But the Sox make it easy for anti-draftniks like me every year. Last year they take a Missouri State ballplayer at No. 1 for goshsakes (again I wish him well in his recovery; I'd buy him 10 beers if I could) and this year, tell me why greg shouldn't yawn. This isn't meant to be negative. Again I take the draft for what it is and hope our first 2 picks do well. Like I said I want Ws. But the biggest W ... you tell me W(hy) I should be doing handstands and want to sacrifice wins for No. 4 pick overall?

I hate discussions of a player's weakness when it is shrugged off by saying other players make up for that. Other players IMO have nothing to do with Madrigal. Judge him on his own skill set. It's silly to say he has an absence of power (a negative) and shrug it off by saying we'll have other players supply the power. Who cares about that? Heaven forbid the other guys get injured or something. If Madrigal's lack of power is a problem it's a problem.

I'm glad you guys all love Davidson now. I worshiped him last year as well.

Sports and politics mixing so much is kind of divisive. Not gonna change with Trump in office unfortunately. It's probably best the teams don't go visit. Just think if they visited the White House and snubbed Trump while on the grounds? Or gave speeches blasting Trump, etc. Even more divisive.

Sox have been so bad defensively throughout modern history with a few exceptions. I guess the 05 team was pretty good defensively. Don't know about 59. The 77 team might have been one of the best in baseball history if it could catch the ball.

Hey rabbit, I read your post a couple times and am confused. I did not know you could pick your gender legally. So what you are saying is the opposite of prejudice in society? You actually are more likely to be promoted when some would think it would be hard to get hired. So if you are gender fluid, what do employers consider you? Are you a woman at work? Or a man because you have the traditional man part. Did you legally get deemed a woman or gender fluid? So gender fluid, legally you can be a man or woman on any partic. day? Good luck to you. Definitely. Burger? Great pick (sarcasm). If not for the unloading of some players, the rebuild would be impossible with the Sox record in the draft. You are right. They on paper got a haul for Q, Sale, Eaton, Robertson. Those guys we got in those deals are the core of the rebuild plus Moncada and Robert.

Some of you need to grow up and accept what Shields said. Not everybody agrees that losing as many games as possible is healthy for the sport and healthy for the White Sox even.

I love ptatc but despise the last sentence. It's very sad when a GM builds a team to lose as many games as possible when the reward is something as silly as a BASEBALL DRAFT PICK. The one draft that doesn't mean squat normally, especially with an organization that has picked the wrong guy so many times and has a problem developing guys. Makes me sick.

I used to work in the 9th hole stand at a golfcourse in Woodridge and the golfers would b**** and moan as the bottled beer was way overpriced. They paid it but it got annoying to hear the b****ing. Nobody's gonna b**** at a vendor at a ballpark. I think it wouldn't go over well since those guys usually are pouring beer after beer and fans don't wanna hear b****ing they want their beer at the ballpark. Ten bucks is a lot. You got to wonder if it will just stick at 10 bucks a year or two.

You guys that want to lose every game intrigue me. So you are gonna be disappointed on draft day Monday cause this is a weak draft and we get No. 4. So whereas I laugh and say, "sign greg some free agents," what's your guys' position? That it's sad we didn't lose more to get the no. 1 pick??
