  1. This game is probably for the series. They face Valdez tomorrow, and he's been very good lately. Wins in 5/6 since they saw him in Chicago, and the other game was a ND after 8IP 1ER. Gusto should be an easier matchup, especially if they keep working counts.
  2. Giolito also with a bounce back outing. 6IP, 1R (unearned) vs. the Rays. ERA at 5.45. Can't believe Cease has a 2-5 record. Even the 2023 White Sox got him win #2 in April, and loss #5 didn't come until August.
  3. Ryan Fuller hard at work.
  4. I know they have some pitching injuries, but it's wild to watch the Dodgers just conceding a division game. They were down 4-0 through 5, left a rookie out to die at 111 (!!!) pitches until it was 9-0 in the 6th, and then put a position player on the bump. Should someone check Shohei's betting accounts again?
  5. Of the 15/30 Pipeline guys who are position players, 11 played today. Of that 11: All 11 reached base (6 multiple times) 7 got a hit (5 multiple hits) 5 hit HRs 5 worked a walk (1 multiple walks) Some offensive highlights outside the top 30: Zavala 2-3 with a HR. Galanie 1-2 with a 2B and 3 BBs. LMG 2-4 with a BB and HR Lee 3-4 with a 2B, HR, and BB. Julks 2-3 with 2BB, Fletcher 2-4 with a 2B Eduardo Herrera, last year's biggest IFA, looks much improved in his second crack at DSL On the pitching side, Bockenstedt in WS (6IP, 0ER, 2H, 2BB, 6K) and Shane Murphy for Bham (7IP, 0ER, 1H, 1BB, 5K) especially stood out. Murphy's outing was a career best. His ERA is down to 1.47. Birmingham graduated/lost to injury several top arms and still has the best team ERA in the Southern League.
  6. .938 OPS with RISP last season and nearly 1.000 in late/close situations. He's a clutch guy, knack for finding the big hit.
  7. 5-2 so far vs. teams from Texas, should they move to the AL West?
  8. Very fun night on the farm
  9. Zavala adds a HR of his own, that's 3 games in a row for him
  10. Getz said Friday that X-rays on Montgomery’s hand were negative and that he was having soreness, but he added that Montgomery ‘‘dodged a bullet.’’ https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/06/08/white-sox-colson-montgomery-rebuild-chris-getz-chase-meidroth-edgar-quero-kyle-teel-ryan-fuller
  11. Antonacci leadoff HR on the first pitch. Dash lineup really missed him, but he might not be there for long at this rate. Perez goes B2B. Leads the league in RBIs (39), tied for second in HR (12). And now Braden goes yard too LOL, 107mph 424ft to right center.
  12. Roman Anthony 0-4 with a BB, K and RBI in his debut. Also an unfortunately timed error. Boston leads the league with 60 errors through 68 games.
  13. The sample size of players with Taylor's specific combination of height and extension is so small as to probably not be particularly predictive on either role or injury risk But I remember reading this relatively nerdy back and forth on it in ST: https://x.com/sunshinevvn/status/1898863172695781868
  14. You're probably right, but I actually think it would be very cool if his first MLB appearance was a save. Not sure that's ever happened before.
  15. Antonacci #3 in A+ (173 wRC+) , Mogollon #2 in A (164 wRC+)
  16. Good shout. Bannister's always a great listen.
  17. He'll be electric out of the pen, but I don't want that to cut off his starting prospects longer term. All good if it's a Crochet situation.
