  1. ABs per HR: Mune: 11.24 (1st in MLB) Vargas: 16.54 (16th) Colson: 17.35 (19th) Only team with 3 in the top 20. Four other teams have two: NYY: Rice (5th) and Luis Garcia (18th) LAD: Shohei (9th) and Muncy (10th) WSH: Wood (8th) and Abrams (13th) ATH: Langeliers (14th) and Kurtz (17th) Mune (2nd) and Vargas (17th) are also top 20 in walk%. No other duo is top 20 at both.
  2. Today was Mune's first game of his career with no true outcomes. All outs on balls in play, no walks/strikeouts/HRs.
  3. Cleveland loses 1-0 to the Giants, at home with their ace on the bump. DET offense + CLE pitching would be pretty scary if you could combine them, but MIN might be the bigger threat as is.
  4. Urquidy after hearing it might be tough to patch together innings today:
  5. 🥰
  6. I almost wish I could like him or at least be ambivalent towards him, since he's going to be in Chicago for a while and hangs out with other young Chicago athletes that I do like. I don't auto-dislike Cubs players or rivals who play well against the Sox. But he's just not likeable at all to me (and doesn't even bother to offset his obnoxious personality by being even a little photogenic either...)
  7. Loose body removal, not TJ, so he should be good to go for next season.
  8. Your first place Chicago White Sox get the shutout W to improve to 66-60, Getting very close to that preseason win total line with 36 games remaining. The crosstown ends in a split, with both teams winning their home set and almost every game being close...kind of what you might expect from two good squads going at it. The road trip overall was some good playoff-like experience for a young team, and they come out of it 4-2 with a strong argument that they could/should have done even better. MIN won, DET lost, CLE plays later. Division lead at 4 with a run of games against the Twins coming up soon. 7 game homestand up first though, would be nice to create some distance after getting no help from ATL. Urquidy player of the game, with Braden as a close second. Locked in after the pickoff and decided to just win the game.
  9. Getz was clearly caught off guard by just how much the offensive leaped ahead of the SP pipeline this year, and the injuries to basically all of the "next up" arms didn't help. But even then, he did manage to put together a pretty dang solid bullpen. Very frustrating seeing people complain about having a "bad" pen when they give up 1 run in 5.1 innings or something.
  10. Why didn't the Cubs just pick up Urquidy instead of coughing up prospects for two guys he outpitched? Are they stupid?
  11. He just wanted to flex on Bregman for the last out after he gave us hell this series
  12. Highest win% in baseball when the starters go 5+ He makes the right calls when the pen isn't overworked and he has the weapons available Gets far too much blame for not being able to magically pull 15 innings of scoreless pen work out series after series
  13. Adding on here would make the call to keep Ur-K-dy in easier
  14. First time a team has lead by more than 2 in this series
  15. Agreed. I'm fine with him in LF and not in any rush to move him back to an already crowded IF mix.
  16. 95.1mph on the OF assist from Braden, put him on the mound
  17. He was having a bit of fun lol, maybe his most likable Sox moment so far
  18. Umps will deny challenges if there's any sign of looking to the dugout for a signal. The dugout feeds are also delayed beyond the window to challenge.
