  1. f***ing UCONN...they're so annoying. I was planning on heading into Manhattan tonight to check out the semis at the Garden but now that theyre gone i think im gonna pass. G'Town got lucky to win that game...no way do they make 17 threes against WV, especially at that rate (of course its unrealistic to think Hibbert will go scoreless again). It'll be interesting to see if Joe Alexander can continue his hot hand tonight. Should be a good one.
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 09:50 PM) Mark is not injured, and that has nothing to do with this. This has more to do with splitting up the kids which they have said for a few months now, and also splitting up two lefty pitchers. The kid who is working hard on similar pitches to Buerhle. The entire idea of rotation placement is about making sure you have the correct matchups, and the split the style of pitchers up. You want to make the batters uncomfortable. The easiest way to have comfort is to have Buerhle and then Danks who right now is Buerhle lite. To me the home opener is more of the honor, and that is why Buerhle gets to open the park up at home. Agreed. If i was a pitcher and it actually mattered to me, i'd much prefer/be more honored to pitch my home opener than the season opener (assuming of course the season opener was on the road)
  3. With Carlos Vasquez gone that clears a spot on the 40
  4. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23595533 This is almost unbelievable.
  5. I never really enjoyed smoking in college but the majority of the friends did and some still do. I really see less negatives with pot use than with alcohol use. One of the main reasons i think marijuana should be legal is so the government could tax the hell out of it and in turn make revenues for the country. It would also allow them to control the potency, the distribution, and some of the crime associated with it.
  6. QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 08:56 AM) If people are sick of Crede, do they by extension have to be sick of the Rally Crede? No, the rally Crede is a separate entity and as such is not subject to negative feelings towards its namesake.
  7. Could it possibly be Mikhail? We dont know that hes actually dead...although i dont think Locke would have to "sit down to hear that"
  8. QUOTE(Fotop @ Mar 11, 2008 -> 08:10 AM) Don't know how you can say "if L'Ville can keep Macalarney from going off they should control that game." Harangody dropped 40 on L'Ville last time they played. Sure they shut down ND's 3 pt shooting w/an extended zone (and they consistently play this way because Pitino hates giving up the three), but I think they'd def. pay more attention to the big guy the 2nd time around (considering ND will probably perform better vs. the press in a 2nd look at it). One would think the guards would get some better looks in that scenario... Because Luke's gonna get his 25-30 points, its a given. Thats why i'm saying they need to stop Macalarney. ND relies on those two quite heavily, and naturally and not surprisingly they are at their best and very dangerous when Gody's getting his down low and Mcalarney is raining threes. If they can reel him in from the outside and just deal with whatever Harangody does, they should be fine. Thats what i was getting at.
  9. I'm thinkin this is gonna be a UCONN-L'Ville battle for the title with the winner grabbing a 3 seed in the tourney. Hopefully UCONN can continue their momentum after their demolishing of Cincy the other day. The Huskies fans always travel extremely well to the Garden for this and they should have beaten G'Town in DC earlier in the year. Also, ND is so streaky, if L'Ville can just keep Mcalareny from going off they should control that game. (I'm assuming the top 4 advance, although Pitt could actually give L'Ville a game, IMO.)
  10. QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 7, 2008 -> 12:20 PM) What if Ben's man on the boat is Sayid? We saw him working for him in the flash forward. Just an isolated theory. Besides Juliet in the bikini, I couldn't take my eye's of that therapists mole. Thought that was the island at first. It cant be. Ben said he had a man on the boat before Sayid ever knew there was even a chopper there to get to a boat.
  11. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 7, 2008 -> 01:33 PM) I'm going to start another Crede thread tonight Thank God...i was beginning to think people were forgetting about him
  12. Couple new ones from yesterday and today
  13. Michael has to be the guy on the boat...Widmore owning the boat was no surprise...agreed episode was kinda blah but it set things up for the next two weeks so i'm fine with it.
  14. St. Joe's with a huge win last night. If they can make the final of the A-10 tourney they definitely have an argument.
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 7, 2008 -> 01:15 AM) Also, 7'8 Kenny George had 19 and 11 and UNC Asheville will play Winthrop for a Tourney bid Saturday, and USC survived a must win game against Cal in OT at the Galen Center. I'm really hoping UNC-Asheville and Alabama State make the tourney for simple reasons. I really wanna see Kenny George b/c he's 7'8" and i really want to hear the commentators have to talk about Chief Kickingstallion-Sims for the name alone.
  16. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 02:28 PM) 2k8 is the s***. I don't see how a better game could be made. I like 2K8 but i just feel 2K7 was a better, more fun game. In 2K8, layups and "easy" shots are missed waaayyy too often. Yes i know there are sliders but i feel 2K7 was more realistic. Also, the controls of players was easier in my opinion. It was easier to get to the hole and get around guys, now if you move slightly another way the guy like does a pause/stutter/reverse of direction. Graphically yes its better...but as far as gameplay, i just feel 2K7 was slightly better.
  17. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 12:16 AM) followed ever so closely by NBA 2k7. Fixed.
  18. BA had a HR and 2 RBI yesterday by the way
  19. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Mar 5, 2008 -> 02:50 PM) How would you know who's gay and who isn't? And how would you know who's a woman and who's not? ^^^^Taylor Hanson
  20. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 5, 2008 -> 09:17 AM) Unless we beat Indiana and Illinois this week, both on the road, and then pull off an upset against MSU in the BTT, we're out. And if the Big Ten has 6 teams in the tournament (such as the post before mine suggests), something is seriously wrong. You're probably right about Minnesota, thats probably a stretch. I forgot about Wisconsin for some reason so i didnt realize i was giving them 6. I do believe after their win last night that Ohio State should get in however.
  21. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 5, 2008 -> 04:13 AM) So, in your expert opinion, which of these bubble teams are "in" and which are "out"? Ohio State IN New Mexico IN Virginia Tech OUT Syracuse OUT Maryland IN Clemson IN Kentucky OUT Texas A&M IN Mississippi OUT W. Kentucky IN Houston IN Florida IN S. Illinois OUT St Joseph's OUT Dayton OUT Creighton OUT Pittsburgh IN Seton Hall OUT Kansas St. IN Baylor OUT Oklahoma IN Nebraska OUT San Diego St. OUT Miami FL IN UMass OUT Rhode Island IN USC IN Arizona St. IN Arizona IN Arkansas OUT Minnesota IN Wright St. OUT Cleveland St. OUT Valparaiso OUT Illinois-Chicago OUT Nevada IN Utah St. OUT
  22. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 01:33 PM) Just got MLB 2k8 first impression is that it totally sucks. Thats kinda what i expected. I think im gonna pick up The Show after work.
