2023 Memorial Day - White Sox State of the Union
The Kids Can Play replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I agree and I have posted numerous times that if it means the Sox having a huge embarrassing implosion where they lose over 100 games this year creates change then so be it. I am ok with that type of disastrous season.....in order for major change to occur and get Rick Hahn fired. I have been a lifelong loyal Sox fan and that will never change. Even if they continue to be terrible, which is probably going to happen until Jerry, Kenny and Hahn are gone, I will remain a fan. However being a loyal fan doesn't mean I can't be harsh about the POS owner and GM. We as fans have every right to criticize this inept POS owner and front office. The best thing that can happen is for this team to continue losing and to embarrass themselves so much, that at the trade deadline there won't be any question as to why the White Sox need to be major sellers. Although it sucks it will be Hahn doing it. You're right though, in time Jerry will pass on and a new owner will come in. I disagree with you that the new owner will move the team out. The Sox fan have proven if they put a good competitive playoff team on the field, the fans will come out and draw well. The future rich billionaire Sox owner will be realize it makes total sense to stay in the third largest market with an established and long loyal fan base. The only thing stopping the Sox from being an elite team is a brilliant Pres/GM combo. Jerry has allowed Hahn more than enough money to spend and get good free agents. The problem is Hahn made horrible FA signings and wasted away the money. If the new future owner is smart and goes out and finds some top notch GM from the likes of the Dodgers, Rays or Braves and makes him president...just like the Dodgers did when they recruited Andrew Friedman away from TB, then the Sox can start hopefully getting on the right path to being a consistent top-tier team. -
Whole...as in a whole lot of s%*#!

This is the cancer which exists in this toxic White Sox losing culture. This is a LOSING front office void of any leadership, coaching, mentoring and guidance! This what happens when there is major apathy and carelessness from the owner. Jerry's lack of leadership and smart ownership decisions, consequently trickles down to KW and RH. The dysfunctional FO of KW/RH has failed miserably at every major baseball decision necessary to build a winning team. One of their many debacles was hiring this bush league manager Grifol and his entire inept coaching staff.

2023 Memorial Day - White Sox State of the Union
The Kids Can Play replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Hence why the Sox are 11 games under .500 in the worst division in baseball and the third worst record of 30 teams. Apparently this has been a prudent decision by Reinsdorf to keep Rick Hahn since he has been so consistent at losing. Only 4 teams have more losses than the White Sox since 2013. This blueprint in how Hahn has built this 26th ranked farm system, along with a severely flawed major league roster, which is void of any smart plate discipline or situational baseball fundamentals....assures the ongoing trainwreck of this dysfunctional organization. -
Good point and our manager who came from a worst organization than the Sox, where the Royals FO had no desire to hire Grifol to be the manager at KC and instead went to Tampa Bay for their next manager. Granted I know Matt Quatraro hasn't done well there yet, but he is working with even less talent than the White Sox. They can fire Grifol and his entire coaching staff and that won't solve the overall main problem, Until they fire Rick Hahn nothing will change. His entire front office, scouts and coaches from low A to the major league level need to be eliminated. The White Sox blueprint for building a winning baseball club is a embarrassing joke and trainwreck. It's obviously not even close to the winning blueprints of the Rays, Dodgers, Braves and Yankees to name a few.

You're damn right this has been going on for a good 10 years. In fact that decade is which Rick Hahn has been the GM responsible in: - The roster selection of all these dumb hitters with no plate discipline and lacking the fundamentals in playing smart baseball. - Hiring of all the loser managers and coaches between the minors and major league level, that don't teach, develop and demand the stronger plate discipline skills approach, along with a total lack of developing unselfish players who can execute smart team baseball - Hiring an extremely inept scouting dept that obviously can't determine how to find baseball prospects with sound fundamental baseball skills and smart IQ.

Since he never had to go to Charlotte due to the pandemic it might just serve him well and let him get his act back together. He is really looking bad on all his AB's for awhile now.

