  1. Nope. Nobody will ever have to hear/read greg's opinions on the pick. Who'd we take in round two?
  2. You'll be happy to know I am gonna decline comment on our first round pick.
  3. Hey rabbit, I read your post a couple times and am confused. I did not know you could pick your gender legally. So what you are saying is the opposite of prejudice in society? You actually are more likely to be promoted when some would think it would be hard to get hired. So if you are gender fluid, what do employers consider you? Are you a woman at work? Or a man because you have the traditional man part. Did you legally get deemed a woman or gender fluid? So gender fluid, legally you can be a man or woman on any partic. day? Good luck to you. It sounds confusing.
  4. Sounds pretty cool and interesting to me. More questions coming.
  5. Definitely. Burger? Great pick (sarcasm). If not for the unloading of some players, the rebuild would be impossible with the Sox record in the draft. You are right. They on paper got a haul for Q, Sale, Eaton, Robertson. Those guys we got in those deals are the core of the rebuild plus Moncada and Robert.
  6. Some of you need to grow up and accept what Shields said. Not everybody agrees that losing as many games as possible is healthy for the sport and healthy for the White Sox even.
  7. I love ptatc but despise the last sentence. It's very sad when a GM builds a team to lose as many games as possible when the reward is something as silly as a BASEBALL DRAFT PICK. The one draft that doesn't mean squat normally, especially with an organization that has picked the wrong guy so many times and has a problem developing guys. Makes me sick.
  8. I didn't really understand rabbit's post on his gender. Anybody wanna translate in terms a low IQ greg can understand?
  9. Ten bucks is a lot for a beer. Six bucks is a lot for a dog. 20 is a lot for parking. Just.Win.Baby. if you are gonna charge that.
  10. It's going to be interesting to see who you want to pay. I know ... Machado. You are one of the fans who wanna pay Machado whatever it takes and nobody else makes squat, right? Some of you guys seem to live for a low payroll. I live for Ws during bad seasons, good seasons, rebuild seasons. I may have you mis-pegged, but you seem against paying anybody cept the Machado, Harper, guys like that.
  11. Damn, I am gonna have to stop hating on James Shields. Love his comment. Thanks, James, for trying.
  12. I used to work in the 9th hole stand at a golfcourse in Woodridge and the golfers would b**** and moan as the bottled beer was way overpriced. They paid it but it got annoying to hear the b****ing. Nobody's gonna b**** at a vendor at a ballpark. I think it wouldn't go over well since those guys usually are pouring beer after beer and fans don't wanna hear b****ing they want their beer at the ballpark. Ten bucks is a lot. You got to wonder if it will just stick at 10 bucks a year or two.
  13. You guys that want to lose every game intrigue me. So you are gonna be disappointed on draft day Monday cause this is a weak draft and we get No. 4. So whereas I laugh and say, "sign greg some free agents," what's your guys' position? That it's sad we didn't lose more to get the no. 1 pick??
  14. 9.75 lol. Like anybody is going to want the quarter back.
  15. Very true. Once they start charging like 13.50, they might as well move it to 20 bucks. People would whip out a 20 for a cold brewski or even a warm one at a MLB game.
  16. I've soured on Hawk a bit since he said our team never quits. I know it's a harmless cliche but I expect better from the great hawkeroo.
  17. Sox are being patient with Engel. That would be neat if he becomes a ballplayer. He's already whacked more hits than many ever thought he would including moi.
  18. Good. No need to have him on our team. I'll give him credit for not tanking and trying to earn his salary. I can't imagine we get much for him considering it'll be all salary relief. Maybe one young arm or two very very fringe prospects.
  19. I wanted .500 then we bring up Eloy and Kopech and maybe we win a lousy division while rebuilding. I wanted two relievers of note, one starter, one third baseman and one outfielder baby.
  20. I've hated almost all our moves, yes. I was very happy about Pods. I worshiped Dye. Loved Contreras and loved Iguchi acquisition. Of the four I probably loved Contreras the least. Why can't you guys help me out. You tell me two relievers we could have signed who are very good; one starter very good; one third baseman and one outfielder and maybe a catcher besides Beef. All it woulda cost is a few bucks. It wouldn't have prevented anybody from advancement.
  21. If you asked somebody who is not one of us fanatics if they wanted to go to a game that night what would they say? And what about jerseys and hats? Do you see many/ Finally have we lost the Little Leaguers? Are they all Cub fans?
  22. I was wondering living out of state ... is there any buzz in Chicago at all about the White Sox? Does the city totally ignore the team. Is it like a minor league team where TV and the websites and news outlets barely cover the team at all?
  23. I don't follow the Cubs. Frankly I wish I could stomach them cause I'm dying to care about a team that wins. But I hate the Cubs and know very little about them. No time to follow teams besides the Sox. I enjoy listening to Denny Matthews get crabby (less this year for some reason) and bark at his co announcers so sometimes in the car I listen to royals when driving. No Cubs though.
  24. I still think Moose would have been a good 3Bman for us for 5-6 years. Could you give me the list of last year's FAs. My preference was 2 good relievers, one GOOD starter and a third baseman, Moose, as well as one outfielder. None of those guys would have been blocking anybody and coulda helped us creep to .500. You guys with the list and pick for me. Give me a good starter, Moustakas, a good outfielder and two good relievers. That's not cheating. It's Hahn's job. I was not a big castillo fan at catcher (again Sox have made very few moves that have met my approval since 05) but at least they tried there. You'll get mad at me for Royals talk, but Cain is a winner as well.
