  1. He probably got sick of the never-ending cycle of getting signed and then DFA’ed by the Braves.
  2. Agreed, but it’s pretty close.
  3. I’ll wait for confirmation from WetButt23.
  4. Where is @Harold's Leg Lift?
  5. Need to stop prematurely busting over this s%*#. Deadline is still a week away. 😞

Brutal. RIP, Hollywood. One of the best matches of all time for the little amount of work he could still do. The crowd reaction, the playing to the crowd, and both Hollywood and The Rock changing roles from heel to babyface during the course of the match.
  8. Worth a shot. The problem with Getz is he keeps acquiring these outfielders that are already a bit older than you really want and then he decides to sign veterans instead of giving them playing time. I realize it’s obviously more difficult to acquire a 23 to 25 year old outfielder that is putting up numbers like Robertson, but if you acquire a guy that’s already 27, you need to see what you have with him ASAP. For example, look at Dominic Fletcher. I don’t think much of him but do we even know what he truly is yet? Could he at least be a fourth outfielder? He was 26 when he was acquired and he is already going to be 28 in early September, yet he only has 241 plate appearances in a Sox uniform. Either acquire these 26-27 year old outfielders, stop signing old vets, and actually give them a real shot, or stop bothering to trade for them. You know when a perfect time to play these guys is? When you have back-to-back seasons with 100 losses. Getz’s strategy with these guys is bizarre.
  9. Only 30 to 40 more years and maybe sabermetrics will mean something… https://www.mlb.com/cut4/hawk-harrelson-invents-the-will-to-win/c-45852078
  10. I know this is at least 3+ years down the line and a lot of things can change, but I could see the Sox plan being to play Colson at SS for now and move him to 3B when/if Carlson is ready for the bigs. Colson appears to have a cannon for an arm and could probably easily transition to 3B. I doubt Vargas is a long-term solution at any position.
  11. They definitely need way more power and also need to luck into a few above average position players and maybe even a star.
  12. They were going to send him to the bullpen to insert Jacob Misiorowski into the rotation. Civale wants to start. Civale got what he wanted — he has remained a starter and may still be traded to a team in competition for the postseason anyways.
  13. He also called Colson “Colton” instead. I almost think he’s doing it on purpose as a part of his schtick.
  14. “White Sox signed first-round pick SS Billy Carlson. Carlson receives a full-slot $6.23 million signing bonus as the 10th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, according to MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis. The 18-year-old prep shortstop is universally-regarded as the best defender in his draft class and has a chance to develop above-average over-the-fence pop. He’s a couple years away from reaching the majors and he’ll get plenty of time to refine his offensive game in Chicago’s system.”
  15. Haha, they just cut to Brooke Fletcher early as she was asking how her hair was doing.
  16. I thought for sure that Colton would let Louie Roberts steal 2B and then knock him in.
  17. You buy the tickets this time. I’ll buy next.
  18. Schriffen is happy he isn’t getting beaten by Stone in between innings.
  19. Gotta love the old Jacque Jones / Benintendi botched wind up spiked throw from the outfield.
