Argh, I got the name goofed: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/rate_results/1549/16807/ "Pere Jacques" is the name and it is a Belgian Strong/Dubble. Wonderful stuff I could never recommend highly enough. I have two bottle hiding in my beer cellar right now, keeping company with a 750 of St. Bernardus 12, 750 of La Trappe Quad, 750 of Westmalle Triple, some Gulden Drak, some of my cousins brew including a few IPA's and a Belgian. Then there is my beer fridge stocked full of happy stuff.

Wow, never heard of Bit or Lime. I guess now would be the wrong time to jump onto that train. No biggie, my buddy uses Netflix much like most people use those sites. You should see the size of his DVD collection!!!

I'm no barbarian, I'm doing the 12 if I am going out. The 8 will suffice if they can't get ahold of the 12. I have heard though that they do a triple at the Abbey that they don't let out to the public at all. THAT would be the main choice though. Welcome to soxtalk!!! Cool to see Westy was your reason to post! I would actually be happy with a few of the Trappist Ales, and or Abbel Ales if they couldn't get ahold of the Westvleteren. I would even take that limited Goose Island, Jene whatever. That is some TASTY stuff, and a dang shame it is a limited. Though it is making me NOT buy up all of the Goose Demolition.

This make me think of Dennis Miller. What was it he said? "What kind of loser are you if you can't get laid once they come up with a cure for AIDS???". LOL! It's a great routine, and oh so very true! Of course, his bit was from around '88, so it packed more intensity behind it.

Yeah, but they might try and get you on a technicality and tell you "that is both your food and liquid and you get no more, so shut up and die already!" and if there is no food in the afterlife, you would be really upset.

Well, I just watched The Day After Tomorrow the other night, so after seeing that I would say to hang onto your books as they might come in REAL handy in the event of the next ice age. They saved Donnie Darko's life after all, so they should work out for you!

I won't pay mine. They were like a 1/2 hour late. I sure am not paying for them. Heck, it's almost cheaper to just buy the dang movies anyways.

Of course though, you have to keep in mind that you will get none of the beers you might choose. They don't grant alcohol or tobaccoto the condemned, even in the end. So, as you go to commit that crime tonight, keep that in mind. No booze or smokes on your way to meet your maker.

WAR OF THE WORLDS FANS CAN ALSO CHECK OUT THE UPCOMING FILM FROM PENDRAGON FILMS WHICH IS A FAITHFUL ADAPTATION!!! Though the trailer does make it look like a Hallmark film with stilted acting, but some of us are holding out hope. http://www.pendragonpictures.com/WOTWKEY.html

Anyone listen to any Online Radio Stations?
Kid Gleason replied to Wise Master Buehrle's topic in SLaM
I have two: Kaiju Radio: http://www.kaijuonline.com/kaiju2/ - Basically it's Godzilla soundtracks, and other Japanese Giant Monster soundtracks. OTR Now: http://www.otrlive.com/ - Which is an Old Time Radio streaming station. Yeah...I'm a geek. But if I want to hear music I love, I use things called CD's. I can't afford all of the Kaiju soundtracks I would love to get, and it is not easy to find them online. There is also too much OTR out there to collect as fast as I would like, so I enjoy listening as the grandparents once did, though through a computer instead of a radio. -
Wait...is this the same kid that was defending Jackson on the TV special he did? That kid was a cancer survivor also.

So that lands three deaths on the 8th? Geez, that's only supposed to be in a short period of time, not spanning 24 friggin' years!!!

I guess the holidays bring out the best in people. :banghead

12/8/84 Razzle from Hanoi Rocks was killed. 12/8/04 Dimebag was killed. TERRIBLE day for music. RIP Dimebag. Was never a fan, but your influence was MASSIVE and something to respect. Can't help but feel REALLY bad for Vinnie. To think of sitting on stage and watching your brother be shot dead on stage like that. In a band, you form a strong bond with the band members of things are right, and then to imagine how strong that bond must have been between those two! Brother in real life, and bandwise.

