  1. Hope it's nothing serious, he's having a big year.
  2. Galanie go ahead slam with 2 outs in the 9th
  3. Burke was on third as the go ahead run with 1 out top 9. He broke for home after a wild pitch, but it bounced off the backstop directly back to the catcher and his creative attempt to evade the tag came up short.
  4. Vaughn 3-5 tonight. The hits: 104 mph line drive single to LF 86mph groundball double down the LF line 105 mph line drive RBI double to RF Elko 1-4, soft ground ball single. Teel 1-4 with 2K. Knights rallied to tie it in the 8th, Coffey allowed a walk off solo HR in the 9th after striking out the first two batters. Knights lose 5-4. Pallette pitched two clean innings, Wikelman ran into trouble in his second inning and got tagged for 3ER. No Colson or Baldwin today.
  5. Maybe he's intimidated by having too many actual outfielders on the roster now. Throw some first basemen and utility guys in the corners for a few games and see if it gets him going.
  6. Tolerable 12-15 record at home but just allergic to any kind of positive momentum on the road. Also, if Luis wants to swing like an all glove no bat CF, he can bat bottom third like one. At least his at bats were watchable when he was walking a bunch early this season. Now he gets runners on in front of him at rates we would have killed for in 2023, and out of the 6 outfielders on the roster he's somehow become the one I'm least convinced could run into a hit with RISP.
  7. Feels like the third (?) time opposing OFs have collided against the Sox this month
  8. Trying not to read anything into the offense looking better with LRJ sitting against a top pitching staff than it does with him playing against a bottom tier one...but these ABs aren't making it easy.
  9. Vargas picked up a 1B glove like 10 games ago
  10. Org is high on him, Fuller cited him recently as a promising bat outside of the bigger names.
  11. Sam Antonacci rehab sighting in ACL. McCants looks ready to head back to Kanny, but no one there is screaming for a promotion to make room. Adrian Gil hit HR #5 to tie for the ACL lead. Having an impressive .950+ OPS season at 19. Fabian Ysalla is off to a solid stateside start. 1.50 ERA in 18IP, scoreless in 4/5 outings.
  12. Mariners have given up a combined 13 runs in the 10th inning in their past 2 games. WAS yesterday, MIN tonight. Tonight they were up 6-3 with 2 outs bottom 9, and then gave up 3 in the 9th to blow the save and 6 in the 10th to put the game out of reach. Munoz' first ERs of the season, and first time giving up multiple hits.
  13. 3-5 day for Gonzo. Calvin Harris' first AA hit was a go ahead 2RBI double with bases loaded and two outs in the 9th. Nice time for it. Eric Adler couldn't nail the save with the ump squeezing him, and the Barons got walked off 8-7. Tommy Vail had a solid AA debut, 5.1IP, 2 ER, 5H, 2BB, 6K.
  14. Knights rallied to break a tie with 2 outs top 9. Baldwin and Amaya (over .900 OPS in AAA lol) got the RBI hits. Knights win 5-3. Decent start from White.
  15. Umberger followed up 6IP scoreless from his last start with 7IP/1 ER today to win a pitchers duel against a former NECBL teammate. Run should have probably been unearned in my opinion. Didn't have the gaudy K numbers today, but that's part of what let him go deeper. Just 76 pitches. Ballers win 2-1, Bonemer had both RBI and solid defense at short.
  16. Colson just got drilled in the knee. Looked painful, and he's out of the game. Walked off gingerly, but unassisted.
  17. Such a winnable game, just a lack of focus at key moments. Quero really looked like a rookie today, maybe for the first game since his debut.
  18. Elko HR Teel goes B2B
