This Hillary Clinton cannot be our next president. Is America that dumb to elect her?? Read this and weep https://gma.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/hilla...s-politics.html
  2. What a weird team. Get the two runs, then Webb gives the game away against a god-awful team. Sad.
  3. Did Hawk scream "yes" or was I hearing things? He was safe by a mile.
  4. Well, Downs did the job. I won't bag on Gillaspie for his failure, cause he looked really pissed at himself on the closeup following the horrible DP ball.
  5. Downs ... I have to give a big LOL. Don't like our chances.
  6. fathom called it before it happened regarding Webb's suckiness.
  7. Webb is giving them the game.
  8. That DP by Gillaspie was unexpected and a killer.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 20, 2014 -> 06:32 AM) Id bet the farm against that. I dunno. If we lose Game Two, the sweep may be on.
  10. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 20, 2014 -> 06:00 AM) Sox cannot beat Minn no matter what. If that's true and we lose all four, all hell should break loose. A four-game sweep would undo a lot of positive feelings about this season so far.
  11. Caufield I am going to Gwangju, South Korea next summer for 2 weeks; can you at your leisure send me a nice dissertation on where I should stay, what hotel and what I should expect. Also any pointers about computers and phones, etc. Thank u.
  12. Hopefully the Sox can split this series if we lose tonight.
  13. I hate losing to this s*** team.
  14. Time for Q to suck it up again. Two out double. A hit here would be crucial for the Twinks.
  15. Q: Will Adam Eaton be our centerfielder the next 8-10 years? I say yes.
  16. That ump could be concussed. Should take a breather.
  17. Would the Twinks trade Willingham to the Royals for the stretch run? That just popped into my head. I know the Royals aren't the Sox.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 20, 2014 -> 03:08 AM) This pitcher has nothing Who u talking about .... Q? Nyuk nyuk. Wish Beckham wouldn't have gotten picked off second. I thought only DeAza did that stuff (lastyear).

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 10:47 AM) All cable news is biased and opinionated now. Flip on Fox, you'll get the other way. There just is no news channel that is in the middle anymore. I don't know how Limbaugh can live with himself never questioning a buffoon Republican and how Matthews can worship Hillary that way. I guess it's like me loving Ozzie. They can't help themselves.
  20. QUOTE (Señor Ding-Dong @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 03:05 AM) I was at this game in the K Zone. Awesome, awesome, awesome. I sat right next to the bullpen and Abreu launched that bomb like 10 feet away from me. Later on some guy got nailed in the face with a ball from the bullpen. Damn, did it break his nose/face? Blood? That's scary.
  21. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 03:50 PM) Do you feel that Stephen Strasburg is an ace? The real question is now "Is Verlander an ace?" The answer is "Of course not." I know people get mad at my talk radio host type absolutes but I will say this as an absolute: Any team that signs a pitcher to a long-term deal is foolish. In fact, all owners should FORBID their GMs for signing guys more than 3 year deals. Look at Verlander's deal. Let's say he keeps this up. It will be SUCH a waste of money. Pitcher's today get hurt; pitchers not named Buehrle today are not durable for the most part. Long term deals are ridiculous for pitchers.
  22. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 01:45 AM) I see no reason Ausmus should be in trouble for that joke. It was a fricking joke. Yes a stupid one, but he said "I'm just kidding" immediately. I mean it was instant. He shouldn't have gone there, but geezus, lighten up America. Or just acknowledge it was a bad joke and move on.
  23. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 01:22 AM) Well I'm very glad to hear that they have figured it out financially for themselves. I'm not sure why you or I as fans really care about that, but whatever. Aren't you a tad more interested in the product on the field, though? Wouldn't you like to see the team make it to the playoffs more than once every seven or eight years? Because that's all we've gotten during the last 34 years, and that's why there's only a bandwagon fan base (and not even a very good one at that!), and why the park is more than half empty every single day. But hey - they "HAVE figured it out financially at least" so who am I to complain! Great thread. I wish we could have a frontoffice do-over back to 2005. Upon winning that title, the Sox should have had been able to ride that momentum to consistent greatness. I bet KW would have made some badass tinkering moves had he known what ridiculously dismal years would follow the greatest sports moment of all Sox fans' lives.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 12:26 AM) Dan Hayes ‏@DanHayesCSN 58m Cool postgame moment: Ozzie Guillen giving Robin Ventura a high five and a hug in the hall outside the #WhiteSox clubhouse. I tell u. Ozzie certainly has been humbled by all this. I bet if he gets a job in baseball again he'll finally shut up with the media. Everybody knows he's a great baseball mind. If he gets a second chance, my bet is he tones down the ego. As far as today's win ... with all the advanced stats out there, I wonder if anybody can tell us if the Sox will be .500 all year and be able to contend if Abreu continues to put up MVP numbers and Sale continues to wreak havoc on hitters? In other words, does the presence of two MVPs assure a team will not totally suck? I'm guessing Abreu's numbers alone and Sale's may be enough historically to keep a team at least around the .500 level. Has any team ever completely sucked (99 loss type team) WITH arguably the best hitter and best pitcher in the league on its roster? DeAza with 3 hits?? Nice. Also nice to see the Sox not completely fall off the ledge after the Royals debacle. The team continues to surprise (me) with its resiliency. Those of you that have believed all along like el rockin I guess deserve free beer.

Geez, MSNBC's Chris Matthews is in love with Hillary. What a paid commercial his Hardball show was tonight. What is the deal with these announcers? Republicans: Devil. Democrats: Saintly. WTF?
