Please don't encourage them.... Unless that's a request.- 8/27 GT: Sox v. Snakes @ 610CT
Currently scanning through the crowd during the injury warmup for Reylo. I have never seen a group of people so depressed in a non-election context.- 8/27 GT: Sox v. Snakes @ 610CT
Yeah they’ve already scored once tonight. time for the pitching and defense to hold it together for damage control- 8/26 Arizona @ Sox GT, 7:10
No, there was 1 bad inning on defense. 9 bad innings on offense.- Reese McGuire
Why? we can’t have anyone WALKING- "Project Birmingham": Montgomery, 12 other A-Ball players promoted to AA
I'll await additional instructional assignments between my game thread appearances.- "Project Birmingham": Montgomery, 12 other A-Ball players promoted to AA
...I notice I was "promoted" to Birmingham. Does this mean "yes?"- Eloy is dead. Again.
Yes.... those hurt- Second Tier
I would say the concept of positional flexibility isn't the problem. The problem is applying it to guys who don't have the tools to fit into the concept. You can't train a fish to climb a fucking tree and expect it to replace a monkey.- Guardians move to 3rd best MiLB system, Sox 26th
Maybe it was Boone. Actually, I think you're right. ...but I did remember Wasserman did come out of nowhere - fringe-ish prospect --> big league bullpen- Guardians move to 3rd best MiLB system, Sox 26th
In Wasserman's defense, he was a dark horse who came out of nowehere. I believe the big league team faced him in an intrasquad game and basically were forced to give him a chance.- 2023 Schedule Released
Do you wanna talk about hotels, or do you wanna win some ballgames?- Momentum or Big Tease?
...so... question answered?- Menechino is movable
I'm not sure which is worse. Option 1: no - the team (analytics department) isn't aware of these horrible and disturbingly inept offensive numbers Option 2: yes - the team is aware but isn't acting on it.- Kopech to IL, Martin up.
Yeah - the "option" is defined as sending someone down.- Kopech to IL, Martin up.
I think they can use him, but they can't send him back down. So the next time he's up, he's up "for good" for the season.- Guardians move to 3rd best MiLB system, Sox 26th
kind of nice to see the team climb out of the basement on this, basically entirely buoyed by Montgomery's ascent as a prospect. Hopefully Project Birmingham proves effective.- Kopech to IL, Martin up.
At least with Kopech there (seemingly) was a strategy to give him periodic rest for innings management anyways, so I am guessing it was somewhat of a no-brainer for that reason.- Benetti adding to his resume
As a side note, I would love to have Benetti and Brockmire call a game together. Benetti as the "straight man" setting up Brockmire would be a sight to behold.- Benetti adding to his resume
Huh. It's almost as if this organization tolerates mediocrity in its public-facing product out of some sense of loyalty. I hope it doesn't bleed over to the on-field product. That would be a shame.- Second Tier
That, and the fact that Vaughn never played OF tells me that he isn't an outfielder. I commend him for seizing the opportunity to break into the big leagues, but at some point the org should strive for something beyond a second-tier solution. - 8/27 GT: Sox v. Snakes @ 610CT
