You don't get much whiter than I. I'm mostly Norwegian with some Swedish and German thrown in. Blond(ish) hair (before going bald) and blue eyes.

Speculation abounds that the Georgian kids actually found this costume by a creek: Link to the costume: http://www.thehorrordome.com/HDSHOPPINGPRO...quatchLARGE.htm

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 09:00 PM) You never had to read One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich in high school world lit?? It's seriously one of the best books I've ever read. It won't have the artistic timelessness of the Theme From Shaft or Bad Santa, I'll grant you. I think Solzhenitsyn also only won one Nobel Prize. I forget, how many did Bernie and Issaic nab again? "High School World Lit"??? You kidding? I don't even think my school had that class, and if it did and wasn't required, there is no way in Hell I would have taken such a class.

Was Danks reading the message board while pitching? I would blame Danks then, not griffey17.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 12:11 PM) Be that as it may, he's still not famous enough. I agree. I have no idea who the guy is/was. Not that it means much, especially if he was all about politics.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 09:51 AM) They are all terrible. Interference galore. I've tried a few. Ultimately, its better to buy a new car stereo that has an AUX input. Then, you can plug your iPod directly into it. If you want to charge it too, you can buy chargers for iPods that have an AUX out, so you can have the best of both worlds. I use a Monster, have for a few years now. I paid $15 for it from eBay, and it has a charger on it. Ultimately that was A LOT cheaper than buying a car stereo with an aux input. Some cars have preamps that only work with their speakers, so you need to buy new speakers also when you replace the head unit. Or so I have been told.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 08:23 AM) Thats the first and only thing that gets me about this whole sick situation. It was a total random attack, and its scary to think that someone on a plane, bus, train, standing next to you in line at mcdonalds, etc. could just unload on you unsuspectingly. And to think that this one guy with a knife was able to hold off 37 others by fear alone, its just scary to think about But what he is saying isn't the fact that the guy sitting next to you could snap, but in all actuality YOU could be the one to snap. How often do we hear abotu these wonderful people who nobody would ever expect to being a loon actually flipping and killing people? None of us really no each other, but even worse, none of us really know ourselves.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 10:51 AM) The whole thing is just ridiculous. Who really gives a damn what the #1 movie is on IMDB. But I will say, is that while I loved the Dark Knight there can't be anyone that really believes that is the greatest movie of all time. Why not?
-
Wait...so you leave early for the things that cost a lot of money and are live and stand a chance of "anything can happen"???
-
Critic, you actually stuck around for the ending of the movie!?! In your world I would think that should give the movie an instant 9 out of 10 stars!!!

QUOTE (ChiSox35 @ Jul 26, 2008 -> 06:12 PM) GNR had a cover song on the Spaghetti Incident, I don't care about you (f*** you). Originally done by Fear I believe. Swift and to the point. I almost put the original Fear version down here yesterday. The Fear version is a million times better than the GnR. On my last day of a job I had brought in a stereo and walked out with "F*ck You" by DOA playing full volume. It was a thing of beauty.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 01:41 PM) Not sure about that. Yeah...I lied...the town sucks. We do have the best friggin' Mexican restaurants in the world though. The rest of the food is crap though. -
QUOTE (Texsox @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 07:21 AM) I thought their bacon pizza (not Canadian) was very good. But that was 15 years ago and in Schaumburg. Things change. Depends on who is running your franchise. The one by me used to be just O.K.. Now there is a new owner of the franchise and the pizza on a few of the recent trips has been VERY good.

Josh Hamilton Presents the 2008 Home Run Derby

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 14, 2008 -> 09:17 PM) This announcing is beyond bad. I would rather listen to Ron Santo talk about footwear. Oh, I don't know, Joe Morgan going on and on about how the most impressive thing about Hamilton is that he was off for 3 years and came back able to hit major league pitching. "All of that other stuff is nice...but what is really impressive about what Josh did is...". Joe Morgan, a man completely out of touch with reality. -

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 06:51 PM) Some of you may be interested in browsing this website. http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/popularnames.cgi You're not cool unless your name is in the 100's. Huh...my name has become less and less popular as the years go by since I was born. That's not saying much for my personality, is it? I mean, I could very well be the reason for it becoming so un-desirable. When I was born it was the 66th most popular name. Now it ranks at 450. I must REALLY suck. -
QUOTE (almagest @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 02:02 PM) ...Until you said it. Hahaha! Soxtalk is not maturing at all! Now let's see some gf/wife pics plz. No, I was making an observation. I wasn't saying anything about anybodies taste in women.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 2, 2008 -> 05:47 PM) The Originator died today of heart failure following complications from a massive stroke. Killer Bo video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6F1Mk6U5zVY I love that the only person in the audience getting into it is a white guy with a red afro. That one guy was the pnly cool person in that building (next to Bo and his band).

QUOTE (juddling @ Jun 27, 2008 -> 01:45 PM) Maybe it's just me but i hate when women like this have to stand in the same pose in every pic while trying to look natural. It's like the Paris Hilton head tilt. Not sure why it annoys me so but it does. I was trying to figure out how to say that, but you didn't it perfectly. It's like her head is photoshopped into all of these pictures. I must say though, Soxtalk is maturing, and I am proud of it. Nobody has done the ol' "yeah, you guys would kill for a chick that looks like this" or "lets see your (girlfriend or wife) yet.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 11:01 AM) I hated the first FF film so much that I have so far avoided seeing FF2 because the Surfer is probably my all-time favorite Marvel character and I don't want to see how badly they massacred him. Next to the 2005 crapfest, the 1994 Oley Sassone/Roger Corman never officially released version looks like a masterpiece. Hellboy II looks like it's going to be really good based on the trailer. They actually get him pretty much perfect. Surfer works incredibly well in the movie.

Always loved Stan and his work. The guy is responsible for so many classic modern monsters. http://www.variety.com/VR1117987531.html

Uh, when I was at the game a few weeks ago they played "Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson for Thome. Critic and I were even laughing about the idea of Thome picking that song. I could also swear that they played "Enter Sandman" for Konerko. Maybe that was in years past?

Time to make some friends. Right now the only commercials that really get under my skin are the terrible "sign" commercials the Sox are running.

Is it open!?! I've been axiously awaiting this for a little bit now...checking everyday to see if it was open yet! I'm on my way. I might never walk away from a computer again.