Let's break this down in even better perspective to exactly the seasons since 2013 through 2023, when Rick Hahn has been the General Manager, since his initial promotion in Oct. 26, 2012: TEAM W L W% 1 LAD 963 609 .613 2 NYY 889 683 .566 3 STL 872 698 .555 4 CLE 867 700 .553 5 HOU 862 707 .549 6 TB 847 726 .538 7 BOS 846 724 .539 8 ATL 824 744 .526 9 CHC 811 758 .517 10 MIL 805 766 .512 11 WAS 801 769 .510 12 TOT 797 774 .507 13 NYM 794 774 .505 14 SF 793 777 .505 15 SEA 789 781 .503 16 OAK 782 790 .497 17 LAA 771 800 .491 18 MIN 756 814 .482 19 PIT 752 815 .480 20 TEX 747 823 .476 21 ARI 733 837 .467 22 SD 731 839 .466 23 PHI 729 841 .464 24 KC 728 843 .463 25 COL 723 848 .460 26 CHW 722 849 .460 27 BAL 720 850 .459 28 DET 708 855 .453 29 CIN 707 863 .450 30 MIA 680 889 .433 Let's get the "accountability" perspective shown as Kenny Williams told us, that he and the organization stand for.

And that's a 17 hit, 12-3 White Sox Winner!

Another solid bullpen day of 3 relievers, 3 IP, 0 runs. 6-16 RISP .375 -
I know this was with the St. Louis Browns and not the White Sox, but a good example of the circus atmosphere under Veeck. August 19, 1951: Eddie Gaedel pinch-hits for St. Louis Browns as smallest batter in baseball!

I always thought with the good stuff Zack Burdi had, he would be a keeper. This was a great example of the Sox having poor coaching when it comes to developing pitchers.

Merkin hyping W-S CFer Terrell Tatum
The Kids Can Play replied to caulfield12's topic in FutureSox Board
That's due to the brilliance of genius Rick Hahn stud scouting dept. and coaching staff for our 26th ranked farm system! Keep them coming Rick! -
Hopefully the Sox can get more than 4 hits, 0 BB and not strike out 13 times making another stiff look like a Cy Young pitcher!

I get Giolito didn't have his best game, but my god, we let a loser pitcher have his best start ever and career high strikeouts. We had 4 hits, 0 walks, 13 K's. We are never going to get to 500 or win a division with pathetic numbers like that. Btw, Crochet has been struggling lately and maybe he should have been kept down at AAA, not only to work on stretching him out, but work with him to develop another pitch or two. Crochet has talent and potential and the Sox are clueless and ruining him. Bummer flat out sucks! When he is on the mound, he looks like a "Deer in Headlights!"

I realize this kid has been hitting good in May, and would be valuable since he can play 2B, RF and 3B. However even if we traded for him, is it worth giving up what little prospects we have, to get a guy to play second as an upgrade yes, but then we still haven't solved the Burger/Eloy dilemma.

I get the Madrigal pick was bad. The point I was making is why did the Sox pick Madrigal and not India? I went back and checked and India's overall numbers were so much better in most key stats. BA OBP SLG OPS HR RBI BB Madrigal .367 .428 .511 .939 3 34 16 India .350 .497 .717 .1214 21 52 60 India was third in the country with walks and 17th in HR's. Actually India was only two HR's behind Andrew Vaughn who has 23 and won the Golden Spikes award. I guess I am trying to illustrate with just one more example of why our farm system sucks. I get Madrigal played on a NCAA title team, but Florida was also one of the top baseball teams in 2018 and finished the final baseball rankings at #3. It's not like Hahn wouldn't have all types of data on all these top players. This all started because I saw the post of Madrigal being sent to AAA. We not only drafted the wrong player, but when he had some decent value, Hahn got fleeced in the Cubs trade for Craig Kimbrel. We still don't have a second baseman and we could have drafted Jonathon India instead at #4, as opposed to letting India go to #5 for the Reds. I realize this is just one pick in 2018 and they pick some 20 plus rounds, but if you are ignorant and miss it like in this example, then imo it's safe to say the Sox FO probably made more ignorant picks throughout the draft.

Past time to get Anderson out of the top of the order
The Kids Can Play replied to CentralChamps21's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Wow, talk about someone with levels of delusion! I guess you have never been to a Yankees or Phillies game. Btw, when you find that perfect fan base that never boos players when they play bad or deserve it, please let me know. Or maybe fans are booing Tim...because of his arrogant and delusional attitude and not backing it up! I don't see the fans booing Burger or Vaughn when they do bad. Oh that's right, those two and other more humble players on the Sox ARE NOT walking around with this over-inflated ego putting up lame numbers. Its great to talk the talk, but a player better be able to walk the talk too. I guess Tim didn't learn that valuable lesson when you're playing professional sports.
