  1. Nick... know that my prayers are with you and your family. You are so right when you say things like this (the good and the bad) make us realize that baseball is just a game. Take Care bro. 2. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) How so? I don't feel Brian is the problem. It's Pods. He's terrible, and doesn't belong on a playoff caliber team. Neither does Juan Uribe. For you to say this about Uribe is absurd. Doesn't belong on a playoff caliber team? Look around at all your 2005 World Series Champion swag... remember that if it wasn't for Juan Uribe, you mignt not have it. How quickly fans forget less than a year ago.
  3. Those two players make WAY TOO MUCH MONEY. Stay far away from them.
  4. Yulieski Gurriel is very very good. I like this kid alot. For some reason I bet the Red Sox and Mets (who both need a 2B) will be battling big time with the Yanks to get this kid
  5. I will take the side of thinking the Brewers are dumb. Trade CLee and you don't even get a decent prospect? Nix has been unable to make it in the Rangers outfield for 3 years now. They tried to hand him the CF job for the past two years and he just wouldn't take it. Mench is a hot/cold player... what you see is what you get... not much upside. Cordero is a good bullpen arm. Plus the Brewers traded Nelson Cruz. I think he would have been starting in the Brewers OF in the next year or two. I love this deal for the Rangers.
  6. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 04:04 PM) If anyone has access to Ozzie's post game interview can you share some of his thoughts with us? you can listen to the postgame on www.670thescore.com
  7. QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) Blind optimism and rah-rah cheerleading will lead to NOTHING! Open your eyes and be a smart fan. I understand what you are saying... but a smart fan also realizes that these players care. They want to win. They know they aren't playing well. I agree... Stay Positive... The Sun will still come out tomorrow.
  8. Tuesday... July 25... Bottom of the 1st... Tribe 5... Tigers 0... still no outs
  9. Steve Perry just called... He said "Don't Stop Believin!" Seriously... Go White Sox You Can Do It!
  10. My prediction... Alomar acts as a capable backup for the rest of the season, then becomes Ozzie's bench coach next year.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 04:52 PM) This is just stupid. So you are saying you'd rather have Widger then?
  12. I heard it... Rongey is saying the Score has learned Sandy Alomar is headed back to the White Sox... said more details to come as soon as they know more.
  13. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) Just thinking out loud... Toby Hall is not playing for the Dodgers, and has expressed an interest in a trade to get more playing time. He won't get more playing time here, but he could be a very capable backup. Other possibilites are: Josa Molina Jason Larue Sandy Alomar Jr. Javy Lopez Mike Piazza

  15. I played college baseball with Ben Zobrist. He is a great person, and a great player. He is not talked about much right now... but I guarantee he will a starter for the Devil Rays within the next couple years.
  16. I'd rather have Chris Young back.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 10:38 PM) I can confidently say that Tracey's not an option. and why do you say that with such confidence?
  18. Give me Montero, Give me Tracey, Give me Farnsworth... at this point I will take almost anyone on the farm over Cliff. Thanks for the memories Cliff.
  19. QUOTE(Damen @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 10:03 PM) He won't play in a white sox uniform this year. I'll take that bet. He will make it back... not sure how long he will last, but he will be back.
  20. I believe Jon has earned the right for all of his critics to back up off him for a month or so.
  21. I think there might be something wrong here. On the most recent ESPN Radio Update, they said Crede is having his hand re-examined today. I hope everything is okay, but it might not be.
