  1. Someone should trip and push him off of a cliff
  2. I'm gonna miss Favre. I was never a fan of the Packers or the NFC but i always got enjoyment from watching him play (the Strahan play notwithstanding). He was a true warrior in terms of a football player. He always gave it his all and left everything on the field. he showed up and played throug all sorts of adversity (i'll always remember the Oakland game following his fathers death). An exemplary teammate for any young player. He was not the best ever, but i believe he was top 5 (anyone putting Bradshaw that high is a joke, but thats just my opinion). I hope Brett stays a part of the game somehow, his presence in the NFL will be missed. Good luck and thanks for the memories.

    PS3

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 06:56 PM) If you like condensed versions of games, you'll keep doing that. The X-Box is so inferior to the PS3 in terms of hardware it's not even funny. Ya its just a matter of the developers learning how to max out the potential of the system. naturally, it is going to take longer, but games are already much better than just a year ago. The blu-ray discs can hold so much more data, that eventually games are going to much bigger/longer/thorough/graphically impressive than anything a disc for an xbox 360 can possibly hold
  4. QUOTE(JuiceCruz16 @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 12:47 PM) Kenny Hall commits to Tennesee after the Kentucky game. Nice commit for Pearl, I know Duke coverted him big time. Any time a recruit opts for a team not named Duke it makes me happy
  5. BA's certainly getting a lot of PT to prove himself early on
  6. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 02:52 PM) Very true. Although I'm somewhat surprised moving Fields to 2nd wasn't talked about more, which means to me Fields is set in stone at playing 3rd base whether it's in Chicago or Charlotte. You'd think he'd be athletic enough to play second considering he was the quarterback at Oklahoma State, but he might not fit the scheme, anyways maybe we shouldn't come after him though, he's a man but he's not 40.
  7. QUOTE(rowand's rowdies @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 09:32 PM) The Group formerly known as the Rowand's Rowdies, now the Dirty Thirties, would like to add our thoughts into this. As far as Beast goes, this is a very easy diagnosis. He has NEVER BEEN DRUNK Plain and simple. It's like saying you don't like ice cream before you try it. Or that people that get into fights are pussies when you haven't been in one. If you haven't tried something (short of certain drugs), don't rip people for doing it. Alcohol is the cause, but also the solution to many of life's problems as the great Homer Simpson once said. College is not all about learning from books and professors. It's about learning about life. Learn about other people, who you like, who you don't. It's about eating ramen noodles and barely affording books and finding a way to go out to the bar. You are 19, you are young. If you think just because it's illegal until you are 21 it is wrong, you are wrong. How many kids under 21 go fight and die for the country? How many under 21 year olds are given credit cards to abuse? How many are given excessive loans? They can smoke cigarettes, which are, and many times are worse. You, sir, are the Donatello of the Turtles. You need to be more like Mike. If you try drinking and don't like it after a few times, be the designated dave. We all need one of them. And we will pay for your food when you drive us to Taco Bell on the way home. Peace. Pretty much what i've been meaning to say but have too lazy to type
  8. Panthers trade Jenkins to Jets for a 3rd and 5th Jets trade Vilma to Saints Bengals sign Dhani Jones, trade for Shaun Rogers (DET)
  9. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...mp;lid=tab2pos2 Bill Simmons article on emails he's gotten about saving the Sonics. Very interesting. It takes a while to read, but its worth it.
  10. But not a physical one...just where your consciousness is transported. Weird...
  11. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Feb 28, 2008 -> 04:42 PM) Who in the hell is Tom Kelly? Thats exactly what I said when I saw that deal
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 09:52 PM) Some of the worst reffing you'll ever see in the Duke/GT game. Even Mike Patrick has said 5 times Duke got away with a call. Duke has been getting the benefit of the doubt on calls for years. Its disgusting.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 04:16 PM) Clearly this is Anderson's fault. Somehow. How can it not be?
