  1. He's a 6'7" RHRP, primarily sinker/slider, tops out around 97. Hard changeup at 89-90. Good results in the hitter friendly PCL. 20 Ks to 8 BB, 5/6 on saves this season.
  2. AL Win-tral? Every ALC team has a winning record in May. Sox now just two games behind the O's, who they visit at the end of the month.
  3. Brooks says he'll make up for it with the bat
  4. Kannapolis has a very impressive team approach and execution on offense. Taking the extra base, working walks, capitalizing with RISP, etc. Highest number of sac flys in the Carolina league, lowest number of GIDPs in A ball. Turned 15 hits and 8 walks into 14 runs because they are adapt at cashing in. Wolkow has a fellow skyscraper on the team with the debut of 6'9" RHP Kevin Davis, a 26yo UDFA.
  5. George and Braden HRs on the same day 😍
  6. Solid contact on 97mph from Colson, unfortunately was right at the guy
  7. Oppor was mostly cruising through his A+ debut into the 4th, but then bad luck and fatigue got to him around the 70 pitch mark. Ground ball that just misses being an inning ending GIDP left the inning alive for an RBI single. Then an IF hit that was fumbled at third led to him being pulled at 3.2IP, 4H, 4ER, 4BB, 3K. 3 of the runs came after he left the game, and 2 of the walks were in the 4th when he was laboring. But on the bright side in WS:
  8. More of a "for fun" mock, but has Liam Doyle as the pick.
  9. If we catch them even for a day I will be so insufferable.
  10. 5 road teams got walked off today and despite being 4-17 away from home, the Sox weren't one of them.
  11. Sox had 21 saves last season and are well behind that pace despite being on track for more wins. That's the fewest since at least 2000 (not counting 2020).
  12. The trend of save-less wins continues on, 13 wins and still just 2 saves. The 7 win Rockies have 5 saves. 21 teams have 10+ already.
  13. .328/.414/.541 with 7 XBH (3 HR) and more walks (9) than Ks (7)
  14. Big props to Thaiss for keeping the inning going with 2 outs too
  15. Not the best night to be a road team with a narrow lead.
  16. I feel the opposite. Really enjoyed him and Stone together, but Tigers broadcasts regularly make me cringe.
  17. Schultz done after 5IP, 1ER, 5H, 1BB, 7K (season high). 76 pitches, left with a 2-1 lead. One of the "hits" was a ball right at Burke in CF that he lost in the sun and couldn't recover. Went for an Arroyo triple.