I planned my life out pretty well I thought also. But then things happened to people around me causing me to rearrange my plans. I now sit someplace I never expected to be, but at the same time I can't imagine myself being any happier. I do congratulate you on standing up for yourself to the jock. But someday, that jock will a much better fighter, and as long as you are willing to be on the recieving end of an ass-kicking, then keep fighting. I mostly take my hat off to you though for telling him you guys had it out, and it was done as far as you were concerned. It's a shame that some people can't clear thier heads after time.

Obviously it is NOT easier, I'm just saying that you need respect for every profession that is out there, but many find it easier to look down at the blue collar crowd. Lawyers are needed due to, in many cases, people being greedy bastards. THe profession is needed, to stop people from killing each other. In an ideal world though, a lawyer would NOT be needed. One of my favorite people in the past few years was a lawyer who got me out of a lawsuit that was 100% greed. I loved her.

Tell ya what, come back here once you have reached 35 and life has gone EXACTLY as you have planned, and then get snotty. But until you have actually been in the working force of the world, and you have seen the cards life has dealt you, don't be an ass. Also, never look down at the people working blue collar. If all of these construction workers, waiters, roofers (yeah, find the balls to do THAT job), or any other job that you wish to look down, just stopped, the friggin' world would all but explode. The world can survive without corporate lawyers if it could learn to talk to each other again, but it can't survive without concrete workers, steel workers, etc. I myself will do whatever job needs to be done that will help my family, as long as it isn't degrading or illegal. I had my problems with jock in highschool more than most. It comes with being a longhaired freak who wore spikes and jewelry at a time when Punk was NOT cool. But most of those people changed once they got into the real world, and many of them are friends now.

Aren't they just reporting the facts? He was killed by friendly fire. I don't think anybody is exploiting the fact, but rather letting people know what happened. It was a major story, as well as it should have been, and I am sure many people would want to know this. True that we don't know of every friendly fire incident, but this was a case where more people than just the friends and family knew the person. If this was an idol of yours, wouldn't you like to know the exact situation? It will be wrong if the media now tries taking away from what he did or was doing over there, but from what I read, it is placing a little bit more of a human side to the story. I think Tillman, from what I have read about him, would not mind people knowing he was a person, and not some deity or martyr.

Yes, but in small doses. I wouldn't buy a HUGE carton of the stuff, but I do like it, and I especially like Egg Nog shakes.

In Flames "Whoracle" was their highpoint. They have since become redundant. Their cover of "Everything Counts" is one of the greatest covers ever done.

That new release by those guys is incredible!!!

I did a little look around and see that the Jaret thing is still floating and that they are asking silly money. I take it these 21 pages are all rumours since I have heard nothing of interest over the past few days. Anybody else get the feeling, don't know why, that we will be taking pretty much the same team onto the field come opening day as we had at the end of last year? I am not expecting anything HUGE to happen, as I really don't know if those options are out there.

I think it is O.K. to see the boards they post at, but I wouldn't go into checking all that they write. We all know that many people act a little different on boards, so I would never use that as a basis on what my kids are like. I don't plan to let my daughter find out about message boards for MANY years to come! I know my wife will read some of the stuff I have posted on certain boards. She reads my posts on the Gretsch Guitar boards, and my main music site. But I really have nothing to hide from her. Though she did ask me why I had downloaded the Madonna Like a Virgin video. Heh, that was an odd explanantion. I was also hammered when trying to explain it. But in the end I think seeing where anybody hits is O.K., but what the involvement is can be a little sketchy. But they are your kids, the line is hooked up to YOUR house, and if any really bad content is coming in, you have a right to know, as you could be liable. Make any sense?

No, I haven't. But then again, I haven't been to the West Coast since I was a kid. Since she doesn't teach school, I don't think I had a chance back then.
