I feel the opposite. Really enjoyed him and Stone together, but Tigers broadcasts regularly make me cringe. -

Ooof, that was scary. -
Schultz done after 5IP, 1ER, 5H, 1BB, 7K (season high). 76 pitches, left with a 2-1 lead. One of the "hits" was a ball right at Burke in CF that he lost in the sun and couldn't recover. Went for an Arroyo triple.

Schultz gave up a cheapie in the first (walk, seeing eye single, sac fly), struck out the side in the 2nd.
-
Leadoff HR for Cole McConnell, his first as a pro. Interestingly enough, it's also the first ever allowed by the opposing pitcher. Both 10th rounders, taken 4 picks apart.

2025 MLB season...catch-all for non-Sox, non AL-Central
Autumn Dreamin replied to caulfield12's topic in The Diamond Club
Longest streak of alternating 1 run wins/losses in MLB history. -
Zavala so far in May: 8-22 with 4 XBH and more walks (3) than Ks (2). Small 7 game May sample, but I feel like he got going in mid April or so.

Good read on Smith from a Brewers perspective. -

12th win, 3rd series win, and somehow just the 2nd save. -
Clean sweep down on the farm. 3-0 Kanny, nice combined pitching effort. Bonemer 2-3 with a BB, Wolkow 0-3 with a BB and 3K, but he reached on one of his Ks to keep the inning going and get a run across. 5-3 Dash. Braden is still hot, Antonacci 2-4 with a 3B and SB, Zavala looks more comfortable 1-3 with a BB and cut down a run at the plate. Scholtens had a solid rehab effort 4IP/1ER, Vail pitched the last 5. 6-5 Knights behind a couple crooked numbers that they just held on to. Plymell was nice out of the pen, Schweitzer was decent (5IP/3ER on a pair of HR))

Umps have been rough all series, not too surprised frustration peaked eventually. -
Schultz and the Barons rained out, everyone else is underway

Barons game getting very feisty. Bergolla thought he hit a HR, but it was called a double off the top of the wall. Two batters later, Galanie hits a 3 run HR down the LF line that Columbus thought was foul. Columbus manager got tossed. Turner is next to the plate, and the first pitch he sees is behind him. He doesn't like it and steps towards the mound, then both benches clear. Columbus cameras cut away from the action, but the broadcast said there was a good amount of "pushing and shoving" and a couple players being carried away from the scrum by teammates to cool off, but no punches thrown. The pitcher who threw behind Turner got ejected and it looks like they'll play on.

5/10 Sox vs. Marlins 6:10PM CT
Autumn Dreamin replied to DoUEvenShift's topic in 2025 Season in Review
Really subpar umping in this series -
McDougal's stuff was impressive today. 5IP/3ER, but a career high 9K and was hitting 100mph on the fastball. Frankeli Arias had a really nice 2.1IP out of the pen. BMont still hitting, 2-3 with 2 RBI so far.

Maybe the picture is him calling upstairs? 😅 There's a wider shot but still not a ton to indicate which game
-
Gift him season tickets!

Jake Palisch threw 5 perfect innings with 5K for Bham in his first start of his career after some success in long relief. 0.95 ERA and 0.84 WHIP on the season with 14K in 19IP. Mikel continued the perfect game into the 7th, but then gave up a couple hits for 2 ER. Barons couldn't string anything together on offense and lost 2-0. Knights delayed, Kanny suspended, Dash ongoing with Keener on the bump. Settled in after an early HR and has retired 9 straight since.
