we wanted Hillary to fulfill her coronation, but If Bernie has to be the candidate then Bernie it is." They'd have backed him heavily as they did Hillary. We don't need to re-visit the problems of Hillary as a candidate, but we do need to push Bernie cause he is a.) a name. b.) beloved by the youth. c.) willing to get us free stuff unlike the bastards whose only goal seems to force homelessness on the poor and middle class. Nobody cares bout us actively besides Bernie.
  16. I read an article that said this year's draft blows and all the picks are about the same. It made me laugh as I am no draft-nik.
  17. Thanks. That's an educational post IMO. Thank u
  18. No evidence. I just read some poster saying somebody wrote he might be older than it says on his baseball card. I hope he's the exact age he's supposed to be. Look, he's hitting great again this year. So taking the emotion out of it ... Mr. Hahn is probably thinking seriously about trading him at the deadline this season. It'd be just like Sale. Trading an all star for probably 3 prospects. Will they be top prospects? We shall see. I bet you right now the true odds of him being dealt are 50-50. Especially if what you guys say is true about him commanding 18 to 20 mill a year. That's not the Sox style to pay that jack, especially in this fan friendly age of fans loving prospects. I think it's 50-50 he gets dealt; maybe 60-40 cause of the rebuild thing and the fact fans won't give him any grief over a deal that involves at least 3 prospects. Personally I want to keep him.
  19. I don't buy the re-signing thing. That doesn't seem like it happens very much.
  20. PTATC I respect your knowledge more than anybody on the board. So give us your assessment. Will he make it or bust? And as far as his mechanics and delivery ... do you approve? My most recent eyetest saw a guy just laying it in there like a batting practice pitcher. Please give us your thorough analysis of his mechanics, his delivery and his arm angles. And give me the same on Nate Jones. Thank u sir.
  21. I'm not a joke. I'm furious at the unfairness of getting to have a job where you are allowed to fail, and receive raises and pats on the back for failing with the so-called rebuild the excuse. I hate to break it to people, but there is a LOT of work to be done to build this roster. And with our fans' desire to not spend cash, good luck building a contender. Yes on paper there are some nice pieces, but already there are some ???s. Rey-Lo looks like a rotation pitcher (that's good), Moncada looks like an all star (that's good), Timmy is OK, but that defense? Gio frankly has a ton of work to do. Some want to ship Abreu out for more prospects. Davidson is my idol but may not be the answer at DH. The relievers? Maybe Fry really is good. Nate is OK. The rest of the staff blows. You know ... as bad as the Sox teams have been, we better be contenders 6-10 straight years to make up for the pain of these crappy teams.
  22. Amen Flash! You and I are soul mates on this issue. It's the best job ever.
  23. It's another one of those games where Hahn gets to be a genius. Instead of feeling embarrassed at that relief choke job, he can smile and wink at the investors and say, 'Just as we planned it.' That top 2 draft pick is coming next year ... yeah! Sure hope this year's No. 4 and next year's 1 or 2 are not busts. Of course we'll give them 4-6 years to make the majors. Hahn can keep the rebuild mystery going as long as he wants and be beloved by fans, owners, everybody. It's unAmerican to try to lose like this.
  24. Yeah so we can get the No. 4 pick again (or 3, 2 or 1) when people are saying there's no difference this year between 4 and 14. What a joke the draft is in baseball.
  25. The odds of Trump being impeached before the next election are greater than his winning again. The Russia thing will get him. If not the porn star thing could escalate, etc. He has too many ghosts to last long. Bernie actually would have beaten him. The Millenials were loving him and he was a huge thing. I think he actually got robbed out of the election by his own party and election fraud, etc. I'm a bernie backer, baby.