  14. QUOTE(JFields27 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 03:59 PM) I dont know if this is anywhere -- Moose signed back with the Panthers, interesting Didnt see that. That gives the Panthers a big target to distract teams from keying so heavily on Steve Smith now. If Colbert can live up to his potential, the Panthers could have a pretty decent offense next season.
  15. QUOTE(daa84 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 10:26 AM) premium looks quite a bit better imo....i mean either way you are watching on a computer, and not an HDTV, but my friends and i think its worth it..i dont think its free during ST but they may have a free game here and there for people to test out, so keep your eyes open....quality overall is way better than it was 5 years ago when i started using it, even on the regular mlbtv Thanks. I wonder i fthe quality would be enhanced if i watched it through my PS3/TV
  16. QUOTE(daa84 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 09:35 AM) First game thread of the year....i'll be watching on mlbtv By any chance is mlbtv free for ST? I'm interested in purchasing it this year but am not sure. Hows the quality? Also, whats the real difference b/w the regular and the premium.
  17. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Feb 26, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) But then again, other than Nuke, hi8is, maybe Tru or whitewashedin05', I doubt anyone here can out-drink me and I'll put a s***load of $$ on it. Damn I'm sounding like Pratt right now.. Me, Me, Me, Me, Me. I wish there was a way for me to take you up on that...i got quite the impressive "resume" in that department haha
  18. Ya, when all it would have taken was a minor league deal, i too am upset we didnt hang onto Wing. Ya, he doesnt have the upside he once did but he appears to finally be healthy again and might have become a valuable piece out of the pen.
  19. MVP 05 for PS2 is still the best baseball game ever made without a question. Anyways, PS3 owners, whatchya gonna get? 2K8 or The Show? I think im gonna go with The Show
  20. Beasley went for another 30/15 against Texas in the loss...he is just ridiculous
  21. QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 03:29 PM) Two of my roommates (and a couple of other friends that they play with) play magic and also drink. Then again, I ridicule my roommates mercilessly for playing magic (in a friendly way, just as they ridicule me for being from New Jersey). Im from NY, i ridicule the friends i have from Jersey as well, haha ...of course the irony of that is im probably moving to Hoboken this summer...
  22. Thundercats may be the best show i had growing up. I dont care how old i am now, i'm pumped they are making a movie. (although it sucks it has to be CGI). They should have made one with actually people ala the He-Man Masters o fthe Universe movie with Dolph Lundren. Imagine Michael Clarke Duncan as Panthro...haha
  23. QUOTE(JuiceCruz16 @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 01:44 PM) I wouldn't count out 'nova either at this point. He really wants to be a featured scorer in his freshman season to maximize his NBA stock after one year. 'Nova fits, but with Rose departing it seems like Memphis has the inside track for him at the moment. Scotty Hopson who backed out of his Miss. State commit intrigues me the most right now. There is some concern with his work ethic etc, but he is ultra skilled as well and out there to be swooped up. Ya UCONN's backcourt with Price, Dyson, Wiggins, Austrie and Beverly all returning plus the additions of Walker and Haralson wouldnt seem to be a great fit and he would probably lack the exposure at Seton Hall. 'Nova has Scotty Reynolds coming back so he wouldn tbe the premier scorer there. L'Ville may be his best bet to be the go to guy depending on whether CDR comes back next year or not i guess. And i was surprised about your assessment on Riek. From what little i've heard, is he would be at worse like a Thabeet of last year if he went to college for a year. And although unpolished, he was still a defensive presence last year.
  24. QUOTE(JuiceCruz16 @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 12:42 PM) I heard Evans was a early slight Louisville lean (after UNC did not offer which was his childhood favorite and very early favorite til they passed on him, due to grade issues and he seems to be 1 and done), but now he looks to be a strong Memphis lean. Riek will be able to enter the NBA draft, since he technically is a grad from last year and I hear he looks to be going that route. He is a project at best in my opinion, I'm not impressed with Riek at all. UCONN & Duke did pursue him hard, but it looks like NBA draft for him. Thanks for the info. I dont follow the recruiting process too closely during the current seasons
