  1. I think he still has some faith in Fletcher but it seems pretty clear that Getz isn’t a fan of Colas, and definitely not his glove. Yet he is still here when there have been other guys out there to give a test drive to.
  2. Haha, to be fair, I seem to recall this trade almost being a done deal but the Sox backed out at the last minute when Escobar suffered a slight quadriceps strain. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/06/white-sox-discussing-eduardo-escobar-trade-with-diamondbacks.html
  3. I didn’t realize he was owed $19.5 million. He’s still somewhat productive at 36 years old but the Mets are probably stuck with him unless they eat the majority of that money and a contender wants him.
  4. I didn’t realize we had three outfielders out — specifically that Michael A. Taylor has been undergoing scans due to some elbow inflammation. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/03/al-notes-slater-garcia-canterino.html Oblique injuries take a while to get better and who knows what is up with Taylor? If these guys all hit the DL, perhaps they go with Fletcher, Robert, and Tauchman in the outfield. Hopefully the Mets can’t find a taker for Starling Marte and we can nab Canario as an extra corner OF. Drury makes the team primarily as an infielder but can back up a corner OF position in a pinch.
  5. I still fear him getting injured before Getz gets a chance to trade him.
  6. The Mets are apparently looking to trade OF Starling Marte to dump his salary, which would potentially open up an opening day roster spot for Canario. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/03/mets-trade-rumors-royals-starling-marte.html
  7. MLB and NBA hell burns even hotter than regular hell. 🔥 🔥 🔥
  8. Go ahead. I just think he aged out a bit. If it was 2-3 years when Cali wanted him initially, I think it would’ve made more sense. But honestly, if the Sox incur any more outfield injuries they may wish they had him.
  9. I didn’t want him. He’s already older than our internal options (Colas and Fletcher). I’d trade for a 24 year old outfielder however.
  10. No, your statement was fair. I was reading it as you saying they had a ton of solid/proven options.
  11. JR isn’t done yet feeding on Sox fans’ souls. It’s adding to his years left.
  12. Be careful what you wish for, the grass isn’t always greener, or whatever other idiom you want to use don’t apply when you already have one of the worst owners in not one sport, not two. 🤣
  13. It’s so bad and silty, even hell can’t use it as it’s foundation. The Devil decided that it would cost too much to build on so he looked elsewhere.
  14. Okay, so they are “spoiled for choices in the infield” but mostly with guys who aren't yet currently proven MLB quality infielders or are has-been’s.
  15. I was just curious as to which players you were referring to for each position.
  16. The only way it could be worse is if while attending a Sox game, The Rate collapsed into hell and you were forced to watch this team play with TLR as manager and Grifol as his bench coach, while being burned for eternity by the flames of hell.
  17. You think that Getz would realize this by now considering he DFA both DeLoach and Amaya and was able to retain one and reclaim the other since he was put back on waivers again. If you have multiple guys that can be DFA, not claimed, or were DFA a second time so you can reclaim them, you definitely have players you can dump from your roster for other players. 🤣
  18. They could have DFA’ed a number of bad players. It didn’t have to be Colas. Owen White for one, and he is already a serious rehab project.
  19. So why wouldn’t adding and playing additional prospects make sense instead of playing veterans that won’t be here in a year and won’t be traded for squat?
  20. Can you please list these players out at each of the 3 infield positions?
  21. Totally agree with you on your last paragraph. The problem is that we aren’t privy to all the information on each and every player/prospect that Getz signs or trades for so we aren’t basing our opinions on players with the same information and data as Getz and his team have. They should have more knowledge of all of these players so we should be wrong more often than them. Also, results matter. Whether we like a trade or not from the start, if none of the players acquired turn into productive major leaguers, the trade is more than likely a failure. Especially if people are expecting this rebuild to produce results in 3+ years.
