  1. Yup, just turned off the TV. Anybody else dislike Alou as much as Sosa? Something about that smile on that guys face that just gets WAY under my skin. He seems like a pompous ass.
  2. Did we step into an alternate universe and the Sox are in the play-offs?
  3. That's just tied though. Redman had better step it up, or they had better just f*** it and throw Beckett in there. Good thing though is that when Wood is hitting, that means the rest of the team ain't really doing s***, from what I have seen. He steps up his hitting when nobody else will. I think.
  4. f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f*** ***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f **f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f* *f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***f***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
  5. Last night I put a movie on while I did my workout instead of watching the game. When I turned the game back on the Fish had gained those 8 runs. I think I'm going to go watch a movie...
  6. Man, I'm still scared s***less though. Bottom of the second, and it is still 3-0. I need it to be like 8-0 and I might sit still. Gotta get the kids to bed now though so they don't hear me screaming like a banshee at about 9:30, no matter what the outcome.
  7. You lured me into a Cubs board!!!!!!!!!! What next, animal porn??????? Sorry!!! But I found it quite funny. I'll buy you a drink at a game next year for an apology.
  8. And he didn't do the annoying "Lets get some runs" yell at the end. Some of the people in the stands actually looked quite pissed.
  9. Well, every game has been an edge of your seat game, aside from the one where the Cubs killed the Marlins. So even if, God forbid, the Cubs get in, there is no doubt that every team has played at a level WAY above where they all were all year long, and that somebody was always stepping it up. I can't remember any post-season being this friggin' amazing! Oh, and yes, ROCK THE f*** ON BOSTON!!!
  10. This is nice, but I ain't getting my hopes up yet. If after the 5th we still see this score (or better), then I might start to relax, but right now it is just carrying on the fun of last night.
  11. Come on man, the problem started when Bernie Mac (who, I was reminded yesterday, is a Sox fan) purposely messed up the words to "Take Me Out To The Ball Game". I wonder if Mac did it like that so that he wasn't having to actually root for the Cubs.

  13. Oh man, I can't believe I feel this bad for a Cub fan in an incident involving the Cubs! It says his number has been disconnected. Sad thing is that it was probably one time friends harrassing him that caused him to disconnect. Or he was just smart and had it done before all the idiots started calling.
  14. O.K., didn't want him to begin with, but now I can say "f*** him"!
  15. I know you weren't serious, that's why I had a big grin smiley there. Just wanted to defend them a bit here.
  16. True rex, But s*** they had the chance to get out of it. It all seems taylor Made. The thing that pissed me is that the 2 or 3 morons that went after the ball too pointed at the guy so security could kick him out.. HUH they all went after it.. The crubs got Confident, now they might pay with the series I believe security came to get the guy to protect him. He wasn't getting tossed, he was being saved. They even gave him a little disguise to get out of the area alive!
  17. I feel sorry for the guy with all the s*** he is about to take. Reinsdorf should use this as a great PR move for Sox fans and actually offer up Sox season tickets to the guy. You know on opening day, if he is there, he would get a standing ovation at Comiskey! And in all honesty, it couldn't have happened to a finer player than Moises. That guy just gets under my skin almost as bad as Sosa! :fthecubs :fthecubs
  18. Come on people, even if they win 2,000 World Series, nothing makes up for the fact that they are the Cubs and the Cubs fans! You know though, I still HATE how those friggin' announcers jerk off to every aspect of this damn team and that damn park! In the few seconds I saw, they were drooling over how pretty the ivy was with all the "fall colors" and how the players were running around taking leaves off the wall and putting them in their hats (like a bunch of pansy-assed sissies I might add). All the while they were showing the walls of that place, and I swear to God there was NOTHING pretty about the ivy, as it all looked rotten. And I LOVE the fall colors! :fthecubs
  19. Is that Comiskey? I would guess if you can see it from the Ryan. Do you think they might be trying some way of shutting up the people that b**** about the steepness of the upper deck? Not sure how they could do it, but I am not an engineer, though I work for engineers.
  20. Sorry Soxtalk.com, I had to go with the JR selling deal, as that one would benefit the team most. Though I have no idea who I would want to have as the owner. Does Steinbrenner have a cooler brother? Maybe Bill Murray? He loves Veeck, though he is a Cubs fan. I believe a fan needs to be the owner. Name some high profile fans of the Sox.
  21. No, they are still great friends, just a little misguided in these trying times. But the he of them (it's a married couple) does drums for me, and we have been through the standard tough times band members will face, and no sport can step in the way of that.
  22. Yeah, I agree with that . Mainly because I think the fans will be calling for his head, and Reinsdorf has nobody else to have take the fall with Jerry gone. And as much as we all hate to admit it, JR will be the kingpin for the rest of most of our lifetime.
  23. I was a little excited for the simple fact that it would have been current news about the team I love and not some other team!!! How bad are things in this city when I actually was a little excited to hear about one of my favorite players being traded, JUST SO I COULD GET SOME TALK ON TV ABOUT MY TEAM!?! :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs We need one of those "f*** The" signs for the Chicago media.
  24. Do you mean next season? If you mean this season, well...ya know.
  25. For me it is the arrogance. You can be the most knowledgable baseball fan in teh world and be a Cub fan, cool, but if you are an arrogant prick about your team, you still suck. And there are no fans in the game with the arrogance of the Cub fans, with the exception of the Yankee fans, but they can be arrogant.
