Kellerman's brother murdered by boxer
Kid Gleason replied to aboz56's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Yeah, spur of the moment that in the very same post he said he would pay for saying it. Umm, so just how much off the cuff was it? It was said knowing full well he would get the reaction. Sympathies to Max Kellerman and family. -
I personally never understood the blanket "Cub fans are like this" and "Red Sox fans are like that" mentality, and it is one of the many reasons sports fans can disgust me. Lord, and people wonder why people fight over race and religion, when I have seen people actually admit to not being friends with somebody due to the fanship they hold for a team. We do all understand that this is a GAME played by really rich people, and what happens if these teams win or lose will effect your life in no way shape or form two days after the season ends, other than trying to figure out how to make a good thread on this (or other boards like this)...right? ***the two day note is because the day after a WS title or whatever I expect people to still be either drunk, hung-over, or busy looting, pillaging and plundering their fine city in the name of "good sportsmanship"***

My parents took me out of school early one day while I was in 3rd grade to go see Superman: The Movie and to this day it stands as one of the best days of my life. Thanks Chris, you rocked!

But we as Sox fans have been saying that our biggest problem was that we were beaten up by injury. The Cubs also were torn apart by the injury bug, but they actually had guys stepping it up all damn year, unlike our side. The best thing the Cubs can do right now is get out there and be with the fans, IMO. That was a smart move by the team to be accessible to the fans. Can't stand the team, and am glad they are not going any further, but hats off to them for being in touch with the fans and hanging with them.

But one thing is for sure: Sosa went from the star and ruler of the city, to the most disliked person in this city in record breaking time.

With the way their offense has been, they are officially done with this game, and this year.

FOD was popular with teens and such looking to be "daring" or whatever you want to call it. But you would NEVER find that stuff being shown in public locations. It does say A LOT about things over there, both about what we have done to them, and also what some of the society is about over there. There was a lot of death and destruction within Nazi Germany, but when the people found out about the atrocities being commited, the nation was disgusted and ashamed. Such viewings would never have happened. I understand these people have had war all of their lives, but there is very little humanity there if this is entertainment for a nation.

Basically, I am a HUGE Brian Baker fan, and I find that his worst stuff has been Bad Religion, as he is not doing what he was best at. With Junkyard, he got to really show how good he could be, and they were an incredible live band. With The Meatmen, they made me laugh, and I always liked "Punk-O-Rama" and "Kisses In The Sunset". I just don't like BR, and to have a favorite guitarist in there, being sub-par (IMO, of course) kind of hurts.

Listening to Bad Religion makes me appreciate Dag Nasty/Minor Threat/Junkyard/Doggie Style/The Meatmen that much more.

Well, I think this is a reason to go out and buy boxes and boxes and boxes of Twinkees!!! I mean, it is going to a good cause, right? The Twinkee is as American as it gets pretty much, so help out your fellow American and show your American pride!!! BUY TWINKEES!!! I love them Zingers though, and that is what I usually will buy when in the mood for fake pastries. But that boils down to a love of The Peanuts and the strawberry cocoanut thingy.

I'm an odd one, I MUCH prefer the first Clash album to "London Calling", and find much on it to be a little boring at time. The first album though (and oddly enough I speak of the US version, mainly due to "Jail Guitar Doors" being on it) is pure energy! But the best thing I have bought this year, and in all reality, my entire life, is the new Faces boxset "Five Guys Walk Into A Bar...". It is the ultimate in RnR and nothing touches it!

Singer Cat Stevens Makes terrorist watch list
Kid Gleason replied to LowerCaseRepublican's topic in SLaM
I love Yusuf AND Cat, and this is sooooooo wrong. That man has done so much for people, that if anything, he should be given free reign to the entire globe. Few people actually seem to care as much as he does. Damn shame. -
Let me guess...NCor has!!!

The Twins clinched the division the night Torri Hunter ran down Burke. Our passion was gone, and the Twins became ten-fold. But yeah, it is disturbing that they will clinch before anybody else. But I haven't ever seen the Sox fall apart like they have this year. Heartbreaking to say the least.

If it's either Konerko or ElCaballo that has to go
Kid Gleason replied to Wanne's topic in Pale Hose Talk
So when people want to be whitty they can stop calling me "Carlos", since it is NOT "Carl" in Spanish? Thank you. I will take Konerko. He drives me batty, but Lee does it more. He likes to swing for the fences WAY too much on first pitches. So does Paul, but not as much, or so it seems. -
Bruno Ganz is a great actor, and I would LOVE to see him in this film! It sounds like a great film. Germany wonders why it can't escape Hitler? Sheesh, should we ask them why so many people outside of the US associate Al Capone with Chicago? I think Hitler did a little more "damage" than Capone.

I used to be the main reviewer for: www.sexgoremutants.co.uk And still have a ton of stuff I need to write for them. I have also been published in Deep Red magazine and Firelight Shocks. I have respect for anybody that wants to get into that line of journalism type or writing, as I can say it takes A LOT of skill to actually be good at it. Any yahoo can write it, but few and far between can actually make it good. Good luck to you Yoda!!!

Steffani's.

And according to Yahoo news, security was called a few times. You would think that is these guys were any good at their jobs, they would have started throwing something like...oh...I don't know...BASEBALLS!!! They could have actually HIT the target, and later claimed they were just handing out souveniers.

I'm at work, is this a safe link to click at work???

That's why I drive a PT Cruiser. No other car says "RnR" quite like it. Yes, fuzzy dice and all. Steff, ya need to specify types and years. Yes, I agree then, they don't seem to need a new car.

Man, I get that a lot around here whenever asking for video files. BTW Crit, got my hard drive over the weekend! CD's of a certain band shall be done soon and heading out soon!

...my Mom has a Lexus, and I can tell you, it is a 10+ year old Lexus from when things were going well for my parents. Since then, the p's have divorced, I make more than them both (trust me, that ain't much), Mom has had a liver transplant (of which the meds are expensive as hell), and times ain't all that good. Mom could use a new car, but she drives a Lexus, so she must be doing O.K. Don't judge a person on one material possession you might see.

So...the two sides with power (in one way shape or form) don't want Russia to remain as it is? So, in other words, those folk are f***ed in one way shape or form?
