QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 10:25 AM) Levi's should be the only blue jeans made, period. I agree, but I don't have too much against Lee's. They are a dang close second. But with Levi's being as good as they are, there is very little reason for any others.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 10:18 AM) I WILL NOT BE IGNORED!!!! Huh? What was that?

Where the hell is that "ignore" function???

In case anybody here would be interested, I've launched a website to go with my print fanzine. The website is: SONIC RUIN HOMEPAGE Click on the "Issues" tab and that will take you to a page that shows the issues I have done. Click on the issue and you can read the reviews that appeared in them. Eventually, starting with issue 4, there will also be a partial version of the print 'zine on site. Reviews will only be on the website though.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Feb 7, 2008 -> 09:51 AM) I did like the kid in the car. I also like the rocker chick on the Harley. She is this year's Gina Glockson. But with more talent. Glockson seemed awful fake to me. Even if she was in a local "rock" band, she just seemed like a big put-on.

I'm hoping the kid who lives in his car goes pretty far. Doubt it, but I'm hoping he does.

Uh-huh! I still can't believe they let it on TV.

My wife is watching Rachel Ray on TV right now. I swear to god I want a sound bite of this show!!! Seriously, she just said "I can't keep my hands off the sausage"! Call me immature, but I busted my gut laughing at that!!!

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 10:58 AM) Why does the history of football begin with the Superbowl? Oooo, good question!!!

QUOTE(shipps @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 10:34 AM) Ummm. You didnt just go with the see-food joke did you? Thank you.

Being as far north as you can be, and towards the west, I told my bosses this morning to not expect me here tomorrow. I'll be bringing my work home with me and planning to work from home tomorrow. I've battled the snow enough between last year and this year, I'm taking a break tomorrow.

Nothing touches Hackney's for burgers for my taste buds.

Well stats and results do have to come into play to some degree. I mean, if I was a Vikings fanatic and I insisted that the '85 Vikings were the best team ever, that would be wrong. I can say my favorite team is the '85 Vikings because I loved everything about them, but they were not the best team.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 10:02 AM) It helps forget. Uh-oh...somebody is taking a certain football game a little too hard.

I just try and eat decent. I won't eat in such a way that will keep me from enjoying life. I like soda, a lot. So I limit myself to 1 can a day and many days I don't have any. But I won't keep myself from enjoying it. I LOVE popcorn, so I do popcorn once a week. REAL popcorn, not that microwave crap, or movie theater or bagged popcorn. REAL stuff. I also won't eat at McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, whatever. If I need fast food, or must resort to it, I go to a local joint (Tommy's for a Gyro last night). In the end, I am in pretty good health (my cholesterol is outstanding according to my doc). Just don't be a pig is my rule to myself, and try and keep moving to some degree.

2007 Soxtalk Awards - Drinking Buddy Award

No, no, not a growler. I'm talking BIG bottle. BIGGER than a growler. The bottle is like 3' tall. -
QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Feb 4, 2008 -> 11:00 AM) While I do like Chipotle, I feel the workers are given cash for the least amount of meat they put on the burrito. Sometimes it is a joke. But I do like the food. Also, if anyone has been to any of the Tacos El Norte restaurants in the NW burbs, it is worth it. Best Tacos Ever!!! La Rosita grocery and taqueria in Crystal Lake is by far and away the most amazing taco in the world. It has to be the Crystal Lake store. I've been to others and they don't do them as well. Corn tortilla, cilantro, onion, steak. Amazing, and all of the parts are perfectly done.

So...did Pratt go into hiding or did he do something else drastic???

"Who would you rather be?"

Well, for last night and today I will go with Eli Manning. Then tomorrow (or the day after) I'm going to go back to being Tiger Woods. No way in hell I would want to be Brady at this moment. -
I could have stayed home today...but there is no way I was going to be paid for it unless I used a vacation day. But I kind of have to be here, so I do what I can to be here.

Chris Berman goes apesh**

QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 09:39 AM) ...there's a funny part to Lewis Black?.... I love Lewis Black. Granted, he's never been nominated for a "Soxtalk Funniest Poster" award...but I like him. -

I have decreased, but have not quit. Actually next weekend is my neighbors annual beerfest. You know those HUGE bottles that some breweries make? I mean the ones that it takes like 3 or 4 people to hold? He has one of those coming in for the beerfest. How amazing is his beerfest exactly? How many "connections" does he have now? It's a bottle of Samiclaus that is coming in. -

New question!!! Would you rather be Tom Brady or the guy swinging from the nutsack of Tom Brady (and the rest of the Patriots for that matter)? -

Who said "and you guys thought I was a pain in the ass"? I wonder if that person was speaking of Berman or of the people Berman was complaining about. With his hand gestures and everything though, I get the feeling he had been watching a lot of Lewis Black, he just forgot the "funny" part of Black.
