  1. TEX fire their offensive coordinator Donnie Ecker. Top 4 team ERA in the AL, but a losing record thanks to scoring fewer runs than everyone but the Rockies (yes, including the Sox). Very Sox-like 82 team WRC+ coming into today despite the talent on the roster.
  2. Hagen is done after a season-best start of 6 scoreless. 4H, 2BB, 6K on 82 pitches. ERA down to 2.28.
  3. Wolkow 2-4 on a pair of IF singles including a well executed bunt. Leaning into his speed lately. Mogollon 3-4 with a 2B and SB. OPS up to .940. Kanny unfortunately lost their SP and the game though.
  4. Mogollon being something would be fun. Kanny won 11-2. Solid 5IP/1ER start for Reyes. McAtee is probably due for a promotion soon, 24yo UDFA RHP with 1ER ( a solo HR) and 16K in 14.IP across 8 appearances. Good stuff. Wolkow 1-2 with a BB, RBI, SB, and *0* Ks. Perfect 11/11 SB for the season. Nathan Archer was a HR short of the cycle. LMG looks good too, kinda wish they'd let him pitch in one of these blowouts.
  5. Taylor doing Taylor things. 3IP, 0ER, 2H, 0BB, 2K. Second "hit" was a swinging bunt that just died on the 3B line.
  6. Plenty of bobbles, but only 1000 cigarette add ons.
  7. Truly baffled by this exchange. Seems clear to me that "moving towards Chicago" is shorthand, as it generally is in baseball discussions. for making necessary progress to reach the majors. A swing-happy prospect getting their K% down is movement towards Chicago. A rehabbing pitcher hitting their targets for getting stretched out is moving towards Chicago. Colson heating up in AAA after potential swing fixes would be moving towards Chicago. No one said anything about him coming straight from AZ (or being traded??) and honestly it feels like you have to work hard to try and interpret it that way.
  8. Sox with 7.5 runs/game and 1.50 ERA in May Chicago baseball undefeated this month, Brewers getting back to back beatdowns from the city
  9. Cease still struggling: 4IP, 2ER, 3H, 3K, 3BB, 1 HBP on 91 pitches. ERA at 5.61. Maybe someone gets to buy low and pay the odd-year Cease price to get his Cy Young even-year performance for next season.
  10. The Sox and Guards have the same run differential coming into today (-24). Sox lose close games and win blowouts, Guards are the opposite.
  11. Perez leads High A in HR
  12. The Shangeup™️ taking the league by storm
  13. The team has been great on the bases as a whole, 82 SB to just 13 CS overall.
  14. Gonzo getting his first career look at 3B today 👀 Ball got past him for a single on a play that a career 3B probably makes, but he started a nice 5-4-3 on the next batter. Bergolla at SS, Camiletti at 2B.
  15. Knights have won 7 in a row for the first time in a decade. Pretty impressive with how the rotation was gutted by injury. Top 5 in most hitting stats certainly helps.
