I've been keeping track on the board here. I got up, walked downstairs to the TV, and the first thing I see is Crosby doing THAT!!! URGH!!! I hate when that is the view I get. That Crosby guy is a problem for us, isn't he? He hit one in the first game also. Well, atleast we have a great BP.

We still can't hit fresh faces. With the managment change, I guess we didn't get better scouting???

O.K., time to cool down a bit and get back at 'em at the next inning. Now, lets hope the bats come out to play. Our middle to bottom has been great so far, lets just hope that we can keep it rolling. But I need to ask the age old question with this team, have they ever seen this pitcher before? I do believe he is all new to us and everybody.

...hmmmm...that was exciting. I am soooo glad I am not a Yankee fan. Not sure of the exact reasons, it just seems like such a lowsy way to have to go through life. Yeah, your team wins, but you still seem clueless. Again, don't ask why I think that, I just do.

Just last week I cut about 15" of hair off of my head. I went from an extreme longhair to being a dopey crew-cut style in the blink of an eye. I only did it due to a horrible balding problem I am having. That was 20 years of hair gone. I speak from experience, a baseball hat keeps the hair from blowing in your eyes. Amazing how it works. The only problem Johnny will have is the heat and the fact that if he takes a deep breath while looking up at that fly, he might swallow a whole buncha hair! I hated when that would happen. I find the beard more annoying actually.

Thanks for that link. I was going to mention something about how oldtimer BB players usually had some form of facial hair. And since when was Baseball considered a "classy" sport? Oldtime players were usually looked down upon by society when not on the field. To be a pro-ball player was not a good thing in the eyes of many. Ty Cobb? Yeah, there was class. I say good one for Damon. IMO the game has gotten too out of touch with the real world. Too many players running around with the diamonds and gold chains. Damon looks like an everyday guy, and THAT is what made baseball the game it once was.

I found out about the song being played by means of my boss. Ya see, he is a HUGE Cubs fan, and he came into the office this morning screaming about how the idiots just went ahead and screwed everything up! He said that for whatever reason they were blowing up the ball (stopping the new curse), he feels that they just nixed any good that may have done by singing the Sox song. So true fans understand the mess up there.

To give some credit to the boneheads, there is almost NO talk of this on their board. Plus the Cubs site makes no mention of the "event" on their main page.

This is just getting further and further out of hand. I should hope that if this EVER happend the Sox, that NO FAN would dare show up for something as stupid as this.

As for Konerko and his OBP, doesn't he have to actually get on base to have an OBP? I seem to remember that for the majority of last season he never even saw the field from an on-base perception.

Have to agree with the :puke for Fogerty. I also have to agree that I prefer Miller. But then again I am a 33 year old guy who loves silent films. Take that for what it is worth.

The time is almost here for the season to start. I don't give a rats tuckus if we didn't make any of the moves I was hoping to see made, and I don't care what that team on the other side of town is doing. I also don't care what the Yankees did anymore. I just want to see my team on the field again, and I want to hear the crack of the bat, and the slap in the mitt. This is where we are, and that will have to do for me. I just want to see some baseball! First though is the torture of College Basketball...ugh. Oh, and now the wonderful world of driving fast also. I would rather watch 24 hours straight of Cub-love than watch even 1 minute of either of those things.

I like whatever we get. My daughter is now a Brownie, so we have NO PROBLEM finding them! As for the best cookies out there, nobody makes a better cookie than Archway!!! I could live off of any of the fruit filled ones!

I think maybe I should listen to the news. What are we talking about here? Are we talking about "whatever happened to Chris Snopek"?

I know this is the real world we are talking about, and money and ego are king, but I could swear that I have always heard that any rivalry between these guys was all media created, and that actually Jeter and A-Rod are actually very good friends. I could be way off, but I know that it comes about during All-Star time often, and they usually laugh about the media making a big deal about the "competition" between them. Or am I wrong...again?

Can somebody tell me why some of you call Mariotti "Kotex-boy"? Is there something that happened once that I don't know about, or is this just a name some find humorous? Just curious.
