  1. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 01:40 PM) the obvious thing would be for steve and garry to reunite. on a good station in the afternoons they would get decent ratings. But from what I understand of it all, Gary would probably say "when Hell freezes over I might consider teaming up with that guy again". From what I always heard, Gary never really liked Dahl. With as much silence as there was on Steve's show, I would bet the only way anybody actually noticed his being gone was that there were voices on the radio during his time slot.
  2. The original fan has left us all. Not sure if many here know Forry, but if you do, you know how HUGE of a blow this is to fandom. The bit about him having no kids could not be further from the truth. He may not have had any biologically, but there are MILLIONS of us Monster Kids out there that he helped to create. RIP Uncle Forry.
  3. I never liked Marriotti,so I never read him, therefore I can't possibly miss him. I can say I don't miss the silly threads tearing into him every other day. You know the threads, the ones where everybody wrote in complaining about him and then Tex steps in and makes a comment about how Jay says the same things everybody here does, but when he does it is b.s.. Remember those? Been a long time since that has happened. Wait...what was that on page 1 of this thread??? North? I am thrilled I don't have to every so often stumble onto that voice anymore! I like M&H a lot. Well, mostly Mulley. Now if there was someway of getting rid of Murphy...
  4. Hey, the man has a mission in life Critic, just let him preach.
  5. Guinness is crap. This is the stuff if you need a stout: One of the greatest beers ever made.
  6. I should probably admit though that I am 38 so was obviously NOT into Sabbath during their initial run. But as a 10 year old kid in 1980 I was obsessed with Ozzy. The first two solo albums, IMO, are still two of the finest pieces of music ever recorded. They were so much more serious than anything else he ever did after them. There was nothing "jokey" at all. The music was brilliant, the lyrics strong, and the whole image worked perfectly. Everything that followed Randy's death was an imitation of what had come before.
  7. Ozzy Osbourne died in a plane crash back on March 19th, 1982 with his brilliant guitarist Randy Rhoads. I have no idea who this twat that has replaced him since then is, but he sucks and ruined a wonderful name.
  8. QUOTE (The Critic @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 02:44 PM) Excellent callback to a very goofy thread. What thread?
  9. Ugh. Grown men who wear Hockey jersey's look silly.
  10. QUOTE (ScottPodRulez22 @ Nov 29, 2008 -> 05:58 PM) True The person below me uses AT&T for their cell phone service. False. The person below me likes cross dressing and monkeys.
  11. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Nov 28, 2008 -> 10:53 PM) False, it was in a motel with a married woman. The person below me loves peanut butter. False, but I do like it. The person below me doesn't give a rats-ass about politics but is afraid to admit it.
  12. Off from the real job, but doing a bunch of real job related stuff. But I will be at home and out and about. It will be a nice day though.
  13. False. The person below me is jealous of Juddling for his "true" comment.

I always tip my pizza delivery guy. Anybody who doesn't tip them is a shmuck.
  15. That You Tube "Play arrow" is almost perfectly placed.
  16. I saw a few minutes of that Rosie O'Donnell variety show. It's been a looooong time since I have cursed the invention of the TV that much. Eh, but for my blatant stupidity of not turning off the TV faster, I guess I deserved that. Idiot.
  17. True. The person below me enjoys tongue on their taco's.
  18. The new Christmas single from Cyndi Lauper and The Hives: I adore Cyndi and I like The Hives, so this song was destined to be cool. But this is just all sorts of cool that it is silly! Cyndi's voice is amazing on this track (as usual).
  19. QUOTE (The Critic @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 08:27 PM) When I was young, I was all about the blondes. But I eventually came to prefer brunettes, and I still do now. Kiss ass.
  20. QUOTE (BearSox @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 08:17 PM) It depends on their body... Unusual reply.

QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 08:16 PM) I would. At least a few bucks. Fair enough. I guess I never considered it in a place like Culvers. That type of place is such a gray area, IMO.
  22. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) I've been seeing some about Ames (there's some pretty good ones, mainly because of all of the Manhattan Project work being done at ISU).....what are some of the best about Chicago? The biggest is obviously O'Leary's cow.

QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 08:03 PM) If it was brought to you, yes. So you are supposed to tip at a Culvers??? That is the exact same situation as there.

What about the restaurant where you walk in, order at a counter, then go sit down. A waitress then brings your food out to you. You are responsible for your own drinks and everything other than the waitress bringing you your food. Do you tip there? If you say "yes", then do you tip at a Culvers? I'm asking because everybody I work with tips at this place (it is NOT a Culvers) and I am still not sure if you should.
